My ulysses tailbag has started to rip at the little pocket that mounts it to the sissybar.
Does anyone know a place that can repair heavy nylon like that?

Or perhaps I'm just overthinking it and should go to any taylor?
I seem to remember someone here posting contact info for a place that fixes stuff like that.

Find a local cobbler shop (shoe repair).

I have Buell luggage rebuilt by a cobbler from time to time. I've also had them fix things like the "el cheap" Ulysses under seat storage pack that the zipper breaks on the first use. I had a REAL zipper put in.

They will do a great job. I've got 2 new Ulysses tail bags . . . I like's that much and it's a more important piece of Buell history than many folks know . . . but my goal is to keep rebuilding the one I carry with me everyday until I completely trash it.

Hmm. I wonder if I take it to a cobbler, if they can enhance it with some fat leather.

Thanks for the tips.

Upholstery shops can do it too.

Another option is an Awning Shop.

If you cannot find anything local Penny at Specialty Outdoors may be able to help you. She has a lot of experience along these lines and I know has done work for Dakar riders.
