Now that's cool!
I recently sent my 20 year old Super Tool 200 in for repair. (the small screwdriver tip was broken, and all the pivot points had loosened up a lot). Since Leatherman doesn't make the Super Tool 200 any more, they sent me a brand new Super Tool 300. Their warranty and Customer Service is as good as Zippo Lighters was back when everybody smoked.

I've been looking for a cool, not too wacky expensive watch for some time now- THAT would be IT if it had a segment that tells time!

Oh well.

Well you could unbolt it and put a clockwork into it!

It does have that option.

Greg, I surfed around a bit and couldn't find it- I'm also guessing that adding that section would require losing one of the others. Unlike a regular metal link watchband, this won't allow for much adjustability.

But DANG aint it kewl!

I would get one, but I would need a screwdriver to adjust it to my size.

Squids,

Check near the end of the vid in the link Slaughter provided.

Your probably right about the missing link (pun intended). I couldn't decide which one I would leave out.

You're certainly right about the kewl factor.

There is a model with a killer watch on it and as mentioned, it requires you lose a couple of links. Must be a really good watch too, judging by the price.

They won't ship until May (I called)

Sheitt - there goes valentine's day for Sunny. She's a woman who'd have loved this.

I'd be more interested if it had a T27 torx.

If you're worried about missing links you could wait until the Leatherman belt comes out.

To add to my "not for me" statement earlier
-the links look quite large, so, depending on your wrist, it'll either be too large or too small. Im sure some it'll fit just great, but if your wrist is a little smaller then it'll be too loose, if your wrist is slightly larger then you either have to lose circulation to your hand (too tight) or put another link in and it'll be too large.

-I like the idea of having the items on me for use, but part of the reason I love LM is that its EASY to access. With this youre looking at taking it off and likely using a dime or something to remove a link to use it (Im sure it'll fold up to allow for use as a whole, but then youre trying to manage all of those links at once).

-Seriously $150?!
The watch version makes it more appealing, but not for ANOTHER 50 bucks (keeping in mind the earlier point about wrist size etc)

We'll see once it gets on shelves
I like that they are thinking outside of the box though!

It's funny about men's choice in women. That Leatherman was first suggested to me BY a woman (mechanic and motorcycle rider, co-worker) as a gift for Sunny. I LOVE WOMEN - especially women that come into a relationship with a tig welder, drill press, oxy-acetylene welder, tool box and 2 motorcycles. This is PERFECT jewelry.

Don't worry about cost because if it sells well, in less than a year the Chinese/Pakistani clones will be on the market.

I've had some sort of Leatherman tool on my belt since the mid '80s, and I've sent them back to Leatherman a few times for repairs. Usually pivots that are too loose or broken screwdriver blades. They always stood behind their product and repaired them at no cost to me, other than postage, even when the tool was obviously misused. They make a good product and stand by their warranty. This last time, they sent me a new updated version of the tool I sent in, since they no longer make the old model.
Why would anyone want a cheap knock of made of cheaper materials to sloppier specs by underpaid and downtrodden third world labor that has no warranty whatsoever?

They do say it's adjustable to a 1/4 inch. They also say the links are injection molded. I'm not sure that's good tool technology. Not much of a jewelry person anyway. I'll pass. Whatever floats your boat though.

I have to check. Injection molding - that's a no-go but die-cast, yes. Thought it was 300 series Stainless. Got a couple months to investigate.

Crusty you are absolutely RIGHT. I was "tongue-in-cheek" about cheap crap. I even refuse to buy and wear Levis any longer since it has been decades since they were domestic-sourced material and domestic manufacture. Same reason I wear Chippewa boots.

that is easy then. 300 series stainless investment cast or die injection is good high quality metal.
