U.S. exports of coal used by power stations are set to hit a record this year on increased global demand for the nation’s high-energy-content fuel.

Steam-coal shipments will probably jump 58 percent to 58 million metric tons this year, according to Guillaume Perret, founder of Perret Associates Ltd., a London-based research company. He expects exports to reach 65 million tons by 2025.

President Donald Trump was elected partly on a platform of boosting the U.S. coal industry. U.S. production, including metallurgical coal used for steel production, advanced last year for the first time since 2013.

President Trump Meets and Surprises Jim Jordan in Ohio
CTH - Aug. 4, 2018

Representative Jim Jordan is the no-nonsense personification of the ‘git-r-done’ spirit that runs through the scruffy and beloved heart of MAGA. An authentic guiding spirit that cannot be faked, scripted or duplicated. Ya’ either have it…. or ya’ don’t; it’s that simple.

In another example for the keen political instincts of President Trump; he can tell from the automatic vibe that jumped in the air when he said the name “Jim Jordan”; the President calls Jordan to the stage…. and another authentic MAGA moment happens spontaneously.

Remember, Jim Jordan said in an interview just a few weeks ago that he had never met President Trump, and had never personally talked to him. However, when POTUS Trump senses the crowds response to the words “Jim Jordan” he immediately identifies the importance and value. WATCH the instinctual evolution:

https://youtu.be/CE1t0AhZl3g

This is why POTUS travel and MAGA events are so valuable. Prior to today…. prior to this exact moment…. by custom and political tradition -as well as input from the circle around the office- President Trump was likely to support Kevin McCarthy as a natural Speaker of the House predecessor.

Not any more.

McCarthy doesn’t inspire that response.

POTUS Trump was just introduced to the MAGA inspirational and aspirational value of Speaker Jordan. Remember this moment; it matters.

There is no better explanation of the rot inherent in socialism:

You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Rasmussen: Black approval rating of Trump now at 29%
By Thomas Lifson, American Thinker - Aug. 4, 2018

If this figure reported in Rasmussen's daily presidential tracking poll Friday is anywhere close to accurate, Democrats are closing in on a crisis. While poll results available to the general public reported on the Rasmussen Reports website do not contain the racial breakdown (Rasmussen pays its bills by selling detailed breakdowns of its polling results to political pros), so notable was the figure that Rasmussen tweeted out a notice:

quote:

Today’s @realDonaldTrump approval ratings among black voters: 29%

This time last year: 15%

Given the booming economy, many African-Americans are experiencing opportunities for employment the likes of which were completely unavailable during the eight years of [0bama]. Opportunity is calling, and many people of any race who previously despaired of bettering themselves through work are finding out that a rising tide does indeed lift all boats.

With approval nearing one-third of American blacks, it is no longer viable for Democrats to insist that Trump is such a vile racist that any favorable views of him should be censured by all right-thinking African-Americans.

The Democrats heavily depend on 90-plus-percent turnout and 90-plus-percent support for Democrats among African-Americans. If that level of support falls to 71%, the game is more or less over. Of course, support voiced to an automated poll in a phone call is different from pulling a lever to vote, but it is the start of a process that has another two years to play out before Trump's name faces voters again.

Trump's Lean White House 2018 Payroll On-Track To Save Taxpayers $22 Million
By Adam Andrzejewski - Forbes.com - Jun 29, 2018

President Trump’s White House payroll has 374 employees, that's 95 fewer staffers than Barack 0bama at the same point in their presidencies. The Trump White House workforce runs 20 percent leaner.

[snip]

Last year, [President Trump] employed 377 staffers and we applauded the president’s frugality in our editorial at Forbes.

This year, not only did the president maintain a lean staff, he cut the total payroll budget from $35.7 million (2017) to $35.2 million and further honed the books. In FY2015, Barack 0bama’s payroll was much larger and exceeded $40.9 million with 477 staffers.

[snip]

Trump’s White House payroll has been a leading indicator of his commitment to “do more, with less.” In the first few weeks of his presidency, Trump issued an order mandating an executive agency hiring freeze. Trump asked his agency heads to “seek efficient use of existing personnel and funds to improve public services…”

Leading by example, Trump has already saved taxpayers over $11 million, and projected four-year savings could easily top $22 million. The payroll discounts come from Trump’s refusal to take a salary, as well as big reductions in other areas including the absence of czars, expensive “fellows,” and spending on First Lady of The United States (FLOTUS) staff.

Here are some key findings:

- There are 95 fewer employees on the White House staff under Trump than under 0bama at this point in their respective presidencies. (In 2010, 0bama had 469 employees for $38.8 million – adjusting for inflation, the payroll cost more than $43 million.)

- $5.7 million in annual payroll savings compared to the 0bama 2015 payroll. In 2018, the Trump payroll amounts to $35.2 million for 374 employees. In 2015, the 0bama payroll amounted to $40.9 million for 476 employees, not adjusting for inflation.

- Ten staffers are dedicated to the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS). In 2009, First Lady Michelle 0bama paid her 24 staffers $1.6 million collectively.

[snip]

Our review of this year’s White House payroll confirms ten staffers dedicated to First Lady Melania Trump. Last year, FLOTUS had a five-person staff. Former First Lady Michelle 0bama was heavily criticized for her 24-member staff in 2009 including assistants, advisors, schedulers, directors, deputies, associates, social and press secretaries, and other "helpers."

[snip]

While on the campaign trail, President Trump vowed to forego his paycheck. Article II of the U.S. Constitution, however, mandates a presidential salary. Trump has donated his quarterly portions of his $400,000 salary to the Department of Interior, Department of Transportation, Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, and most recently the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The rest of the Trump family is also leading by example by foregoing their salaries. First Daughter and Presidential Advisor Ivanka Trump and Son-in-Law Senior Advisor Jared Kushner both refused a salary.

Although the White House personnel budget is an infinitesimal part of the $3.9 trillion federal budget, it is an important forecasting indicator showing Trump’s deep commitment to cut the size, scope and power of the federal government and reign in waste.

^ Dovetails nicely with this tidbit from Friday's July jobs report:

Overall, private employment gained 170,000 jobs, while government employment decreased 13,000 jobs, for a net gain of 156,000 new jobs.

Like I said...doubt it's a coincidence.

When you run businesses to make money, you learn to trim the fat.

DC has PLENTY of fat to be trimmed.

Next, we need to go after the lobbyists. Saw on the news last night, one Rep. has introduced a "go to DC to work" bill. Limits the lunches, and lobbyist courting, and speaking engagements, and makes them...oh, I dunno...WORK for the people who elected them.

If I understand this whole Omarosa thing correctly, she worked with Trump for years, but is defining him as racist, supposedly, by a single recording of him. Is that correct? I think I would personally, put more weight on the actions I have seen over a period of years. This sounds far more like searching for a reason to despise him. Is that about right?

Look at the racist surrounded by white supremacists.

The criteria for what constitutes racism is quite slanted these days. It's pretty much, reject socialism and/or be white.
