You guys do realize that you're dealing with someone who has a mental illness, don't you? He admitted it in another thread. Getting into an argument with someone who has real issues is kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. Then again, there are some folks on this forum who would delight in shooting fish in a barrel. | ||

As for Julie, that's just a fake login name belonging to somebody already among us who is afraid to say what he or she is really thinking for fear of being shunned by the rest of us.  Stop picking on Alfau. If you just can't, then please stop picking on Australia. Awesome place. They nearly speak American. Staunch allies in multiple wars, and despite some loony laws, one of the free places left. And we got plenty of screwy laws. A handle is reason enough for our mentally ill leaders to ban an object. The same object without a handle is fine? Australia actually has some intelligent politicians that can see, and speak the truth about Global Conning. Better and with more rationality than our few. And I appreciated the "whose side are we on?" cartoon. No one seems to have asked our dictator why he suddenly, one day, decided to be angry at the Vanity Fair worshiped Assad. I can guess, but I bet he'd lie. | ||

Sorry about your Viet Nam troubles Alf. But if you want to blame someone, blame the French. It was their colonialism that brought about the civil war in Viet Nam. America and Australia stepped in when they pulled out to help freedom loving people throw off the impending yoke of communism. And America didn't force anyone else to go. If you've got issues, talk to your own government, which got involved the same way we did. 'Advisers' first, then combat troops. I believe your nation sent in soldiers as early as 1965, and 'advisers' in '62. We didn't drag you into Viet Nam, that was all you. | ||

In a free society, if you fear guns or the right to own them...you don't buy one. Anti gunners are patently ignorant and stupid.      Our most vocal gun control proponents are among the most ignorant, hypocritical, selfish, self serving politicians in the nation. I don't think that's a coincidence.
