OK. Who's coming, when are you going to get there, where are you planning to stay and for how long?
I'll start: I'll be at Road America May 31-June 3 for MotoAmerica and watching Smoke's team race, arriving East Troy on Monday, June 4. I'm staying at the Quality Inn & Suites until June 8, when I'll head to Two Season's for a wonderful breakfast and from there heading back to Road America for the AHRMA race weekend.
Things I'm looking at doing while in the area (beside RA races): - Action Powersports has a Bike Night scheduled for Wednesday, June 6. - June 7 I plan to be at the factory (north parking lot) around 10 am to see everyone. We have approval to rendezvous there and hang out. - Road trip perhaps to Uke's to review their in-house museum. Lots of Buell history there. - Do I need to mention food at Gus's?
I plan on arriving on Wednesday the 6th. Country view campgrounds site 132. I'll head home Sat. or Sun.
Gus's after for grub Wed. Set up tent. Either a camp fire or Action Powersports in the evening.
Thursday; I'll be at the last factory in East Troy by 10:00 AM. We will not be trespassing. Please, be courteous to the tenants of the property that have granted us permission. I have never been to Uke's. Possible dinner at Roma's.
Friday morning: Two_seasons 7:00 am till 10:00 am for breakfast.
I plan on getting some campfire time and some Gus time chewing the fat and hanging with friends. Did anyone say shakes?
This thread will be monitored during HC. I will try to post a heads up to meet ups and opportunities that are available as events unfold. I hope we hit the diner in East Troy at some point.
I should be getting into town sometime in the afternoon on Sunday, June 3rd, staying in my childhood bed or at various friends places, and will be heading back South on Monday, June 11th.
As always I've got things outside of HOMEcoming to occupy my time until things get swinging. And when they get swinging, I expect to do as many of the following as is feasible: - Wed. Bike night sounds cool. I haven't been in Action Powersports new location yet. - Thurs. Stand in a parking lot, look at motorcycles and talk with their owners. - Thurs. Take in Gus's. Everyone seems to have their go to for flavor of shakes. Mine is Oreo. - Fri. Steve and Doris's fantastic Bueller Breakfast! - Sat. Rockerbox & vintage races at Elkhart. Still gotta get my cheapskate, early bird gets the discount, ticket... - Uke's museum is always cool. Hope it can be fit in. - Fire sounds cool. But only if used responsibly... - I'm sure there will be things that will surprise as well. It's typical of my adventures at Homecoming...
The XT-BOLT will be getting a new rear tire this weekend and should be ready to go!
Edited to add: Interesting to note that June 6th - the night of Action's bike night - will be the 23rd anniversary of me buying my 1995 Buell S2 Thunderbolt!
I’m over in Janesville and will be hosting a gathering for the AHRMA racers to crash on Thursday night...if you are interested in coming please come on by !
I realize that the group may already have a more preferred “garage night”, but maybe I could be the “after” party...

Homecoming weekend in and around East Troy, and Elkhart Lake (AHRMA/ ROCKERBOX) will be Thursday June 7th through Sunday June 10th, 2018
Update: I've slathered together a last-minute, EBR-approved deal for HC2018 t-shirts. When/if I have a proof for artwork, I'll post here. No pre-ordering, since I had to submit a quantity at this point to get them to be delivered by June 7. FWIW, the quantity I ordered compensates for you HC "regulars", plus some spares.
I head to RA this Thursday for MotoAmerica. I'll be hanging around the Broaster/Roadrace Factory hospitality area, and will probably be wearing logos for a particular Japanese manufacturer, with an EBR in the RA infield parking area!
