Desantis is about to fold to Disney, apparently....stay tuned, we'll see how that goes.

I'm nervous.

ANY politician owes somebody, SOMETHING. And, that chip WILL get called in at some point.

Trump? Owes nobody. Nada. Zilch. Self-made, beholden to none. THAT, is what made him so formidable. While I like Desantis...the jury is still out on him, and any other "republican", until they pass an acid test.

Most fail, because they owe somebody something...and they vote accordingly when they have to cash in that marker. Desantis not wholeheartedly throwing in behind Trump? Tells me he owes somebody, somewhere, something...

I disagree on that last 2 sentences.

Oh, you could be right, I'm willing to believe ANY politician is dirty, after all, they jumped in the swamp.

But why expect anyone planning to run for office to wholeheartedly throw in behind their opponents? That's dumb to do. Both expect it, ( because ) and for the politician to do so.

Say Desantis runs for Prez. If he jumps on the Trump Bus now, Donald will properly point out, "You supported me in December!" & blast him for a traitorous dog.

And I point out Donald already started running AGAINST Desantis the very hour he announced his candidacy. In now classic Trump Style. Mean speak.

Thus Desantis would figuratively have to be an idiot to support Trump nearly TWO FRACKING YEARS before the election and over a Year before the primary season. Corruption and evil aren't required at all to be Not An Idiot.

Sure, I'd love to see a splendid coordinated front against the Democratic Socialist disaster in progress. Trump & Cruz & Desantis & whoever. But that's a pipe dream.

For one thing, Trump is not going to stop insulting his opponent. Like or despise that aspect of the guy, he's not going to change.

And another, Trump proved that immediately hitting back at criticism is rather popular with a LOT of people. People tired of watching Republican politicians fail to defend themselves, the people who voted for them, and any morals/ideals/Truths under fire by the Establishment.

If that's true for Donald, it's true for others. Even Desantis.

I also want to point out that Trump was literally the Candidate of choice of the Hillary Campaign in 2016.

The e-mails show clearly that the Hillary Campaign TOLD their Media branch to promote Trump.

Oh, they figured Trump was a loose cannon and couldn't possibly defeat Hillary, and they got half that right. It may go down as one of the dumbest political ploys in history, next to Chamberlain and "Peace in our time".

The Hillary Campaign got their way. The Party Media ignored the other 15 candidates. One might have been a great choice, but Hillary and Her Media desperately didn't want you to know.

And I'm watching it happen again.

The Obama/Soros/Biden* regime is pushing to get Trump as their boogeyman to pump up the numbers so they won't have to be as obvious at the Election Fraud.

I'm not saying you should not like Trump. Or that you should. Not my point.

But 7 Solid Years of Lying About Trump 24/7 and 2 Impeachment shows, plus the Reichstag Fire TV show outa Congress, means a LOT of people on all sides of the political spectrum think Donald is too Toxic. Feel free to argue that he's a good choice, but as of today, notice that the Democrats think, Again, that he's going to help them more than you. And they may have a point. That Red Wave may have fizzled because of abortion and Trump and Successful Agitprop.

If Trump had not been hinting that he was going to announce before the elections that might have greatly reduced his propaganda usefulness for the Dems, but it would not have eliminated it. I get their "gimme money" texts daily. Trump is & was their Boogeyman, and the fear campaign worked.

The red wave fizzled because we haven't embraced election fraud like the Left has.

Nor have we put a stop to it.

Lake? HER OPPONENT RUNS THE ELECTION BOARD. If a conservative tried that, could you even IMAGINE the hellstorm surrounding it???

Conservatives don't need to STOP election fraud...we need to EMBRACE it. Once we do that...THEY will see to it that the cheating stops. Soon as we use it to beat THEM...oh no, we won't have any of that!!

Now, a rational person (there's a couple of us left) will realize that 7 solid years of persection with NO CHARGES FILED AND NO PUNISHMENT LEVIED means Trump IS as good as he says he is. They found nothing...because there's nothing to be found.

The fact they're still digging just proves how scared they are of him.

And I don't see Desantis having that kind of impact. I don't see him being that ruthless. And, I don't see him being that...unencumbered by favors-due. If he is? Great, let's have at it. But right now he's a little too mainstream-party, to me. I could be wrong.

Don't misunderstand - I like him, and I'm glad he's keeping my mom's home state sane in a crazy world. I just don't know if he's as invincible as someone who owes absolutely nothing, to anyone, and can act purely for the betterment of the nation.

Don't have to imagine. See Stacey Abrams.

I'm not saying there was, or was not fraud in that election. But the circumstances were broadly similar, and the results rejected by Ms. Abrams.

My guess & opinion is your selection of candidates will be more than we know now, and the Party Media will try very hard to ignore anyone they don't want you to vote for.

And to be clear, who they think they can beat, is the one they will talk most favorably about, albeit still with hatred and many lies.

To be fair to Trump, the Occupation White House is utterly unconcerned with laws they ignore and Constitutional Rights they violate, so Donald is right on the money in his analysis.

Only a tyranny desire type would interpret his comments as a call to arms to take back the country from an illegitimate coup. It's what they would do.

I'm pretty sure if The Bad Orange Man wanted to call for a counter coup, he'd say so in no uncertain terms. Subtle isn't his strong suit.

But Jan 6!

Donald called for a peaceful protest. Loud and clear. From what I can tell the "insurrection" was run by the FBI. Who have amply demonstrated a willingness to lie to you & Congress and run False Flag operations , including assassination "attempt" and terrorism.

Based on prior performance, who to believe does not include the Washington Post or anyone in the Washington Establishment.

The D Media needs something to distract the masses and Trump has been their favorite distraction for almost 8 years now.

And we now know with documentation, thanks to Elon, that the Swamp has been "advising" the D Media on what to lie about, what to censor, and who to suppress.

So basically the Enemies of the Citizens once again prove Trump's truth, they're After you, he's just in the way.

By announcing his candidacy, The Bad Orange Man changes his legal status for the upcoming Dept of Justice assault.

Basically he's forcing an obvious Third World dictatorship response to arrest a political rival in the public eye.

Some pundits are bucking the "Trump can't win, so why won't he go away?" And " I hate Trump now" trends in pundit land, by pointing out he just made 4 million dollars, legally, by selling the imaginary exclusivity to a digital picture. The biggest troll ever.

Personally I suspect he's going for "The Producers" money grab by pretending to run, and will use his auto fame because They Hate Him status to attack the ballot fraud coup in progress. Last month he was just a sore loser. Now he's a sore loser with automatic press coverage.

My bet/prediction is Donald will deliberately get himself kicked off Twitter.

I've got CDs full of lousy novel ideas and plot outlines. The current political situation is quite a lot like a badly written Tom Clancy ripoff.

Because novels have to try and make sense, but reality doesn't. And Certainly the Biden* Occupation doesn't even try.

Subplot B in "no one would buy this" unpublished novel x is now "Trump sells NFTs to troll Wall Street, but the jpegs advertising the "trading cards" has the 4Chan account password to a doxxing database with the personal information on everyone who Trump wants revenge upon, and that information is being buried in millions of social media accounts so it can't be erased.

For example tpehak's bio on an obscure motorcycle site has encrypted links to a Ukrainian server containing the home addresses of every FBI employee identified by whistle blowers as political operatives. Totally unbeknownst to him.

( insert maniacal laughter )

Obviously can't sell something that outrageous!

My take was different from the ones above.

"If he's right, then there's no mechanism to stop the coup he claims stole the country from the voters"

And "that looks like insane ranting that guarantees that he can't win. Is that his intent?"

How you view Trump's declaration of war on the Establishment is dependent upon your attitude towards him. But it also is influenced by your attitude towards the 2020 election fraud rumors, confirmed and suspected.

Because if the election WAS stolen, then you have to seriously consider my first reaction above. The official D Party line is "it's too late now, so shut up" and there's no provision for a correction. ...

Loved the meme from Coffee Anytime.

I never was a Trump Fan. Maybe that's why I'm so skeptical about the many pundits that suddenly switched to blaming him for locusts and sandstorms, or losing elections.

I have to wonder, why they don't blame the Democrat Party Media blitz on abortion in the wake of the Supreme court's ruling, and that minor, tiny, little, unspeakable, issue of massive voter fraud and corruption.

You're forgetting that big media and their cohorts in state and especially local govt (all the big metro areas) will absolutely expose election fraud on the other side.

Ok, rare day. I agree with Trump.

When Roe vs. Wade was cancelled, ( legally sound but a PR nightmare ) the subject of abortion was thrown back to the State Legislatures. Some Rs submitted bills that offered no exceptions for rape/incest/Clinton, and the Ds invested heavily in using those examples to scare young folk.

It doesn't matter that those legislators weren't "on the ballot". That's a lousy logical fallacy. Neither was Donald or Joe* But both were big influences.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is in abortion, what matters is the perception created by propagandists. And the Ds did a full court press on appealing to their future core. And it worked.

The core they focused on could, in very rude terms, he described as sluts who don't want to take responsibility for their actions. Male and female.

Since the current miseducation system teaches responsibility is racist, expect more and more propaganda to anger that base.

See also The Terror of The French Revolution and every other purge by the leftist cults. Same Sh$%, different days.

But those unpleasant facts don't change that the Pro-Life movement has to recognize that it is an Absolute Necessity to protect girls from being forced to bear the babies of those who raped them, and that horrific problem is a growing fact of life in a world & country increasingly obviously run by child rapists ( remember the big release of the Epstien videos? I don't. ) and that's from the hair sniffing groper in the White House all the way down to the public school level.

They want to protect themselves. I want to protect the kids. Both of us want the kids not to be forced to have the evil monster's babies. We differ in I also want the monsters buried, or their ashes thrown in landfills.

Trump, who probably knows less about medicine than I do about building hotels, believed his experts. People died because Fauci was trusted, and he censored and denied the possibility of treatment, focusing on an experimental drug to the exclusion of reality.

Buck, unfortunately for Trump, stops on his desk.

I don't know who Trump is listening to today, but they suck. Attacking Ron instead of Joe* is not making people love him more.

Personally, I'd like to see Trump take another shot at wrecking the Deep State. There would be continuous lawsuits against everything he tried, and The Bad Orange Man would have to literally order doors locked and government agencies internet connection shut down.

"Learn to code".

It's been a fact, since Bush the Younger failed to veto a penny, and Billionaire Pelosi insisted spending one dime less was treason and would destroy the country, that to have a rational budget, there needed to be a huge surge in firings in the Federal bureaucracy.

By the time Barry had doubled the spending, it needed millions to be fired which would have spiked the unemployment numbers.

That didn't improve under Trump, in part because of resistance from the Deep State and ironically, Donald wasn't ruthless enough, or smart enough to pick the right experts.

If you don't chose people not afraid to argue with you, AND you don't let Good arguments change your mind, you will fail in a cloud of sycophants lying to you.

Trumps EGO is hurting both himself and the Republican Party. I was a big supporter of his before, during, and after his Presidency; but am disappointed in his decision to go after Desantis. The two could team up and make a very winnable tandem in 2024. What I am seeing from him right now bums me out.

I agree. Trump needs to PUBLICLY offer the VP spot to Desantis.

They would be unstoppable together.

The two strongest candidates - from EITHER party - on the same ticket? Juggernaut.

If Trump offers it to Desantis? It puts it on Desantis to say yea or nay. Not Trump. Puts him in the clear, as the one who extended the olive branch.

We need to not divide the party.

We need to fight the socialis...er, democrats. Not each other.

Oh, I'm all for a Republican internal revolution, a Tea Party takeover.

But it won't do any good if you repeat the 2020 debacle. Besides the Fraud and Tech Czar Billions showered on the Party election officials, without a United Republican base, you won't win. If X gets the nomination and the Y fans stay home, we all lose.

My opinion is Trump can't overcome the Media Hate Fest in 2024. But he could push another over the finish line if he can submerge his ego, the biggest, best, ego, ever!, and get behind someone new with a different baggage pile.

How about Lake/Owens? I'm assuming Lake fails in the Supreme Court case against her opponent, even though I'm rooting for her.
