Back to your best form, I see. Thanks again, Pete!!!
I just got done watching SNL. Great show, but the featured band was Bleachers. This band has a 6'1" tall HAWTT blond bass player, a dang good one... she had a very cool "vest" on for both songs played. It was paint... like those Sports Illustrated models a while back. Didn't take me long to notice. Did I mention she was/is a dang good bassist?!?
I'll pay good $$$ to go see THAT band. Seriously, the whole dang band was killer- lead singer was phenomenal, also a rare talent guitarist. Tall blonde with painted-on bodice was just the hook.
Years ago, we were in Suches for Buelltoberfest... this time around I ended up staying with Kristi, Carlos and the idjits at C3Central. No Rice, Barker, Fatty, Froggy, even Tom Bumpus (where the heyull's Tom lately?), and the fella with the hella-fast Husqvarna, et al. All riding with our hair freshly napalmed.
I'll never forget the run back from Richard Russell Parkway, WFO, me on my CityX, Tom on a newer one outriding me- we blew by a county mountie in a Ford Bronco. Took me a minute to decide... time to go to Plaid!!! Once we made it back to 129, Tim and the others in the lead knew JUST which way to turn. Made it back fine... JUST like Getty Lee sang in my fave Rush song, "Red Barchetta". Later that evening Carlos packed the charcoal grill with pork tenderloins, seasoned and perfectly cooked with adobo and Lawry's... to this DAY I still work my loins to match his, from that epic feast!!!
Hope you're doing better every day, brother Pete! Lord knows the world needs great humor like you around. Keep on keepin' on!!!
For the record... Darrell Scott and Danny Thompson played at SMHD/BUELL Maryville. At the Shed... Next day, I was commissioned to lead a local ride... at +- 50 MPH.
Mission completed, all went well. I held back at 50-60 MPH... BORED but on the job.
... so, my sis' Bday was Friday. We sent her a package, and... THIS card. Yay me!!! I HAD to go back and buy two more- one for my stepfather, and another for one of our closest friends.
