You haven't changed much .... I found one of Erik and I the other day where we looked like we were 12 years old. Taken at the first "Buell Owners Group" meeting ....... when there were about 15 Buells in the world. We've had the good fortune to live in amazing times. |

Crusty, good picture. I like what it says. To me it says, " If you don't like it, you can kiss my ASS!" |

35 rears ago, was 1982. That looks to be a '77 to 82 (?) lowrider, shovel... I had a very similar bike. Mine was 1977, and purple. Broke down a lot! I'll see if I can locate pics. |

Yep; it was a '78 FXE. I rode that bike from Spring of '81 until Fall of '85. Then I fell in love with the Liberty Edition XL 1100, so I traded it in. Mine was pretty reliable; it had over 72,000 miles on it when I let it go. I rode it from Massachusetts to Washington State via New Orleans in the summer of '81. It was a trip of nearly 11,000 miles and the biggest problem I had was a broken clutch cable in Lafayette, LA. One of these days, I ought to write a Snippet about that trip. It was a truly memorable ride. (Message edited by Crusty on March 04, 2017) |

What a great shot! I like the background too. It looks like you're sitting in front of a painting with the fog. |

So this is not nearly as good a picture but it's the only one I can find from that era. It's June of 79. I'm on the left on my 78 Yamaha SR500, my brother is on dad's SR500 and my dad and his mother are on my brothers XS750 triple which I later bought from him. Damn I miss my hair!

Ya'll a bunch of bad ass bikers! I looked back at some pictures from that era, can't get one to load at the moment. I was sporting hair like Crusty's but my beard was only half as long! The picture I found was me in my first dirt track race car toting the flag on my first feature win. I got to try to scan it again later. My bikes of that year were my first new vehicle purchase, a 1979 Honda CB 750 F supersport in black, in it's third year, an old ATC 90 that was hogged and ported beyond belief, I had recently sold my TT500 to buy a race car tow truck and a roll cage and other parts. |

How about 49 years ago!
This is what my dad bought me after selling his Indian chopper. I saw one in a museum in Kansas. That's just not right... |
