That's a pretty good deal I think I may actually pull the trigger on it this time around. I have been using old lab supplies milk crates, clipleads, duck tape, etc. It's gotten old |

Yeah, that's one wall wart I don't mind. I've had one connected, doing its thing, for over 11 years now. |

Thanks for the tip! I've had one for about 5 years that I keep on my Uly. I just ordered 2 more to cover my Honda Ascot and riding mower. |

Are these sufficient for tending a car battery? |

they only output 0.75 amps, so it would take a very long time to work on a large (car) battery I would think. I have a 1.5 amp similar charger at home that seems to be just barely enough for car battery. Many small (cycle) batteries are only supposed to be charged with low amp (<1amp) chargers. check out the larger battery tenders (or other brands) and look up the max charge amp if you want one for car batteries. |

I use one on my truck during periods of long sitting. Yea it can sometimes take a while for it to turn "green" if my battery was really run down, but it gets it done none the less. Normally it is full or near full with just an overnight charge. |

Good catch, just ordered one. Thanks Teeps, I owe you a beer! Took my Duracell 2/6/12A charger to Blairsville this past weekend- had to use it to wake the battery up enuf to make it home. Got a new battery ordered earlier today, with a new Tender I'll be set. I have an old one, metal case edition (OLD), and it seems to have crapped out on me. |

I've used them on my Miata during the winter. It might take a couple of days to top off, but it will. I stopped using them all winter, but just to top things off every few weeks or so. Had all bikes hooked up on a power strip that could be switched on for a day every now and then, the turned off again. Very easy, and no chance of overcharge damage. |
