Congress isn't doing anything except using it as an excuse to point fingers, there's no rational legislation to spend that money. It may or not be smart or ethical to bail out the big depositors, you can argue either way, but it's certainly not legal. My fear/guess/prediction is that this bailout is just a future excuse for Joe* and the Swamp to bypass the already broken budget system, and spend money without any restrictions. Cutting Congress out of the loop. If you thought inflation was bad when Congress authorized trillion$ in spending of money they just made up, then inflation from Unlimited spending of imaginary money is going to be Epic. Zimbabwe Epic. My grandfather lost his farm during a bank crisis, lost everything. He didn't get bailed out. When the Barney Frank/Clinton real estate bubble burst, people lost their homes. Every penny a corporation pays in taxes it takes from customers and hourly employee's wages. Not one cent from the "company" and not one cent from the Management. Rat, again thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure we're rushing into a total economic collapse, as some pundits have been predicting. But I'm sure that Joe* will continue to make it worse for me. And between Common Core, CRT, ESG, & DEI, the first step in recovery is to fire everyone in in those movements in companies, & colleges, which will spike the crap out of unemployment. Removing the cancer from public schools and government is a bigger problem, which I'm pessimistic about. | ||
