Hopefully, the authorities will stay the course and uphold the rule of law despite those who are disgruntled by the outcomes. Whilst there are issues within the community which need to be addressed interfering with the process of the law is not the way to do it. | ||

Imagine the difference had he made serious plans and made it clear that looters and vandals would be shot on sight, and shown immediate fierce resolve to maintain order in the face of law-breakers. The rule of law means nothing these days. Surpassing it is political correctness. I'm disgusted beyond words. The evidence in this case was clear and obvious, but our media and their cohorts fanned the flames of violence. We need a nationwide demonstration against the corrupt media! Short tangent... FB1 and I were sharing an inside joke earlier this thread that I just realized could be taken the wrong way, and I wanted to clear it up for the historical record here on the open Internet. FB1 and I have, in discussions about the second amendment and the role of guns in society, pointed out that a gun like a Ruger 10/22 carbine is, 99.99999% of the time across the history of every cartridge ever fired by one, a fun tool for target shooting. The truth of it is that it is a recreational machine. And we have made reference to the fact that a 10/22 with a red dot sight, a box of 500 rounds of .22lr ammo, a box of saltines, and a nice safe hillside somewhere is a recipe for a pretty fun afternoon. You spread the saltines over the hillside, shoot them with the 10/22, they explode like little skeet when hit. The next rain dissolves anything birds and bugs didn't eat, and leaves the hillside nice and clean. No muss, no fuss, lots of fun. So when people fall into the logical trap of treating a gun as cause for violence, as opposed to a tool that can be used for good or for bad but that is nearly always (from any objective statistical measure) used for sporting purposes, we bring up the saltines. As saltines (and cans of cheap diet soda... less sticky cleanup) are the only things that need to worry when I have a 10/22 in my hand. That's the inside joke. I built on it by indicating that I am getting a .22 pellet rifle to play with, and it is in the exact same category. It may not be saltines this time, it may be targets with a pellet trap in the garage, but you get the idea. Anyway, in the context of this thread, I realized "saltines" could have been taken as a veiled reference to "crackers", which is a derogatory term for caucasians. And if you made that connection, it could imply to you that I have some kind of plan to shoot white people with a pellet gun. For the record, I promise I have no intention of plinking whitey with a pellet gun. I will likely use it to blow up some crackers though, the real kind, that come in a box from Kroger priced at about $1 per box of 400 "targets". Sigh. | ||

One could reasonably surmise what utlimately proved to be facts of this case within days of the shooting. This fiasco is the fault of the White House, the Justice Department (Holder and the CRS, in particular), and the mainstream media, all operating as one. This has happened before during 0bama's tenure, and will likely happen again. The FACTS do not matter to these people, the RESULTS do. Kinda describes 0bama's life, what we know of it, anyway, and most definitely describes his pResidency.
This is from the Brown family. With all due respect, Officers Wilson's life has been RUINED because of the actions of your child. This is your fault, and your child's fault, NOT Officer Wilson's fault.
