I do, however, agree the spread of "health tools" will reduce the death rate. Unfortunately, more and more people are realizing that the "vaccine only, everybody, period" policy that many promote is both flawed, and paid for by the big businesses that make the vaccines. Don't get me wrong, I'm not by any means an antivaxxer loon. The Earth ain't flat! I'm a big supporter of drug companies research into new and better drugs, too. Heck, they saved my life & millions more. But the WHO was in a hard position when the Wuhan plague got released, ( probably accidentally, initially, then deliberately spread by the CCP ) because if they offended the brutal dictatorship with the truth, they'd lose even the limited and dishonest access to the plague origination country. So they lied that the CCP wasn't lying. The WHO knew the CCP & People's Army lied, I knew it, everybody not stupid or in a leftist mind cult knew it, and thus the WHO lost credibility. But it was understandable, if not forgivable. Then there came the propaganda campaign against various treatments. I don't know if drug H was useful, but some actual doctors said it was. Instead of jumping on the "maybe drug H, or drug H and vitamin D, or H + Q, is effective" study and getting evidence in open, publicly available trials to actually find out, several health organization types just denounced ANYTHING that wasn't on their agendas without tests. And the agenda was & still is, the vaccine train. All Aboard! I'm now told, by the CDC & WHO, that the vaccines were not as effective as they first were told, & told us. Ok, that's reality. Early high hopes dashed on the rocks of the biggest Beta test ever. Understandable. Now it's "effectiveness fades in 4 months" & "ok, it doesn't prevent you from getting it, or spreading it, but it greatly improved your chances of not dying from it! So shut up." And those last 2 claims might be true. I'm skeptical, but not a Denier! But I'm also certain I can't trust people who lie, repeatedly. And perhaps it's not fair to tar with the same brush everyone in these organizations, just because the boss outright lies like a rug. The entire system isn't the egotistical multiple liar and probably corrupt Fauci. So... These "health tools"? Is that "more of the same, over and over, and shut up." Or will repurposed anti parasitic & viral & nutrition ( vitamin ) treatments be developed and publicized and offered to the world? As I often say, using fake science and fake predictions of doom to take money and power, have a serious side effect. You cry Wolf! with no wolves, then warnings of REAL danger will be ignored. See multiple times people won't leave the village by the volcano because they were told to run too soon. That's a serious problem that vulcanologists are well aware of. Especially after a few scientists got prosecuted in Italy for not having godlike powers to see the future and a bunch of people died. Seriously, if the WHO announced tomorrow, that a mutant strain of, let's just say, parrot pox, ( i hope I just made that up ) is now loose in, say, Brazil, and we need to isolate every city and country to save mankind... Would you believe them? And ( my hypothetical disease ) is airborne, has a 3 week incubation period, and kills 87% of the people... Would you believe them? | ||

I would not. I would use my own eyes to look at the actual events happening around the globe, and make my own decisions. Like I did with the CCP virus. I saw hundreds of thousands of people NOT DYING from it; I saw doctors talking about standard medications having excellent results against it; I saw the patients of those doctors recovering just fine; I saw MYSELF staying healthy throughout; I took note of my OWN circle of acquaintences, and how many of them had the nerve NOT to die; I took note of who DID die and what their pre-existing conditions were; I took note of my old bio and chem classes, my remembrance of the Scientific Method, and my (admittedly limited/amateurish) knowledge of human health...and I made my own decisions. And here I am. Healthy, and decidedly not-dead. I know...because I have been dead before...and this ain't it. However. I also realize I am among the minority. I am a non-sheep. I don't listen to people because they tell me to. I don't follow the crowd. I analyze. I think. I have open eyes, and do for myself. That makes me an EXTREME minority in today's world. And that...makes me sad. And, it makes me worry. But it does not make me stop. | ||

Oh, no, by all means, indulge yourself. What worries me is the Conspiracy Theories of yesterday are the ignored facts of today. ( and the we said so all along lies of tomorrow ) I'm not surprised about the refusal to admit error, it takes moral courage and intellectual honesty. Side effects, there's the rich mine of Conspiracy theories. I'm rather concerned that MORE crazy notions haven't YET proven true. the young athlete stroke issue seems real. The "vaccine" lowers your resistance to repeated infections thing may be real. and the "really crazy" ones, like fertility/sterilization are a bit scary, we'll see. | ||

Personally I think the lab leak was accidental. Or perhaps more accurately, an inevitable screw up that you get with bureaucrats making budget decisions on subjects they are ignorant about. See note 1. The CCP policies of deliberately spreading the bioengineered plague is a separate issue. I don't expect much to come of that, although imho the guilty parties should be impaled as a warning to others. Re:Fauci, he apparently/allegedly was bribed by the drug companies, not China, and his protecting the CCP is understandable as CYA, without need for corruption from them. Concerns the Chinese Government might have him killed, or attack the U.S. might figure into his lies and criminal acts, but you can safely assume CYA as reflexive. Note 1. The Woman Biological weapons lab used cheaper stainless steel than the expensive specialty steels used in some U.S. research labs. The reason for the expensive steel is corrosion resistance to the commonly used nasty chemicals used to clean labs working on deadly viruses. Assume a kind of bleach with extra acid or base to break viral shells. We know this from multiple sources, including patents from the lab as they desperately tried to develop cleaners that didn't rust out the ventilation system, More. It's been decades since I worked in a chemical plant mixer company, but I still remember the materials we used, testing alloys incoming to verify trace elements, so they matched the specs. ( and I read fast enough and am curious enough to bother to read the full paperwork on the testing process used in the engineering decision making. Number of hours at high temperatures in a salt/base spray, etc. ) I don't recall off the top of my head exactly which alloys are the ones they should have used in the ventilation system and lab surfaces, but I do remember how expensive they were and the running dog capitalism desire to reduce scrap with stuff more expensive than Titanium. | ||

And we occasionally worked with metals so expensive the chips were returned to the customer for recycling. And weighed! I'd have to detail clean my machine before and after. Some were also health hazards, but mostly just proprietary alloys with expensive elements, not found in catalogs, just custom names like "Colt x764321h" NDAs. You know. We did normally have separate drums for steels and titanium, but you just had to brush & hose the machines down between changes. ( we used a Lot of Titanium ) Separate recycling streams and worth the time/money. My division did a lot of weird contract work because We had expertise in weird alloys. Stuff your typical shop couldn't handle. I made a lot of custom tools, like putting Teflon on carbide and Redacted with diamond dust. Oh, and making cans out of 5" 38 caliber dual purpose naval cannon barrels that I had to verify were stamped pre-1944. For a neutrino detector. ( couldn't use modern steel. Everything after Trinity was too radioactive ) I got called in on the engineering team that got the contract because I'd be doing the machining and could discuss radiation factors.
