I had someone at work today tell me he knows the Democrat candidate for State Rep today. He told me that he actually asked him if he believed the crap he's pushing. The guy told him NO. So if they don't even buy into their own BS, why keep pushing it? Just to not agree? How do you stop this insanity?

You can't, it's only gonna get worse. Look at yahoo and MSN news feeds. Look at 90% of what's on tv. All pro Democrat and anti Trump/Republican. People buy into the BS because they are indoctrinated in it 24-7.

Gonna be a messy civil war...

It's a long video, but I found it being told to start watching about an hour into it. I haven't seen the first hour, but that last 20 minutes is about exactly what I mention in my previous post. The Democrat leaders know they are full of shit, and simply don't care as long as people will vote for them. They are more than happy to destroy the lives of millions, just as long as they can win the next election. Hitting the link stars the video at about the 1 hour mark.

At one time I was off work for a couple of years after a back injury. I was bored to tears, got accepted into a Workers Comp college program. At this time I got called for jury duty twice. I wanted to go but because I could not sit for more than ten minutes at a time they would not let me go. I got pissed about it and called my WC case manager to complain about their bias towards the temporarily disabled. She thought I was nuts for wanting to go to jury duty.

I"ll be offering free rides to the polls tomorrow for Republicans, and to avoid strife, for Democrats on Wednesday.

What about people who vote for the best candidate for the job, regardless of their political party? I got my ballot picked out, and it is all over the chart.

Nothing wrong with that! As long as you do your duty and vote. I used to support one last remaining democrat and he was a state senator. Great guy, old school blue dog democrat. A rating with NRA. He has finally retired so the democrat to replace him is far left so no more democrats in my near future.

I live in the peoples republic of Illinois so I get to vote early and often!!

Just make sure you dig deep, Frank. Public profile and policy can (and often does) vary wildly from real actions once elected.

On both sides of the aisle.

And the thing to be careful of here is, D votes (even if the best candidate for that particular position) can open doors for D wins based on consensus and seats-held. And THAT can open the door for batshit-crazy on a higher level. Weigh your options - could a slightly/barely less-qualified R candidate prevent a larger evil based on seat count?

Your NY Dems are even more batshit-crazy than my MD Dems, buddy...we gotta watch ourselves...just look big-picture.

I admit, I had it muted because I was on the phone with my mother... : )

But, Tucker Carlson had a banner across the bottom of his screen:

...need we say more about the Democrats...?

I'll say this a second time here because it needs to be said.

I voted yesterday, early with my neighbor I am POA for, and we voted a straight Republican ticket. To the county level.
We didn't cast a vote for two positions at the local level that didn't list party affiliation.

The Democrats have gone batshit crazy, vote them all out.

The House Popular Vote.

A new imaginary reason to complain.

Trying to capitalize on Democrat controlled education, by making ignorant people think that losing an election isn't legitimate, by invoking the Hillary won the Popular vote meme.

No lie too big, no lie too small.

Typical quota mentality.

Not good enough to make the cut? Change the rules to skew in your favor.

Can't pass a test? Make the tests easier (oh, and put out a nice loud cry of "racism" as the excuse for moving the goalposts).

God forbid we aspire to actually become BETTER. Nah. Just lower the bar until we revert to the slimy ooze that first crawled out of the sea a few billion years ago.

BTW, Pot legalization is on the ballot here in MI. I got up this morning and flipped on the local news. Not surprisingly it was filled with political adds. The ONE that stood out to me was Denver's Mayor (might have been ex-Mayor) talking about what happened in CO. In a nutshell... Vote against it. It was based on a variety of crime and traffic statistics. Very good add!

Voted last week. May be missing the point by only voting once. Will spend the rest of the day doing ANYTHING other than watching the news. Am fed right up to here with politics.
Or, more correctly, political reporting.

Thank goodness for a reasonably varied DVD collection . . . .

Getting ready to head to the polls now. I'm going to vote for the candidate who promised to fight for me and fix the roads. Oh wait, that was everyone. I guess I'll go by the old saw that a crooked republican could never steal as much money as a well meaning democrat can give away.

Just got back from voting. It was tough work and I'm worn out. A friend just called and wants to try some special beer from Germany. Supposed to knock my socks off. Gee, with the workout I just had a beer sounds pretty good!

Here's a prediction... And it happens all the time in the very liberal voting precincts of the big cities... There will be polling places that have to stay open late because of the long lines at the end of the polling day.

Why does this happen with such regularity? I have some thoughts on that. Ever notice that they always talk about the buses that take minorities to the polling places? Do you believe that the bus load of people really are picked up at home, taken to vote, then dropped at home again? Far more likely they are picked up and bused from polling place to polling place. At the end if the night, the pile into a polling place just before the voting is supposed to close, but they have to let them in line, and be allowed to vote. This would be fine if they were only going to their polling place, but I have some serious doubts about that. First, I have to question why these same polling places always seem to have this happen... Every single election. I used to have doubts about this scheme though, because how would would they just walk in and get a ballot? Well, I've learned a few things in recent years. The lists of registered voters is available to the political parties, and it helps them target campaign materials, etc. No problem there, but it's important. The real eye opener for me, was when I moved out of IL, and into MI. I know MI has informed IL that I've moved. IL has confirmed this knowledge. What IL won't do is remove me from the voter registration rolls. They tell me I have to come in personally, and ironically, need my ID to remove my name from the IL voter registration. Of course, I'm not really going to drive 6 hours each way to do this, so they refuse to remove my name, while freely acknowledging that they know I've moved out of state. Insanity, I know, but it's also reality. So the state knows I'm registered, but have moved. The state makes this information available to both political parties. Now just imagine a political party who was willing to load a bus with people to go from polling place to polling place. Imagine if they had a list of known registered voters who can not vote at that polling place any longer. Just hand them a piece of paper with a name to give to the poll worker. They aren't allowed to challenge who you are, by asking for an ID. They don't need an address, a phone number, a DOB, or even the gender. All they need is a valid name of someone who is known to not be voting there any longer. It's not really rocket science to identify dead people on that list either. Don't believe this stuff happens? Why do you think they fight so strongly against voter ID laws? As long as they can't be asked for an ID, you can never prove that this happens. No proof, no crime. No ID requirement, no proof. Nice how that all works out.

The voting place was busy, but @1 pm no waiting. Steady stream coming in, in an exurban bedroom community.

I bought the Incredibles 2 DVD while shopping. Plan to ignore, not even turn on, tv. Until at least 11 pm.

Enjoy the Great Game.
