I graduated in 1973, lottery number in the teens and a college deferral as I was accepted to Texas A&M. Joined the Navy in 1976 to get the GI bill before it ended. I went Nuke, all you missed was insanity, Zane. Got out of the program without losing a stripe and finished my 6 year obligation on an amphibious assault ship (helo carrier) as a comm tech. I fixed radios. I remember 19.9 cents gas and nickel cokes. Getting old is NOT for pussies. Z | ||

Joe, there's hope. My wife met her last week, s well as the AG and Mrs, Youngkin. Good people all around. I moved up here, and they elected Governor Blackface and "Red" Herring. Now I'm seeing up to few back to VA, and we elect Youngkin & Co. Maybe I'm good luck? | ||

I used to buy gas for $0.249 on the end of the Chouteau Bridge near Northeast Power Plant in Kansas City. Periodically . . it went on sale for $0.199 The one that I, personally, do not recall but I remember seeing laying about the house were the Lucky Strikes at $0.23 a pack. There were 2 shiny pennies in each cellophane pack.
