But not changing the default password is not one of the ones you should make. Geesh.

Kind of makes me wonder about the quality of the rest of the security built into the system. When you screw up on one of the most basic of details...

I'd thought I'd dodged the bullet. My catastrophic coverage medical insurance policy ($5,000 deductible, then 100% covered) had seen some upgrades over the past four years including psychiatric, psychological, female issues, and prescription copay before my deductible was met. Price increased by about 60%. I'm healthy, don't smoke, drink little.

On Monday I was just informed by letter that my personal medical insurance policy will be terminated as of December 31st, 2014, and that I'll need to sign up for a new one that complies with the federal law, aka "Obamacare."

I called my insurer at the number they provided; got a slick talking fellow who assured me that the new plans were even better and I could find out their price after November 15th. That would be after the upcoming national election. Coincidence? No fracking way! Progressive Democrats are dishonest schemers to their core.

I said they ought to tell me now what the new plans will cost, not wait until after the election. He said that they had to wait for the govt to tell them how much to charge.

I asked why they weren't honoring the president's promises that if we like our plan, we can keep out plan.

Loads of slick talk followed. I asked again, same question.

Then the story changed. Suddenly the plan wasn't being ended, just upgraded.

"I don't want an upgrade if it costs more; I'm thrilled with my current coverage" I said. Slick talker then explained that it was like the EPA and my car, where news standards for fuel economy are required, I replied, "but the EPA isn't forcing me to ditch my current vehicle and purchase a more expensive new one that I don't want."

More slick talking bullshit. Nothing but pure political operative lying mouthpiece for the croney capitalism that is Obamacare.

I'm ditching my current insurer, BCBSTX, and going with one of the well-rated national Christian self insuring coops.

It'll cost another hundred per month, but they are nothing but honest and simple.

I'm sure going to miss the ultra-simple $5,000 deductible then 100% coverage policy. Perfect for me! Catastrophic coverage only.

But no.

I don't feel free.

I keep telling my coworkers that it is just a matter of time before HR marches us into the auditorium and tell us what a great thing that they are discontinuing health insurance and we will be dumped into Obamacare.

He is decidedly not a Christian and Jesus is onto his scam. Weird for me to say this because I am not particularly religious.

Why not? God really does matter! He did energy, time and space too! : )

But seriously, better would be for Obama to repent so he can know truth. As it is, he's mired in sin and relying on defective reasoning. Same story as for all Marxists.

It doesn't make the mainstream news media, but there are at least two cases making headway against Obamacare.

One won a major victory last week: http://m.cnsnews.com/mrctv-blog/craig-bannister/ju dge-irs-obamacare-rule-arbitrary-capricious-and-ab use-discretion

The other is also heading towards the Supreme Court. It deals with states that don't have their own insurance exchanges. Obamacare explicitly applies only to states that offer their own state-run exchanges. Or so the complaint asserts.

Could those cases be the one-two punch we've been hoping for?

I just received notice that my "Cover Oregon" obamacare ins would need to be renewed soon. I casually thought to myself that I might be willing to seek a bit better package this year because last years was thrust upon me with no explanation as to the specific coverages, deductibles, etc and it pretty much sucks. Upon closer reading, I found a sentence that stated that if I wanted to continue my present coverage my premium would DOUBLE. WTH? Do they really think I would re-up a plan that doesn't cover crap for twice the price? I am aware that I do not have any legal choice but there are a couple of million others on my side already. As long as I have to volunteer to pay, I have a choice.

I got to keep my "same" policy, with three price increases so far...

"same" meaning deductibles for certain things went from $20 to $40... and the $40 deductibles went to $60.

If I go outside the plan with my "multi-choice" option, the $45 deductible is now $110.

But it's the same plan... only it doesn't cover my wife's recent surgery, the same one it covered about a year ago. Other than that it's the same, except for the waiting time for appointments going from an average of 2-3 days to almost a month.

I liked it, so I kept it... the same plan that is, the one that covers my biannual DOT physical. Just because I have to go a different clinic to get it, with a doctor I don't know, and pay $80 for it... well, it's still pretty much the same... and I sure do like it, so I'm going to keep it.

The doctor I liked, he went away, so I guess I'll keep this new one they said is my "primary care physician" now. Yeah, I'll probably keep him.

No doubt they are having second thoughts. That much seem clear. The big question is will they actually learn anything from this? They always seem to somehow think that they were right in theory, and next time it will work out better. Sounds like a mental disorder to me.

"They" in the sense you mean are unhappy Obama didn't make it work. Tell them that there are more unemployed Americans than in 2008, and they will call you a liar. Tell them the Obama White House knew that Obamacare would cost 2/3 of all Americans their health insurance, and you are lying to them.

They will tell you that we need to cut defense because over 75% of the budget is military. Tell them it's less than 1/3 and they WILL CALL YOU A LIAR. Show them the U.S. Government web page showing exactly that and they go autistic and won't talk to you about it any more, and if you push them, you start to worry about stroke or heart attack, since their blood pressure is obviously through the roof and they are screaming red faced with spittle flying some thing completely insane and unrelated like George Bush sucks Saudi King.... you get the idea.

In a couple of years there will be a medicare code for it.

Think of the 36-year-old Walmart employee here in Washington, D.C. who works 29 hours per week at the company's average wage of $12.73 per hour. She earns just about $19,000 annually if she works every week of the year.

Ohhh, the humanity of it all! If you're 36 and Walmart is the best job you can get, then it's time for some self examination. If, at that age, she managed to keep her driving record clean and has a car with valid insurance, then she can make double that and pay zero taxes as a contractor. This job is available NOW in almost any major city across America.

...if Walmart does offer her coverage, it becomes her only option. She doesn't qualify for federal help and the $7 plan disappears. Walmart's plan, meanwhile, is way more expensive. The average premium there works out to $111 per month.

Well... you get what you pay for. $111 a month is cheap as hell, I am now paying over $500 per month to cover myself and my wife.

Hmm.
Dems propose universal health care.
Businesses warn that costs will go up, and that they may be forced to drop coverage.
Dems pass the increasingly misnamed affordable care act, hoping that businesses will drop coverage, forcing people into exchanges, and ultimately replace private insurance with a government run single payer system.
Health care costs go up.
Businesses drop coverage.
ACA has been such a disaster that no one is seriously proposing that the government take over completely (at least, not in public).
People are left in the lurch.
Dems are angry that their delusions conflict with reality.

That about sum it up?

Its good news if you, as a human, think its a good thing that you can now no longer pay your own way, and are happy that others are obligated to support you under the threat of violence.

I understand people end up in bad situations, and I try not to judge or resent them for it. It happens, nobody is perfect, and there are a lot of really bad situations people end up stuck in, and once stuck, it kinda doesn't matter how they got there, they are mathematically stuck.

But there is something wrong with them if they are "happy" about the fact that they have lost the ability to make their own way, and that they are now a burden to someone else. Some combination of thankful and apologetic would seem to be the more appropriate response.

Remember when it was predicted by conservatives that BO care would cause businesses to drop their group health plans? Progressives said it wouldn't happen. Remember when it was predicted by conservatives that BO care would cause big employers to limit full time employees, and rely on more part time workers? Progressives said it wouldn't happen. Remember when it was predicted by conservatives that BO care would cause insurance premiums to skyrocket? Progressives said it wouldn't happen. Now that all the above has happened, they are trying to spin it like these are somehow good things.

Far better would be a strong jobs market where a capable worker could get a good paying full time job that offers group insurance at more affordable prices.

Didn't Frederica agree to stay away from these political threads because he doesn't play well with others?
