Remember when Neil Armstrong, when accosted by a moon landing conspiracy nut on the street, punched said nut in the face? Good times.

Before you spout off more nonsense, educate yourself.

I am a chip designer at Broadcom where virtually every job for the manufacture of profit demands an engineering degree and technical expertise. I have been in the fight for over thirty years and have seen a disturbing trend where there is a shortage of US born engineers. Why is this happening? An Engineering Degree and especially an advanced Engineering Degree, demands years of mind grinding work and commitment. I suspect this shortage is a result of our growing Liberal mindset where it is easier to study marketing or Liberal Arts. Many US born tend to take the easy road.

I work in an incredibly diverse workplace where a lot of engineers are H1B or Green Card holders. They are phenomenal people who have worked and struggled hard. I welcome working with them because too many American are plain lazy snowflakes. I see the resumes and there just aren't that many qualified US born engineers anymore. Our country has grown fat and lazy and spurred on by "victimhood" espoused by the Democrat Party. The great news is that many of these fantastic people dream of becoming US citizens and that makes me proud.

Court can probably chime in about the incredible students that he teaches at Columbia.

Patches, you really need to re-examine your Conspiracy mindset. It is way, way too easy to be a victim in a Land with unprecedented opportunity. Don't believe me?....ask Erik.

I thought Mechanical Engineering was easy because you could work with reality (well except for negative imaginary frequencies) instead of trying to figure out what Melville's or Dickens' hidden meaning was.

Tom sees engineers, I see truckers.

I've got a driver from Ghana, real nice guy. He fled from there, ended up in Italy and worked there as a busboy, waiter, line cook, etc...

He finally LEFT there because he couldn't stand the socialist crap system they have, and came to America.

I am proud to inform you all that just a few months ago, he became and American citizen.

He works his ass of for me, night and day. He understands hardship, appreciates opportunity, and thanks God every day for the life that he has... not in envy of any other man.

Why can't a US born person show me this?

I have yet to find a single applicant from Georgia who brings to the table anything close to what this guy does.

Court can.

As a Faculty member at the school where Fermi split the Atom in the basement (Reindog has been in the building and seen the classroom) there are times it makes you almost want to cry.

I've a small class this semester. I teach in and advanced degree program for students pursing a Master of Science Degree. MOST my students are foreign, including the son of the owner of Japan's largest construction company and one of the director's of CCA (China Construction in America).

As much as I hate to confess it . . . . there is a salient and visible distinction between those who put forth amazing efforts and those who figure that since they cut the mustard to get in that you owe them something.

I've drawn some attention by flunking 2 of them in the last 5 years. Stupid I can handle. Lazy pisses me off.

I'll spare you the tales and examples. But, if you are in the NYC area sometime and want to sit on on a class . . . . or tour an amazing campus (that had to suspend classes allow the Revolutionary War to be fought and that awarded the first M.D. degree in the United States . . .drop in . . take a sit and see for yourself.

I don't see why IBEW isn't doing more for the Employees. After all that is what the Employees pay Union Dews for.

I have been Training Non-Degreed Technicians and Bachelor of Science Degree Engineers to do Mechanical and Electronic Equipment Troubleshoot and Repair since 1988. Having a College Degree does not make you smart. To say Americans are not Smart or Skilled enough to do the work is MORNIC.

You are Right. We don't need Living Wages in America anymore just slave labor. Like in China. After all We have to Compete in a World Labor Market. In a NEW WORLD ORDER! Right.

>>>I don't see why IBEW isn't doing more for the Employees.

You'll need to explain that.

I've been an I.B.E.W. member for 48 years . . . my Father and Grandfather (one of the early organizers) were as well.

As you surely know the I.B.E.W. started unlike most the other American Unions, which tended to be modeled after the Guilds of Europe.

I'd suggest you look at the average earnings of the I.B.E.W. members here in NYC. Take a look at Local $53 in KCMO and Local #2 in St. Louis as well.

To say they are not making a "living wage" is . . .to quote you "MORNIC".

Living wage is a function of competition for labor.

How do you drive competition for labor?

Do you think the policies of the last 6 years have increased US industry demand for US labor or decreased it? The last 20 years?

Do you think the policies of the last 6 years have made the US market more attractive or less attractive to foreign corporations looking to hire US labor?

What affect does "living wage" legislation have on demand for labor? Increase demand or decrease demand?

What affect does "living wage" legislation have on the price of products? Increase prices or decrease prices?

What is the difference between nominal wage increases and effective wage increases?

Would you rather have a thousand dollars or a thousand pesos? What is the difference between dollars and pesos?

What you post is how others perceive you...MORNIC? C'mon, you can do better.

The bottom line is you are paid what you are worth. One can howl at the moon all they want but it won't change a single thing...not one iota. Not making enough? Get two jobs. Get three jobs. Get an education that is worth something. Work hard. Give more than you get. You'll be simply amazed at your accomplishments.

Put in simplest terms, some people want to run other people's lives. Others have no such desire.

The people we both don't care much for are the former, and they are far too often attracted to government.

So. Constitutional, limited government is better than letting bad people run your life. ( which is what always happens when government has no limits. Bad people exploit that )

Agreed?

Being more specific, no one wants no regulation on business. Government exists in large part to keep contracts. To keep your bank & stores from ripping you off, and make you pay for the stuff you buy.

Bad regulation is no good either, it fails to do any good and costs us money. Don't expect perfect laws, just hope for decent compromise.

The current government has done a bad job, since they have made lots of expensive new rules, that have not made your life better as promised. ( and a few that have. Gotta be honest )

More people are out of work year after year and living is more expensive. So current guys are doing a bad job.

So we need to fix or get rid of bad rules, and get some new guys in charge.

Yes, most of them will suck, too. So it goes.

>>>Living wage is a function of competition for labor.

I laughed the other day . . .one of my private consulting clients put a P.S. on an engagement letter "you are really expensive :-) " The good news is it followed "please be in our office on Monday to review documents"

The malaise and laziness demonstrated by our leaders over the last 6 years had made it like shooting fish in a barrel for folks who love what they do.

Oddly enough, I am grateful that the market helped crater my business.

I was able to completely retool into not only one but two different industries and am able to demand more for my time than I ever was before.

Makes me sad I "wasted" the previous 16 years not doing what I am doing.

So based on that mix of fact, fiction, and paranoid fantasy, which of the fine sociopathic tools of the illuminati do You like for the next President?

Sure they may be puppets of alien mind control, but which one will do us a better job of resisting the forces of Armageddon?

Btw I agree the Communists are responsible for the worst economic, ecological, and human misery events and direction..

Yes, the related Greenies have a fringe element that would really prefer that all those useless people die, leaving Earth to fuzzy critters.

Useless meaning people not as enlightened as they are. Those teeming masses of Africa & Asia & S. America, the peasants of Europe, not to mention the red neck fools here in N. America. . Denying the poor energy and jobs in their own lands makes the Greenie self righteous and supplies people like Bill Gates cheap labor.

Not sure about that Masonic connection to the space aliens, though.. No proof of that. What I mentioned above, however, is bragged about by the parties involved.

Like support for Hillary, Barack, & the Greenies by the Communist Party, USA.

Ummm.... Net Neutrality, good or bad or evil, is not operational at this time. Your argument is specious at best.

All free market economics is "trickle down".

Any other system is a form of socialism/communism.

Which Republican Presidential candidate do you believe advocates best for a socialist agenda?

I might have already posted this opinion but the best candidate will have governorship or military experience. Those are positions of accountability and require organizational capability. These are measurable qualities. A member of Congress typically lacks responsibilities except to themselves. Obama is one of the best examples. There are others.

"Trickle down" is a derogatory slogan coined by Statists. Capitalism is essentially the so called "trickle down" and is the best possible economic system amongst humans.

I will become a Socialist when the Robots do all the work but I need to step away from the bong for this statement.

red neck fools?

What else do you think Hillary Clinton considers you, me, everyone who didn't go to an ivy league school? and more important, adopt the Socialist Self Righteous Attitude?

Same with most of the people you love to hate in Congress & elsewhere. Nancy Pelosi thinks you are a sucker, and she can treat you like a child, Remember "you have to pass the bill to see what's in it". That's the kind of thing you tell children you don't care about, in adult terms it translates to, "screw you red neck suckers, I have contempt for all that are not my kind".

Jeb Bush prefers the energy and industry of Immigrants to you, and doesn't give a darn if they come here legal, like most of my ancestors, or illegally, just to live off your taxes, either way he gets cheap labor for his buddies, and you pay for it.

Statists, people who love big government, almost always consider you, me, the peasants, the Proles, the unwashed masses, as stupid and exploitable.

Since Obama got elected twice, even with massive vote fraud, that shows they have a point about how stupid their followers are, and they KNOW it, and think their own followers cattle and sheep.
