The Chinese don't want Trump. Oh, Golly Gee; I guess I should keep their interests in mind when I head to the Polls in November. After all, they would never do anything to harm the US just to forward their interests, now would they?

There are many foreign sources with vested interests in the U.S. There's plenty of "charitable" donations to the Clinton Foundation and numerous dubious international deals that have occurred in the past eight years plus.

That all these people involved are in a tizzy is a good sign I think.

Stop calling me a hater, Blake. I will not tolerate that.

Cruz is a liar and a saboteur. And a narcissist. During the debates, Cruz promised to support the Republican nominee, even if it was Trump. Last night, he knowingly sabotaged Mike Pence's speech so that all that people are talking about today is Ted Cruz, not Mike. Mike Pence gave a beautiful speech with a sound Conservative message. Cruz is trying to make Trump lose so that Cruz can run in 2020. Cruz has been revealed to be a petulant, petty child. I liked Cruz but nevermore. The people of Texas can continue to re-elect him. I have no problem with that but Cruz is completely unfit for national service.

I listened to Phil Robinson today on Varney and he gets it. Phil was an avid Cruz supporter but understands that Trump is the candidate who received an historical number of votes during the primary. Phil correctly supports Trump.

If feeling were so hurt, then why did Marco Rubio endorse Trump last night? My respect for Marco increased. He is too young and inexperienced to be President at this time but he can grow. Cruz is stunted and unable to grow nor lead.

Trump won. Cruz lost and is now attempting to sabotage Trump.

Cruz/Kasich/Bush/Romney are sickening and my wish is to never hear from them again.

There were fistfights on the floor of the 1976 convention. Then Ronald Reagan stood up and graciously supported Ford. Cruz ain't no Ronald Reagan.

Thanks for the insults. If you support what Cruz did, then say so. If you support Hillary, say so.

When someone says "Move on man. Let it be" that is a shallow way of saying shut up.

Cruz dishonored himself and the Republican Party last night. He lied and permanently disgraced himself. This is how teams lose.

Rein!!! I know your no where near a liberal!! I just point what I have been seeing lately is all. All over the net... people should be focusing on Hillary... not Ted,... if Ted is such a loser and his political career is so OVER... then who gives a rats ass about what he says either way? I and many others who wanted Ted Cruz,... will still vote for the nominee no matter what. His endorsement of Trump doesn't matter (not to me) "I don't even endorse Trump..." but I will still vote for him. I respect that Ted stood his ground and didn't roll over like others did.

Didn't Trump want to "change the rules" of the nominee selection process at one point during the campaign??

No way Hillary gonna win election. I hear the Desk in oval office is gonna be purchased by Hustler magazine. Is that true?

The Republican Party doesn't need any help dishonoring itself.

They're doing a fine job of it with or without Cruz.

We had a lot of candidates.

Trump could still have a stroke before November or January. Cracks me up.

I wonder what big stars will be appearing at Dem convention?? I bet it has a cazillion more bells and whistles than the Republicans did. Probably be like.. some super star studded extravaganza .... with real famous people .....

Remember the morning after Melania speech...how many times the plagiarism was brought up? If Dems do it we will hear nothing but silence from media. That said... Tonights Trump speech should be a dandy.... I hope he does well.

I keep a lot of Democrat friends on Facebook, and am subject to a lot of what they post.

I can't believe how much they "just don't get it".

They keep putting out attack pieces on Trump.

Most are ridiculous hyperbole, which is mistake number 1. To make a frog seem palatable, first tell me I have to eat a 50 pounds of manure, then later offer me the frog instead. So that plays into Trump's hands.

The next batch are attacks rooted in how they think the world is, which of course not how the world actually is. So even if they are right about Trump being wrong, the structure and bias baked into their question makes it clear that they are also just as wrong. So no win for them there, I just sit there and continue to be amazed and frustrated both partisan extremes are. Which ends up making you lean conservative, as if stupid is inevitable in government, about all you can do is have less government wherever possible.

Then you get to the smaller number of legitimate concerns. Which would work, except all of them pale in comparison to the reality of Hillary's history. We are faced with the terrifying intersection of perhaps the most corrupt possible president in history who is also at the same time also the least controlled by the judicial branch and media.

I heard some media wonk say "Kasich didn't support Trump, so Trump lost Ohio". No doubt some east coast or west coast clueless elitist liberal. I'm from Ohio, and I voted for Kasich in the primary (not because I liked him, because I disliked him least). I could care less who he does or doesn't endorse, it's not like any of us were Kasich fanboys.

Part of the population wants Trump and will vote for Trump, mainly because they are pissed and and ignored for a LONG time. They are right to be mad, even if they aren't right about the problems or solution. But anyway, you aren't changing their mind.

The rest of us will vote for Trump because, while he is probably nearly as bad as Hillary, we at least think he will be held accountable by the media, which will lead to him also being generally accountable to the rule of law.

You aren't changing our mind by telling us how much you hate Trump. We don't really like him either. That's not why we would vote for him.

You need to change our mind by telling us how bad Clinton isn't. And good luck with that, she has had her middle finger up at us and the rule of law for about 20 years now.

Perhaps I have too harsh to my Badweb Bretheren and Sisteren. If so, I apologize.

I, too, have reservations about Trump but this is a chess match and one has to look at near term tactics and far term strategy to win. Like it or not, if one possesses any Conservative values, then Trump is to be supported. It is risky because he might be another yucky politician. (I've always wanted to use yucky in a sentence).

The Trump children really seem to be squared away and that is a tell for the Donald. I support him. You already know the rest of my spiel.

Badweb is the best.

It can get tiring, but we've got months of this to go, so repeating myself...

Don't like Donald. Never did, maybe never will.

Hillary has promised to erase our rights and send jack booted thugs to our homes to take our property, against our will, and against the Constitution. She doesn't quite phrase it that way, but almost when she assures her loyal drones that she will take your guns. That she will make YOU pay for your sins. That she will import enough illegal immigrants to make sure Republicans never win again.

The IMPORTANT thing is If Hillary takes the election, Congress and the Press will let her take your rights, let her take your property, and the Press will cheer when her minions kill you at a roadblock.

If Donald wins the election fair & square, Congress will try to thwart him at every turn won't let him abuse executive power like Barry, and moderate any oddball ideas he has.

The Press won't let him get away with ANYTHING.

Unlike Barry who can blatantly break the law, re-write it on his whim, and spend money he's not allowed to... by the Billions.

So even if you honestly believe that Hillary & Donald are both so evil there's nothing to choose between them, the END result will be completely different.

Donald will be an amusing example of democracy's foibles.

Hillary will have your door kicked in.

Aesquire, you've got it all wrong. She's going to buy all our guns and dispose of them properly. The 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to modern times, so you should welcome the generosity and well meaning policies.

Without guns in citizen hands American society will climb to the levels of our European cousins.

The government protects us just fine, thank you. Nobody needs a gun.

This will keep us safe. Look at all that potential evil, death, and destruction.

I sold a gun to the police once. It was non functional. I used the money to go buy a new one. I was not alone. News report of the event said something like 70% of the guns turned in were non functional. I believe it. I was in line with people holding guns that looked like they'd been in a house fire, and then left out in the rain for five years. But they said any gun, working or not. It was the last gun buyback the city of Federal Way Washington held.

I've been hoping to catch one local but they've smartened up a little, issuing gift cards to supermarkets instead of money.

I've got a free gun that would cost me $50 to fix that's worth about as much.

Watching this convention is our punishment . . . I am convinced . . . for not demanding better leaders.

I just watched some bubbled headed bleach blonde and now there's Mary somebody who sounds like Jed Clampett's sister.

I've been to high school pep rallies that were better organized and more interesting.

"issuing gift cards to supermarkets instead of money"

Same thing, really. Just take your grocery money and buy the gun, use the gift cards to buy groceries.

Mine was $100, half gas card, half cash. The gun was $99.95. Marlin 22 rifle, magazine fed. It was more than 20 years ago. I still have it.
