Hi, a family member in France wants me to bring him an intake system for his M2 (either a 2000 or 2001, not sure). Anyway I was having trouble finding info for buell parts in general so I figured I'd give this a try. What do you guys recommend for replacing the stock intake/filter? And if you have any other ideas as far as mods please let me know. I'd love to surprise him with something else that he would enjoy.

I'd recommend the Buell race filter (Carbon Fiber Ham can with a K&N filter inside). See my profile pic to see what they look like. I've got one and it works great. Check with Al at American Sportbike or others on our sponsor pages. He can hook you up with whatever you need.

What Delta said.
But, if the rider is a bit long legged, they may be better off with the Force Winder.

Kind of dig the CF ham cans my self (We've got 3 of them..).

I have both. I like the nakedness of the Force and the extra knee room too. I'm 6'-3" with a 35" inseam.

I'm using the forcewinder for the same reasons as Blake. Pic in my profile.

I had the race filter for about 15 minutes until I fractured the CF cover with my knee coming down from a wheelie. It was an expensive mistake on my part - I put my old Forcewinder back on. I don't think it flows as much, but it works way better than a cracked race filter.

Definitely go with the carbon fiber one, it looks much better.

Now here I was, about to buy a Carbon-Fiber Forcewinder clone, called the Airblow, from a company in Germany, RRC. About $365.

Looks like he can get better than us as it is.
