Now, I know they could have built the yacht shorter, but, hey, ego, and I don't care if he owns a taller yacht than that actor. Not my circus. But they could have built it to the point it could pass under the bridge, then finished it at a facility downstream. I have no idea what thought process is involved. But considering that his business empire ( where I hate to admit, I spend money ) has a high level of evil treatment to their workers, I assume he either assumed he'd have his way and screw everyone else, or hired idiots and never thought about bridges, ( the most charitable guess ) or... That's a distant sin by an American Success Story compared to his Personal Media Empire and it's censorship of the Truth about... Who knows? What's really creepy is I'm pecking this on a Kindle from that evil dude, the Microsoft ( special Amazon version ) Bing search engine on it gives Very different news articles on Amazon & Union stuff than my PC identical search, on Microsoft Bing! And different results when I run Bing on a Brave browser. You'd expect different from Google, ( it is ) whose motto seems to be, Evil is profitable. And just to get away from the name calling, because I am perhaps, unfairly treating Jeff, ( and if it's not deserved? Sorry. Call me, I'll apologize! ) and the entire subject of Ultra Rich Elites, like Jeff, who cooperate with and lobby the government, especially the evil Karen's parts, controlling the information to you, sounds paranoid. Fancy cheese and aioli. My meal came out to under $30 w/diet coke. My biggest surprise was the vending machines. A bit more expensive than the shop's $20 bags of snacks, sure, but Beats headphones and chargers and cables were the bulk of the displays. Brilliant! Capitalism at it's finest, supplying goods and services in a mutually beneficial relationship. I also had a nice conversation with a stranger from Dallas about shop prices at the airport. Ridiculously high, sure, but rental costs where there's a massive stream of hungry and affluent customers, 24/7? Those vending machines selling headphones must cost a fortune to rent their floor space, and it's gotta be Million$ for tiny restaurants. The funniest thing to me was the "drug amnesty" boxes in the airport where travellers were urged to dump their marijuana before arriving at a destination where it was illegal. My first 2 perverted thoughts were that the airport needed a vaping lounge so travel would be less stressed, ( but then many would be late to their flights ) since they had a free supply of Pot at hand. And then I wanted to apply for the job emptying Amnesty boxes, as I imagine the back room for employees only filled with every kind of smoke from the planet. Which might explain why the TSA folk were so nice... | ||

True anecdote. One problem with bragging about anything is you'd better be able to walk the walk. For years I've told other pilots that glider pilots get used to flying in turbulence that you don't want to fly passengers through, since we seek out vertically moving air. So halfway between Rochester and Chicago, as we flew through the upper parts of the squall line, the jet hits the bumps, and without thinking I grab both my drink, and the passenger beside me's, hold them in front of me in mid air as purses, drinks, and phones fly around the cabin. The passenger stares, kinda shocked by my impertinent action, as curses, screams, and random objects fill the cabin. Meanwhile I'm waving our drinks in elliptical arcs in front of me, then as the turbulence passes, set them down, unspilled, on our respective tray tables. I just shrugged, "I'm a pilot". Otoh, I can't get airsick or it ruins my image. | ||

I remember the LA Times published photos of Baghdad with faked smoke to lie about the War in Iraq against these SAME PEOPLE. ( the Axis of Evil, Russia, China, Iran, Syria, etc. ) I also remember when the Second Infitada was beginning, that every U.S. Party Propaganda outfit showed the same edited footage to change the story to a lie while the BBC showed it unedited, showing the truth.
