Want to cut off the tabs for the belt guard and etc. on the swingarm. Can this be done with out affecting the strength? How about the tabs on the front forks for an extra brake can thoose be cut off as well?

Hacksaw, cutting wheel, milling machine?

I used a hacksaw to get the large "chunk" off and then "brought it in" with an air grinder and then small files and sand paper!

Hey Buellfighter, I was looking at the picture on your profile, I can't even see where there were any lugs.
Air grinder, I'll have to look into it, I only have a little air pump. The lugs looked like a hacksaw and files would do it, but man what a lot of work.

You know Buellfighter, your bike is one that would look really good with a cut-down cam cover, did you ever consider that?

Hey Jayvee!

The hacksaw has to do with the removal of the caliper mount on the left leg and then the grinder to finish it!

The tabs were removed with the grinder close to the surface and then used a file to bring it flush with the surface.

I did trim the cam cover but like the way it "flows"(lol) into the sprocket cover. Pics archived in cool buell pics Dec 22 2005
