President Obama is a fantastic success By Wayne Allyn Root Published September 05, 2014 FoxNews.com Well, I guess it depends on your definition of success. I’ve argued for years now that my Columbia University classmate, Barack Obama, has a very different definition of "success" than patriotic Americans who love God, country, capitalism and American exceptionalism. I've argued for years that Obama wants to hurt, not help America. So let’s take a look at the wreckage and carnage from coast to coast…and across the globe under Obama's leadership. No one could possibly be trying to help America and produce results like this. It just isn't possible. Let's start with national security. Security experts are warning a terrorist attack on America soil appears imminent. Only days ago, the federal government put out a bulletin warning about that same threat. Great job, Obama. Where would the terrorists come from? Our Southern border with Mexico is wide open for anyone to walk across. Our border is under siege. Obama has no strategy to stop or even slow the invasion of America by either terrorists, or desperate poor masses expecting billions of dollars in welfare from cradle to grave. Just the cost of educating the new illegal immigrant children in this school year is over $700 million. America is already bankrupt and almost $18 trillion in debt. Where will the money come from? Great job, Obama. But our unsecured Southern border with Mexico could bring more than terrorism. Ebola is spiraling out of control. World health experts are quietly preparing for an Ebola pandemic infecting as many as 100,000. If it reaches America’s shores the resulting panic could overwhelm the health care system, shutdown commerce, close schools and result in transportation and supply interruptions. All it takes is one infected illegal immigrant crossing into America, after exposing hundreds of others in cramped unsanitary conditions during the border crossing. Great job, Obama. The situation in Ukraine just got much worse. Mr. Putin is thumbing his nose at his weak, feckless, golf-playing adversary Obama. There are over 20,000 Russian troops at the Ukranian border. NATO just proved with satellite imagery that Russia has physically entered Ukraine. The invasion has begun- a worst case scenario that could lead to World War III. Great job, Obama. Obama has created a rift between America and Israel for the first time in history. He has even put a hold on needed shipments of missiles to our friend and ally. Great job, Obama. But ISIS is the game-changer. ISIS is perhaps the biggest threat America has faced since Nazi Germany. And our president admits he has “no strategy” to combat this threat to our very existence. Great job, Obama. Then there’s the economy. Taxes are so high that companies are running away from America. Take just the latest example, Burger King. My CEO friends tell me virtually every billion-dollar company in America is plotting and planning the same escape. It’s a “jail break.” Everyone in corporate America wants out of Obama’s America. So do thousands, or perhaps soon tens of thousands, of high-income individuals. Last year an all-time record 3,000 Americans renounced their citizenship. As more corporations and wealthy citizens run for the door, who will be left to pay America’s taxes? Great job, Obama. Who will be left to pay our enormous world-record setting debt? The federal debt is up an unimaginable $7 trillion since Obama took office. Great job, Obama. Since Obama became president over 11 million working-age Americans have left the workforce. Twenty percent of U.S. families don’t have a single member who is employed. Under Obama the food stamp rolls have grown 75 times faster than the job rolls. A staggering one third of America is now on welfare. Great job, Obama. The citizens who actually still have a job aren’t faring too well either. U.S. jobs pay 23% less than in 2008. That’s an average of $47,000 versus $61,000. That’s $93 billion in lost wages. The net assets of the average American household are down by almost half since 2007. Small business is in crisis. For the first time in America’s history, more businesses fail each day than startup. Great job, Obama. There is no recovery. That’s just government propaganda. Home sales just plunged for the 10th month in a row. Retail sales are stuck in quicksand. ObamaCare has caused health insurance premiums to rise more since it started than in the eight previous years COMBINED. As a result of all this terrible news, should it come as a surprise that consumers are in a foul mood? The latest poll shows that Americans are “unhappy, worried and pessimistic.” That’s a bad combination. Great job, Obama. Add it up. Under Obama’s leadership, danger signals are flashing like the neon signs in Las Vegas. The middle class (i.e. consumers) is in shambles. America is at the precipice of disaster from sea to shining sea. And our enemies around the world have lost both respect and a healthy fear of America. The result is chaos and crisis across the globe. But congratulations are in order for President Obama. He promised “fundamental change” for America. We sure got what he promised. Even though I am a US citizen, speaking as an immigrant, I cannot believe the American people actually voted for Obama -- twice. My first US President -- as an adult -- was Raygun. All eight yrs of him out of my 10 yrs in the USAF. Then it was B41, Clinton, then B43. Before Raygun, I barely knew Carter so I could not make any credible personal judgement about him. Four US Presidents, three of them two-termers. Eight yrs under a President and a world teetering on the edge of another world war. For each President, regardless of whether I voted for him or not and I voted in every election, there was always a period of time passed in a Presidency that I am no longer surprise at his policies and/or his actions. In other words, Democrat or Republican, I would get used to that President. If there is an upcoming issue, domestic and foreign, I was not surprised by his responses. It is a rather unpleasant feeling for me that I am continually surprised by Obama. Just when I thought this man cannot be more uncaring about the country he governs over, he would do and say something that figuratively dropped my jaw. The man played golf and enjoyed his time with his friends after his mealymouthed expression of 'sympathy' towards the family of an American who was killed in a gory manner. Then he excused himself from the negative image by blaming the press and the scrutiny that the office inevitably garners. Is there any maturity in Barack Obama ? Six yrs and I am still looking at this President with interest, as in what is he going to do that will offends me. Past Presidents have their scandals and missteps. Raygun and Iran-Contra. B41 with his tax pledge. Clinton with his sex life. But eventually, each of them behaved predictably. Not with Barack Obama. I watch the news eagerly just to see what is he going to do/say next that will make me wonder if I really know this President, as much as any citizen can. I thought I have enough Presidents under my belt to know how to gauge Obama. But how can four Presidents be not enough ? I thought Clinton with his sexual scandals would set the limit on how far the American people will go. But just as Barack Obama surprise me even after six yrs, again speaking as an immigrant, you Americans with families that lived under far more Presidents than I have equally surprised me that enough of you voted for him twice. Obama may not have the necessary leadership experience to prepare him for the office, as much as anyone can be prepared for such an office in the first place, but how is it that so many of you either ignored or excused away the many un-Constitutional actions, naivete about other countries, and gross partisanship from him that four yrs is not enough to convince you that he is unsuitable to be President ? I will say it: Obama was elected solely on race. Not on experience or intelligence. But on race, as in white guilt. So what if he was a 'Constitutional lawyer' ? What outstanding scholarly and/or intellectually achievements does Obama have on his record as a 'Constitutional lawyer' ? The same question for his record as legislator, state and federal. No, Americans. You elected Barack Obama -- twice -- because of liberal white guilt. I know plenty of fellow Asian-Americans who got dragged in the current and voted for Obama but now have buyer's remorse -- in private and after a few drinks. The few of us who assessed Obama independent of his skin color were mocked and dismissed. But now it is a sad comment on you when you are so embarrassed at a mistake that you cannot bear to publicly admit it and must continue the pretense. If there is any hope to steer this country away from the Socialist/Marxist track it is currently heading, it lies in the thin margin of victory for Obama back in 2012. May be after this four yr term, enough of Americans will recognize Obama for the facade and folly that is a modern day US President that you will elect someone of substance. Roderick | ||
