Cyclonedon-- Up until a few years ago, I'd have agreed, but bought a Victory Cross Country Tour to replace my 110K mile ElectraGlide. Better power out of the box, a real suspension, and a lot more room to move around on. But, since Polaris has pulled the plug on 'em, I'll probably be going back to H-D. Only 71K miles on it so far, though, so I've got a couple of years.

K12pilot... The HP2 Sport could be your's. I think you should "collect the whole set" of HP2's ! When I was looking at HP2's, the seat height of the Enduro was just way too high for me... it's like 36" right? From there I went looking for an HP2 Megamoto but couldn't find one but the Sport managed to catch my eye. Nothing I've ever ridden can stop as hard as the HP2 Sport. |

I placed my order for a Motus MSTR in Desert Bronze. I'll fly to Birmingham in early May to pick it up and ride it home. No fooling. |

If you're going to get the HP4 you'd better make damn sure you have a good dealership that will support warranty work or you'll be stuck with a very expensive lawn ornament. I had several warranty issues on my S1K none of which the two local dealers would honor. They didn't even do the recall at my final warranty service and I didn't learn of it until after the warranty was expired. They refused to cover it after the fact. I called BMW and got lots of sympathy and promises of reprisal for the dealers but nothing else. The work came out of my pocket in the end. It cost BMW a sale as I had intended to buy a new S1000XR, but I'll never buy another BMW now. |

Still have the S1. This one is a little less exciting but jumps better. 20160508_184807 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr |

American bikes are over rated, unreliable and expensive by comparison. If you were in a battle with swords, American metal swords would be made of recycled sardine cans. Japan makes samurai swords. They have secrets unavailable to dumbfucks. |

My next bike will be an EBR 1190 SX. Ask the people who saw my face after Froggy let me take his bike out this past Saturday. |

^ I'm still on the fence a bit about my next bike. We're about 95% moved into our "new" house, but this last 5% is a bitch. Once the move is complete and this house is sold, THEN I can start shopping seriously. One interesting thing I noticed last month, the sale of EBR surplus parts and production machinery that was announced by LAP back in January did NOT happen last month as promised. FB posts intimate it has been postponed, so hopefully that's a very good thing. #EBRnotdeadyet |

Japan makes samurai swords. And Americans build B-29s. |

And Japan builds most their goods using software from . . . you guessed it . . AMERICA. Don't be fooled . . . there is a good reason that Australians prefer to spend their time, get their information and participate on American websites. Even us fat old Professors know that . . . . I'd also suggest you look for an Australian rock back, in fact any musician, not playing a Gibson, Fender or Steinway. . . . Just sayin' |

"If you were in a battle with swords, American metal swords would be made of recycled sardine cans." But with over 300 million privately owned guns, why would we even bother showing up with swords? I've been researching the reliability of Australian made motorcycles throughout the global marketplace, and I built an excel spreadsheet for documentation and for the formulas available. I don't know why, but for some reason- I just keep getting an error. Apparently you aren't allowed to divide 0 by 0. |

If Australia did build a bike, it would probably be bonkers cool, and I would drool all over myself getting to the dealer. Nothing wrong with (most) Aussies. |

Why on God's green earth do we allow this worthless contributor to continue to shit on everything on this site? Someone find just 1 of the 1500 or so posts where he has helped someone or contributed to this site in a positive manner. Just 1. Can we just get rid of him already? Put it up for a vote? |

That's a beautiful bike. I've always liked Featherbed frames. Not only is that bike beautiful, I bet it rides pretty sweetly as well. |

I suggested we get rid of him a while ago. It was met with "he's on medication, we should be tolerant". But I agree. Find one constructive post out of his 1,494 and show it to me. |

OK, so 0.013% of his posts are not spiteful or otherwise worthless...I stand corrected? Still doesn't really make him worth keeping around...IMO, anyway. If he learned to edit himself maybe...but I don't see that happening. (Message edited by ratbuell on April 03, 2017) |

Cheers Crusty, its taken 5 years in the making. Got some issues with oil leaks and I am tossing up weather to get rid of the 36mm Dellorto pumper carbs. Installed a 5 speed cluster in the old pre-unit 4 speed gearbox, the extra gear makes a huge difference on the highway. Right hand gear change reverse pattern (1 up, 4 down) takes a lot of thought when swapping from bikes (Buell, Harley & 750 Bonnie). Overall I am happy with the outcome. |

The guy came out and admitted he has mental problems. He's not totally unrepentant like some who have gone before him. I say let him be. Those helpful posts weren't even that long ago. You just never know when your tolerance might be preventing a suicide, or worse. |

If the site is that important to him, he should show it and its members the same respect you're asking us to show him. If he can identify and admit to mental problems, he can get a grip on them. I live with head injuries every day. Emotional issues, memory issues, cognitive issues. I'll have them till the day I die. But I don't hide behind them, expect special treatment because of them, or act like an "just because". If he's hanging out here just because we let him act like an , and nobody else lets him do that...well...my vote is, he needs to get his shit together and keep it together, or find somewhere else to go. Sympathy and tolerance only go so far, he's gotta take responsibility for himself. You do, I do, everyone else here does...he needs to as well. It's called "respect for others". He wants it? He needs to give it. |
