If it's within the power of the executive branch, and from what I've read, it sure sounds like it is, what's the problem? Not everything takes an act of congress. |

"He had nothing to do with his executive powers?" I misspoke. What I meant was, it wasn't his idea. This has been in the works for years. Had nothing to do with him. |

It's his choice of things to do. I guess it's as important as fund raising and golf. |

He was there to lecture us all on the perils of global warming. Standing in front of a melting glacier whilst doing that (they do that, even in the absence of warming) is apparently high on his list of things to do. It only took him a few minutes to announce the renaming. Let's be critical of the things that he's screwing up, not every little innocuous thing that he does. Nit picking reduces the credibility of the complaints about real issues. |

You're right. It's fine to fiddle while Rome burns. I see the VA is still doing a bang up job. I doubt BO mentioned the VA waiting lists while touring Mt McKinley. 900,000 vets have pending health care requests Instead let's look at a glacier that was in retreat long before we were pumping out CO2 in large quantities, and try to blame CO2 for the glaciers retreat. Pardon me for recognizing the insanity. |

No, why would he? Different subject. You know, unless he could tie the backlog at the VA to global warming...then he definitely would have. And all the news channels would be going on about how our wounded soldiers are causing global warming. And about how this all George W. Bush's fault. edit - missed a letter... Obama is not fiddling. He's running around with a torch. But come on...taking a few minutes to announce a rename? Besides, anything that keeps him distracted from his primary purpose is a good thing. |

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2015/01/21/the-revenge-o f-sarah-palin/ A biased editorial that glosses over a number of important issues, like how Saudi Arabian Princes are lowering the price of oil to try and keep Americans from drilling here. Still... the final line is so true. |

This is interesting: the states with failed Obamacare exchanges are trying to keep any federal grant money that they saved or managed to recoup from inept exchange website creators and the Feds don't appear to be trying to enforce returning the money to the Treasury. So, the Dems borrow billions for our kids and grandkids to repay and let the blue state governors get a nice little slush fund for their pet projects. Thank you Barry, Harry, Nancy, and all the voters who looked at the skin color of a candidate with no prior accomplishments! http://spectator.org/articles/64058/obamacare%E2%8 0%99s-blue-state-money-laundry |

Yeah, I though that was funny/sad/predictable. Just confirms what we already knew: It was awarded to him because he was "Obama" and for no other reason. |

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/423992/obami sm-correctable THE MIDDLE EAST The policy of “leading from behind” and the crudity of “We came, we saw, he [Qaddafi] died” have left a human tragedy in Libya. Backing the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt was an inexplicable choice, and it almost ruined the country. The United States did not need to hound and jail an innocent video maker in order to concoct a myth to cover up the culpable lax security in Benghazi. Yemen was strangely declared a model of our anti-terrorism efforts — just weeks before it ignited into another Somalia or Congo. ISIS was airily written off as a jayvee bunch as it spread beyond Syria and Iraq. There is little need to do a detailed comparison of Iraq now and Iraq in February 2009 (when it was soon to be the administration’s “greatest achievement,” a “stable” and “self-reliant” nation); the mess in between is attributable to Obama’s use of the aftermath of the Iraq War for pre-election positioning. Ordering Assad to flee while ignoring the violence in Syria and proclaiming a faux red line has now tragically led to a million refugees in Europe (and another 4 million in the neighborhood) and more than 200,000 dead. ..................... There is not much of an idea any longer of investigative journalism. The press for the last seven years has largely chosen to become a Ministry of Truth. One reason why Donald Trump soars is that, after the press’s canonization of Obama, the public relishes Trump’s contempt for the media — and the latter have now lost the moral credibility to critique any candidate on the grounds of dishonesty, hypocrisy, narcissism, mendacity, or polarization of the electorate. The tragic mess of 2009–2016 is ending, and soon the cleanup will begin — accompanied by stupefaction as to just how much will have to be thrown away. I fear that anticipating cleaning up the mess of Obamansim, ( A clever term, like Maoism, indicating The Cult Leader ruling outside any law ) is premature. Barry has over a year to destroy more countries, urge elected leaders to be deposed by Islamist terrorists & rapists, and allow ISIS to grow stronger. When ISIS first came to American attention, ( after the Youtube videos of torture murders ) One Division could have wiped them out, restored Iraq to peace, and bottled ISIS up in a Syria Barry The Weasel talks tough about, but dares not touch. ( It's Vladimir's ally after all ) Earlier this year, 2 divisions would have done the job. Today? 3? Tomorrow the Entire U.S. military under Obama ( lack of budget ) cuts will not be able to take Grenada. Much less Baghdad. Not because our troops are bad, but because they will not have been allowed to train, had their numbers cut both by lack of funds, and people quitting. If you are a Fighter, pilot or infantry, and you are not allowed to actually use the expensive equipment entrusted to your care, because the budget won't pay for the fuel, ( in a time where the Saudi's are making oil cheaper than in decades ) you are going to quit, because living in a barracks without training is nearly as boring as being in prison. And unlike what the Democrat Politicians raised on Leftist Propaganda say, our Soldiers are far more active in spirit than the Felons they are accused of being. Wait until Vladimir decides to cut oils supplies to Europe this winter while an additional million 20's aged Syrian & Iraqi Men invade and live on Social Programs while a very few ( thousands ) terrorize their new Homes. Edit... Then again, It could be I am completely wrong, and our fearless leaders have it all under control. It's just an election decade ( it's not even a freaking election year anymore ) and it's all hype. Kevin Bacon is shouting "all is well!", and he's right, it's all panic for votes. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/420802/failu re-change The Europeans are flummoxed. Why that is so is another Obama lesson. In just six years, Obama’s defense cuts, his recessional from world leadership, and his abdication of a strong presence in the volatile Middle East — in other words, a changed foreign policy reminds our EU and NATO allies to be careful of the change you wish for. Socialist pacifism in Europe was always predicated on the presence of America’s friendly free-market military muscularity. What the Europeans wanted was not change but the continuance of an America quite unlike themselves, willing to subsidize their indulgences and to serve as a scapegoat for their fits of envious venting. Instead, they got a president who is a fellow democratic socialist who likewise believes in reducing Western military power and influence. Now they are baffled if not terrified about their wishes for change coming true. By bringing this about, Obama reminds us that European anti-Americanism was mostly a psychological tic, arising from dependency and a sense of inferiority — and always predicated on strong U.S. military and political leadership contextualizing European angst. Obama, in truth, is not much interested in Europe, ancient or modern. For him, it is not the cradle of a singular Western civilization that brought consensual government, freedom, and rationalism into the world, but a once imperial and colonialist incubator of race, class, and gender oppression, quite dependent on the underappreciated discoveries and genius of the Islamic world. Why a bunch of privileged foreigners thought that their sophistication and traditions might win them exemption from an administration bent on exposing privilege and ensuring fairness is perplexing. In the eyes of the Obama administration, Europe is to the rest of the world what the 1 percent at home is to the 99 percent — a “you didn’t build that” elite in need of some Obama redistribution of power. |

http://www.infowars.com/obama-supporters-sign-peti tion-to-nuke-north-korea/ "It's crazy, but I'm for Obama, so I'm signing." I suppose they'd sign off on death camps for Global Warming Deniers just as rapidly. I remind people that Hitler didn't start off a mass murderer. Nor did Stalin. Bad for the US. I'm pretty sure it's bad for most of the world. Thanks BO for creating a power vacuum that spawned ISIS in the first place. Thanks BO again for creating a power vacuum by having no strategy to deal with ISIS. Obama has turned Putin into the world’s most powerful leader Remember when BO told Romney that the 80's had called wanting their foreign policy back? Who's looking like a fool now? |
