Dodge charger iirc. Not a small sports car. Anyone know if it's his or a rental?

Speculation on the alleged killer is all you get.

You're figuring a premeditated assault would involve a better choice of weapon?

I'm guessing panic rage.

I'm more interested in the neo-nazi organizer. I want more than a byline for evidence he's an Obama minion.

And I will bet that the fringe protesters are paid for by Soros. It's known the antifa communist thugs are.

Reichstag fire.

There's now pressure to demolish mountains in the quest to erase history. Just shows the Left is America's Taliban.

Hogwash, you are correct that there's been a century of propaganda to tarnish the history books and deligitimize the American experiment in a Republic.

And based on the tried and proven technique of a gram of truth in a ton of lies, the left has worked hard on trashing the past. After all even the best of us are human.

How many actual neo-nazis do you think there are in 300 million citizens? I bet you so few you couldn't fill a major college football stadium. Cash.

This is paid and organized.

The irony:

The country's infrastructure is falling apart, but let's spend money to remove ~125 year old monuments.

I did not know we had political discussions on this forum. I love politics! Anyone here in the northeast woke up this morning and you would think President Trump invited David Duke to Trump towers and he was wearing a KKK hood by listening to the media!
This very dangerous orchestrated riot was done for one reason, set up president Trump. Duke is gonna do what he does and Soros saw opportunity. The left has gotten away with silencing free speech way too many times and I find it very eye opening watching these cowardly republicans not standing with the president. While others are actively trying to take down the president! They want Pence in charge so their scumbag games can continue. That's my $.02 of today's news!

I have not characterized it as terrorism, only some sort of premeditated attack.

Well you did say "I think it is unclear what terrorist group he represents at this point". You seem to have skipped right past the question of IF he is a part of a terrorist group.

For what it's worth, it looks to be a Dodge Challenger. Clearly seen in this video...

Certainly not what I would choose to do such an attack if I were planning it. Better choice than a Smart car I suppose, but there are far better choices. If there's any truth in the report, that cites multiple witnesses that he did this after his car was hit by rocks, it's much better described as road rage. People are letting themselves get mislead by emotions on this. Still waiting for facts that support it was terrorism. I've seen none.

Now we have stuff like this happening. https://www.yahoo.com/news/north-carolina-woman-co nfronts-man-flying-nazi-flag-home-180615457.html The news actually seems supportive of what this woman did. She doesn't like the flag this guy is flying at his house. Complaining that he is flying the wrong flag in America. (A point I agree with BTW) Then she claims she flies a rainbow flag, as if that gives her some sort of moral authority. WRONG. The rainbow flag is no more "right" than the Nazi flag. Neither represent America beyond being a place that allows us the choice of what to fly. Clearly she doesn't want to allow this person that choice, so she had clearly missed what is great about our country. As she drives away she then claims to know where he works too. That is clearly a threat of further harassment, or worse. Neither of these people represent what I see as good American values. Our country has lost it's way.

Interesting perspective from one of the participants of the event. Try to ignore the fact that you almost certainly disagree with this persons views. The simple reality is that his views are protected by our laws. This was upheld in a Federal court after the event was initially canceled by a fascist government. That same fascist government officials then decided to again cancel the event at the last minute, a violation of their rights, and proceeded to force them out of a secured area into a violent melee. Again, try to read this with an open mind and then tell me, who has blood on their hands?

quote:

As an attendee of the Unite The Right rally and scheduled speaker, I have serious questions about the actions of Virginia police on Saturday. It appears that police created a dangerous situation which was entirely avoidable. I will explain in detail the facts of what happened.

One does not need to support any of the positions of the alt-right to be concerned about what this means about the state of free speech in America.

If I had a Challenger and someone threw rocks at it, I'd be pissed.

That doesnt give the guy the right to kill over it...but on the other hand, people shouldn't be tossing shit at cars in the first place. Or pulling down PUBLIC PROPERTY.

Slavery was bad, we all get that. But rewriting history to hide the evil pretty much guarantees we'll repeat it, because there's no past mistake to learn from.

You can't deny fact.

All you can do is learn from it, and try your best not to repeat the mistakes.

Part of the problem comes from our warm and fuzzy school curriculum. We don't teach stuff that makes kids "unhappy" or "uncomfortable" or "scared"...so they don't know any better when it comes to stuff like this. There's no perspective. No sense of history, or true right and wrong. Only passion of the moment, mainstream media bullshit, and political pressure from people with ulterior motives.

And it's going to get a lot of people killed before it's over.

The Charger is registered to the driver.

I used the label "premeditated" from a description by a witness in the crowd of the path of the driver immediately after the attack. It said after the initial hit the driver turned and struck the crowd again. I have NOT found confirmation of this since nor have I seen it in any video which there is a lot of. Charlottesville police chief also characterize attack as premeditated, but no specific details are given so it appears the premeditation may not proveable at this point.

Headline on CNN this morning breathlessly declares the presidency in collapse, and that he's having a moral crisis. This because Trump has the balls to tell the world that, though the Nazi's are assholes, the fascist 'anti fascists' on the left, who came armed with clubs, mace, and balloons of urine to a lawful demonstration in order to violently clash with those with whom they disagree, were partly to blame for the violence. Man, CNN sucks.

IMO, if this was premeditated, he would have rented a panel van or something much larger and not used his own car. That's just my thinking though.

I think one of two things happened ...

1) He was probably involved in an altercation at the rally and then, in anger, decided to do what he did.

or

2) He turned down the wrong street and was quickly surrounded by the Antifa folks who did or said something and out of anger or fear he reacted.

Probably #1 but I can see both scenarios. Just my opinion. No one really knows except for him. If I were him, I would get a really good lawyer really fast and start telling my side of the story because the MSM is going to roast him alive (they already have).

Hogwash looks like we'll have to wait for trial and still maybe never know.

Unfortunately the police in this case have no credibility. Both groups seem to agree the police had orders to make the protest a violent clash. The City and State leaders are exploiting the violence and both are provably lying. Obviously so.

I'm not going to bother correcting the folk calling the govt. Fascist. I'm pretty darn sure they don't know what fascism is and are just parrots for evil men.

This whole thing stinks on ice. Next we'll see Tony winning choreographers lining up the alleged Klan chorus line. "And swing and kick, curse and turn, dive like a soccer star! Come on ladies! You can cry better than that!"

I would say you do yourself a disservice using that term based on that. As far as I know, there is no way for a witness of that car to know the prior mental state of the driver. I would agree that it appears to be a deliberate act. It would probably have been a better word for the witness to use. Premeditation has to do with his thoughts prior to this happening. Is anything known about that at this time? I don't know of anything.

Those who are looking for a "right" side of a clash of multiple hate groups really need to examine their lives.

Its not improbable that the guy panicked. It's not so obvious like taking up a sniper post and shooting cops (Dallas) or congressmen and their staff at a baseball park. I didn't see the licensed protesters starting fires or vandalising storefronts.

What a shame for the Left and their media cohorts that they cannot also demonize guns and smear the entire Trump voting block with an even broader brush.

The media's hyperventilation and biased perspective is only fanning the flames, but this is EXACTLY what the LEFT desires. Don't fall for it. This is the culmination of the words and policies of the Obama regime.

Bishop of what seems to be the church of the KGB wants Washington's statue removed................

See also liberation theology, Bulgarian secret police, and a century of exploitation of racism. Also see Vietnam war movement connections with Soviet agents and the Weather Underground.

You'd easily believe this entire news cycle was dystopian science fiction of some horrible post apocalypse world. A President sponsored by anarcho-communist mass murdering Infiltrators. Endorsed by the Communist Party U.S.A.. His corrupt minion running to succeed him also endorsed by the Communist Party. Former Nazi informant who became billionaire by crashing the Ruble and the Pound, created and funds multiple propaganda machines and funds communist protesters rioting in multiple cities. Party bosses organize assaults on rival party's members.

When election lost, claims of illegitimate election. Utter denials of Election fraud. ( in the same breath ) Vows of revolution. Death threats and attempted mass murder of opposition party congressmen. Refusal to cooperate with law enforcement and lawsuits to demand funds for law enforcement. Multiple funded riots in multiple cities with police ordered by Party members to stand down and allow riots, assaults, looting and arson. News of Party crimes suppressed by Party Media...........

At this point we could be looking at a historical movie about Eastern Europe. .....

But if you throw in a game show host elected president you'd never get the movie funded. Way too kooky comedy to match the rest of the script.

Terry McAuliffe is a lying SOB.

Police Contradict Terry McAuliffe’s Claim That Charlottesville Protesters Had Weapons ‘Stashed Around the City’

He was also complaining that 80% of the protesters were armed. I've got to say, if that 80% number is remotely close to the truth, it speaks volumes about the restraint of them as they were being confronted with a mob scene of people wearing body armor and swinging clubs on one side, and the police pushing them into the mob on the other side. They were literally trapped with no retreat, yet no shots fired have been reported to my knowledge. As vile as these idiots may be, they appear to have pretty good judgement with regards to the use of guns in self defense. Probably not what McAuliffe and the Mayor in charge of the police though would happen. I imagine they were expecting a blood bath that they could make some real political hay with.

If we protest, we are branded racists and many careers can be on the line. If we let the run wild, America will be void of any history. This will never stop! It will always be something!

You are right.

Remember, for the Left, this is a Religious war. As the Soviet's declared, There is No God. Take that as a baseline for human suffering and despair. Thus the fervor for a Paradise On Earth. The Holy State is the replacement for Jesus.

Hyper sensitive idiocy is alive and well.

http://jalopnik.com/dodge-deletes-roadkill-nights- posts-after-charlottesvil-1797895666

This is not that different than some moron defacing a 3000 year old Native American cave painting because he saw a swastika. ( a religious symbol predating Hitler by a few thousand years )

"Roadkill" in case you are not already a fan, is an internet video program where the former Editor of Hot Rod Magazine etc. and a few friends take old cars out of junk yards or found on Craigslist, and fix them up. Often on the spot, in far too short a time, then drive them sometimes across country to race them. There have been other crazy ideas, in one episode they bought a Lowrider and then took it to the desert to go off roading. ( Yes, they wrecked it ) Or took a '50 Ford F6 dump truck with no bed out of a wrecking yard, then shortened it radically, installed a blown big block chevy engine in back, facing backwards, with a boat V-drive, and made a wheelstanding monster out of it... with only slight permanent spinal damage.

In other words, it's a comedy of errors with people fixing old cars by the side of the road, and excess horsepower.

The Roadkill Nights race is a completely legal street race where they close off a part of Woodward Ave. in Detroit ( the traditional home/Mecca of Street Racing ) and have a Drag race/cars show/party that attracts people from all over the world ( Literally ) and probably dumps several million dollars on the desperately poor city of Detroit.

No politics at all. ( except lobbying the local government to hold the race )

Just had the "if I could go back in time" speculation discussion the other day.

Hitler? Poor choice.

In "The Goliath Stone" by Niven and Harrington, a small group of folk are having the same discussion.

I quote from the Novel.

"“Zurich, 1916 ,” Mycroft said at once. “Frame Lenin for bank robbery. He never gets out, the Russian Army doesn’t have its supply lines sabotaged , Kerensky’s Republic isn’t overthrown and doesn’t surrender, the War is prosecuted until Germany is crushed, Wilson is dead of another stroke by then and can’t taint the treaty, the German Empire is broken back up into multiple states, von Ludendorff goes off to write ponderous memoirs and never founds the National Socialists, Adolf Hitler ends up in used cars or real estate or something that makes use of his one talent, the German banking system is never unified enough to collapse in 1927, the Bubble of 1929 isn’t as severe and leaves the U.S. better off than the rest of the world, Charles Curtis is elected in 1932 and cuts taxes, the physicists of Europe come to the U.S. and the first reactor is built around 1936 , no Holocaust, no Cold War, and no free guns given to millions of maniacs in the Middle East because nobody needs the oil that bad. Mind you, China would Balkanize after Sun-Yat-Sen’s dictatorship failed for lack of Russian support, and the neofeudalists in Japan would be grabbing off chunks, which would lead to war between Japan and England, but I think I could deal with that as it arose......."

Niven, Larry; Harrington, Matthew Joseph (2013-06-25). The Goliath Stone (p. 246). Tom Doherty Associates. Kindle Edition.

I find that one hard to beat. Not Impossible.
