The verse where Jesus is called a carpenter was posted, but you refute the bible. Genesis 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. That's where God said that he would be the God of what would become the Jews. Which is also a bloodline (seed, in the verse). Remember, you called me a Jew because I may possibly be 1 trillionth Jewish by blood, you posted a video about it. But I anticipate you'll argue that, because you seem pretty hell-bent on disavowing everything that is Jewish. You also know that mary was most likely a Jew although the bible doesn't say it. But you seem to hate the idea that Mary was a Jew, or that Jesus was a Jew. SMH. What you’re asserting as Jewish law was simply secular law at the time in the land in which Jews lived. The law relates to marriage by intercourse. A law Judaism opposed. I learned enough of "my" style of meditation to teach very basic stuff and some higher level, but not enough to safely teach higher levels or make informed judgments on the differences. Patches, your arguments are straw men. Straw Jews, as it were. Your argument that the Jews went astray, therefore Jesus and Mary weren't Jews, is nonsense. The Jews definitely went astray, that's kinda a major point in the big picture. The Jews are just like us. Just like me, just like you. We're all stray sheep, and we can't keep the covenant, that's why we need Jesus's grace, brother. Moreover, the Messiah had to be a Jew to really fulfill the prophecies and bring history and the promised future full-circle. Also, saying that occult jewish teachings aren't what Jesus taught, is the exact same as quoting Joseph Smith or the Pope or Barack Obama, and then asserting that they represent Christianity, and Jesus is therefore not a Christian. Your beliefs and "teachings" are full of occult influences that are not Bible. I myself fell victim to some occult influence a couple years ago, I hope you find your way out of it as I did. The word of God stands on it's own legs and does not need your help. It doesn't need anyone's help, you can just read it and trust what it says. Bring a blanket to sit on, and food. The chaos in the parking field at the end of the show is entertainment of it's own. We had parked near the far end of the parking field, and we just went back to my van, climbed in the back, and...slept until the field was empty, and no one was left. Literally thousands of people feeding onto one road, and 90% heading south towards the Thruway, it backs up for miles at the Thruway entrance too. It's outside a sleepy medium sized town that has the annual slug of money & crowding from the pageant. They have mixed feelings about the crowds and the influx of cash, mostly from the Cast. Mormons are thrifty, and the tourists not big spenders. Generally mildly hostile. In contrast the Pennsic War in PA is a week long event, with another week of setup for the hard core. Million$ flow into the local towns, and they love it, generally. No one blinks an eye at ladies in Elizabethan dress at the supermarket. Overheard at a liquor store, a local asked the shopkeeper about the crowd of "funny dressed" people, and wasn't he worried about them... He responded that the crime rate dropped in town when we showed up, since no one in his right mind wants to mess with Vikings and Mongols. | ||
