ok, got my bike back from a rear tire and rotor change a couple of weeks ago and a few days later I noticed a funny ringing sound coming from the bike..... took about another week to figure out what it was. you guessed it, the left side axle adjuster was just loose enough that it was rattleing around at idle. So I grab my tools and loosen everything up and start over.... realign the rear wheel, set belt tension (or lack of), and re-tourque.

ride for a day, and axle adjuster is rattling away again.

anyone have any suggestions?

Yes.
The swingarm isn't threaded.
Adjust the axle to where you want it and tighten the axle so it's not going anywhere.
Now apply a slight amount of force to the adjusters and lock the lock nuts.
I think you need two 1/2" wrenches and one 7/16".

That's two 1/2 in wrenches and a 3/8's.

There is no locknut... its a nylock nut and its a 3/8"

I took a closer look at it today and found out that the "bolt" or threaded rod has actually come loose from the ring that the axle goes through.

Do I hit it with some thread locker and run it back in, or is that not going to be enough to hold it.

Oh man! I'm sorry. You have the older steel swingarm. I gave you bad advice.
