Picked up a 2007 Chevy Silverado 4x4 extended cab with 67,000 miles on the clock. Ohio Department of Natural Resources had it for the last 8 years and its in great shape. Thanks for all the pre purchase gum flapping Vern!

Time for wheels and tires! Remember, this isn't the Jeep. Make it sporty, but keep close to stock sizes! |

I think I'm gonna wear these tires out before I get new wheels and tires. Hitch leveling kit Maybe a sprayed in bed coating like Rhino lining. Needs a stereo... like now. I will be following the KISS program with this one.... I hope! |

Don't blame me! You mentioned it first! Those look cool. I always liked a five spoke wheel. Try 12" wide Crager Aluminum slotted wheels for the back and 10" on the front. The wheels of the '70's are making a come back. I can sit back and watch you spend money all day! |

For the stereo, check Amazon. Some very hot deals to be had. Or if you've already got a std single din unit lying about they have fitting kits. You can plug in your details; year, make, model, trim, etc to check what fits too. It's even cheaper if you get a unit with no cd player, & let's be honest who really uses one these days, USB or 3.5 jack input or Bluetooth is all you need. |

A couple of years ago I bought a really awesome tuner for my truck. Am Fm, CD, Xm, blue tooth, MP3, remote control, hands free, powerful built in amp.....all of that being high quality good stuff. Damned if it wasn't 1/4" too big to fit all or any of my semi elderly GM truck radio slots. Too big for the Corvette also. It is too heavy to mount in the dash of the motorhome so I have it velcro'd to the top of the dash where the wife knitted a matching color cover for it. I still didn't get one for any of the other trucks or the Vette. I hate buying and installing stereo equipment for the vehicles. Even with professional help I can never seem to get any of them to perform better than a nice factory unit. Best yet for me has been what came in my former '03 Denali Delco Bose unit, followed by a former Vette factory Delco Bose unit. |

Well hey.....opinions are like a-holes.....everyone has one. As things go though, my opinion always seems to be the right one! Oh how do I do that you ask? Black wheels hide their design artistry. A plain black wheel looks like a fancy black wheel from thirty feet. Might as well buy the cheep stamp steel wheels. The better half's Durango has fancy black wheels. Brake dust is NOT black, and it does not come off the black powder coat for crap. Did I ever tell you that I did not like black wheels? |

Nice rear bumper. I would like to replace mine. It made contact with something and removed some paint from both sides of the bed. Plus some of the plastic wont stay in place. Good choice in wheels too. I try to stay with wheels that are easy to clean. I had set of "turbine" back in the 80's. Looked great, BUT what a pain to clean! |

Do you have a lift on that or did you down size the tires... or both? |

You coming to the WV Buell Rally this year? I will bring them if you still need them then. What ever you want to donate to the firewood/beer/campground fund would be fine. |

It's a 3/4 diesel so it already sits a bit higher then yours, but yes there is a big leveling kit on it. The rims are 22's. The tires are a little shorter sidewall then I would like, but can't clear anything taller without more lift... can't fit the truck in my standard size garage door with more lift (only clears by a couple inches now) Plus they are very wide rims with a big offset so they are pretty deep. If I remember right the tread is about 14" wide... big steam rollers. |

Well it looks good! The wheels I purchased should move them out about a 1 3/4". I installed a leveling kit on the front a couple of weekends ago. I need to park it in the same place as the day I brought it home so I can tell the difference. I'm eyeballing a new black rear bumper.... maybe get Vern to two tone it... black on the bottom and leave it the stock color on top.... |

Bought a Bow Tie also but went a different route. No pun intended. After riding my 1125R for 8 years in these Utah canyons with a few select great sport riders I needed a cruiser so my wife and I could go together; she did not care for two up on the 1125. And already have a real nice Gimmy pickup and sport ute for her. SO, I found this nice '95 Camaro, pictured below, Z28 convertible with 68,000 original miles with all documentation and Carfacts printout for proof. A few nice extras but basically stock. Had to give near high book buts its been great. Fair Go power and will honestly get 28mpg cruising on the freeway. Now its sport ride the canyons or leisurely cruise with my wife, hanging out at cruise ins and a few outdoor concerts thrown in for good measure. Back to the future from the "good old days". Lovin' life. Bob

thanks! i was in need of tires for the stock rims i had, and stumbled across these brand new with a trip around the block on them. guy bought the rims, stuck them in the garage then saved up for a few months for tires... got the tires mounted, put them on the truck and tried to drive around the block. couldnt turn the corners... lol. got laid off and couldnt afford a lift... right place right time, i picked them up for WAY less then i could have even bought normal tires for my stock rims. Although i did end up buying a friends take off set of newer style wheels with brand new tires on them for winter anyway... i plan to body color the bumpers and grill one of these days. had planned to build some prerunner style bumpers. one big problem, i cant fit it inside the garage i keep it in currently if i do that lol. ugh. i also just did EFI-Live tuning with a DSP5 switch so i can tune it on the fly. 5 tunes, stock, +30 horse with turbo braking for towing, +60 econo tune, +100 and +150. as well as a 4" turbo back exhaust with no muffler. sounds good and gets with the program now(especially since the speed limiter is gone) spins those big meats through a handful of gears. it should though with over 500 did you get stockish size rims or? |

Yep, stayed with the 17's I hope to NOT get sucked into a lot of mods for this truck. Every damn thing I own that has wheels has been modified in some way. That includes the riding lawnmower.... Bob, the owners son of the place I work at has a late 80's/early 90's Camaro with a factory vette package. I have been here for over 18 years and I have never seen it run or move. Just sits there rotting away. I would love to get my hands on it! |

Mark, You sure make W.V. look good to me. I haven't attended last few years due to my work schedule and a lot of personal issues. I would like to take you up on that offer. I will do whatever I can to make it this year. Means I have a lot to do to put this together. Will be in touch. Thanks for giving me some incentive. SteveH |
