Put it this way.

By providing this release we help keep certain people from going out and raping and murdering little girls.

( see part on the delight in despoiling the most pure )

A fine contribution to public health care. Thanks Blake. Bet you never thought this would be a side effect of a motorcycle forum. And now you have evidence.

Nothing provides health care like putting the providers out of business! Go BO!

My mom has told me that her local hospital is cutting back on services to Medicare patients too. It's just become too unprofitable to provide various services to Medicare patients.

This is a true big government cluster****!

Fourth Georgia hospital closes due to Obamacare payment cuts

quote:

The fourth Georgia hospital in two years is closing its doors due to severe financial difficulties caused by Obamacare’s payment cuts for emergency services.

The Lower Oconee Community Hospital is, for now, a critical access hospital in southeastern Georgia that holds 25 beds. The hospital is suffering from serious cash-flow problems, largely due to the area’s 23 percent uninsured population, and hopes to reopen as “some kind of urgent care center,” CEO Karen O’Neal said.

Many hospitals in the 25 states that rejected the Medicaid expansion are facing similar financial problems. Liberal administration ally Think Progress has already faulted Georgia for not expanding Medicaid as Obamacare envisioned.

But the reality is more complicated. The federal government has historically made payments to hospitals to cover the cost of uninsured patients seeking free medical care in emergency rooms, as federal law mandates that hospitals must care for all patients regardless of their ability to pay.

Because the Affordable Care Act’s authors believed they’d forced all states to implement the Medicaid expansion, Obamacare vastly cut hospital payments, the Associated Press reports.

The Supreme Court ruled that states could reject the Medicaid expansion in 2012, as part of the decision that upheld Obamacare generally. Since that decision, the Obama administration has so far instituted 28 unilateral delays and changes to the health care law’s implementation without congressional approval, Fox Business reports.

From verifying eligibility for subsidies to enforcing employer requirements, the Obama administration has already taken a hacksaw to the health care reform law, but it has made no changes to the provision raising problems for half the nation’s hospitals.

While the feds wait for financial pressure to force states to act, several state governments have been taking things into their own hands. Some have criticized these moves as “hospital bailouts.”

Seems to be a problem all over...

Man’s Back Surgery On Hold As Doctors Deny Covered California Coverage

quote:

Tammy says she finally found an in-network doctor, but the problems don’t end there. We looked him up using the couple’s plan info, and the Blue Cross website shows him as in-network.

But that same doctor’s officer told Tammy he won’t see patients with insurance from Covered California.

“It’s like we’re a second-class citizen,” she said. “We can’t get the coverage we need.”

For Chris, it’s another stop in a long road to the surgery he needs.

“To this point where it feels like I’m going to be in pain,” he said. “I can’t find nobody to do it.”

Sure, he's "insured". No one will accept his insurance though. I wish someone would have "FIFTYS".

Breitbart links voter-registration drives with Obamacare enrollments, via, you guessed it, ACORN:
"...Wade Rathke—the founder of ACORN himself—shows up in this Project Veritas videotape, portrayed as allegedly being at the center of the effort to fundamentally change the Lone Star State.
Also consider the disturbing tie to Obamacare in this video. Operatives from ACORN are now found nationwide in these pseudo-voter-registration outfits and in Obamacare sign-up groups. It purports to quote Clarence Landry from Enroll America, which is a group dedicated to signing as many people as possible into the federal government takeover of healthcare called Obamacare. Landry adds, “Battleground Texas, we network with them, we work with them.” He concludes by saying, “this is the same brainchild with Enroll America.”
This is deeply disturbing. Personal health information is among the most sensitive and potentially-embarrassing information that exists about a person. It can be terribly damaging and open a person up to extortion..."

Hello Korean Health Care !

Looking at examples around the world, and how it could work.....
For example - I am enrolled with Cigna International *not an endorsement - just a glimpse into how the expat policies work.

I pay 212 a month for Health (routine care, emergent care, vision, dental) and it is conjoined with a life policy * I opted for a Universal / Whole Life policy with a policy valuation at 450,000; contains short term disability and long term care coverage as well.

The cash value accumulated after premium maintenance is paid in (about 5 years) are mine, owned, individual, and portable - for life.

geee- what a great f'n idea.
Theses policies are only possible overseas - due to government regulation.

Remember to thank a Democrat at the polls come NOVEMBER

This is pretty amazing. So a cancer patient winds up being unable to pay for insurance and deductibles under ObamaDontCare, so politicians sic lawyers on her to stop her from telling her story, on the basis that "proof" of her story needs to be provided before it can be aired on a TV ad.

Where the F**K were these lawyers when we kept hearing "if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance"? Truth is meaningless to these politicians, but they are quick to claim others lack credibility. Typical projection.

made this statement over in the other thread
but it needs repeating here
they will and mostly soon tie the EBT to the ACA enrollment requirements
because people are not signing up on their own, this thug leadership will force mandate it to the other 'entitlement' and make it mandatory for that crowd

remember this was NEVER about health care - it has always been about herd control, vote wrangling - money fenagling and of course a good dose of Rope a Dope for Socialist Society Engineering
not a bit of it for health, medicine, or 'insurance'

and I think y'all are seeing that.

From Greatlaker to me.

You might want to read this.

Crux of it is that students are covered by their parents insurance until the age of 26 while at school. Why don't you know this stuff?? How old are you???

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/DC-Decoder/2013/1002/ Obamacare-101-What-college-students-need-to-know

Well, I'm well over 26. Adult, working, and Union. I already lost my Insurance because of Obamacare, and was able to replace it at only 300% more out of pocket. I suppose my Union didn't bribe Obama's campaign enough, or perhaps there is a lingering resentment for it endorsing Hillary. ( to be fair, Hillary was considered a lock at the time )

The NPR report about college students ignoring the ACA booth and being surprised they have to pay "penalties" shows that the STUDENTS are ignorant of Obamacare. Most believed the lies they were told.

Some have no insurance & stopped paying the really cheap rates to their parents, because they had in their opinion better things to spend the money on. Like rent, or food. ( in the NPR piece, stupid boys )
Others are still on their parents insurance since they "know how important it is". ( in the NPR piece, smart girls )

It'a almost a cliche that the Elderly often have to choose between food and medicine not paid for by Medicare. That's often true.

Now the Younger will often? have to choose between going to college, and paying a "penalty", or dropping out, moving home, and getting in line for that McDonalds job.

In both cases because of centralized, authoritarian, semi-socialized medicine run by a vast uncaring bureaucracy, directed by millionaire Aristocrats with "free" health care. ( provided illegally by Presidential Dictat by The O. )

I feel pretty certain that the people here on this board could come up with a "health insurance reform bill" that would address most of the problems the US system had before Barry Don't Care was imposed by one Party on the entire country.

Just a few suggestions. Some are already law in Obamacare. ( even a stopped watch is right twice a day )

1. Uniform minimum standards for health insurance. ( not including aromatherapy or feng shui home remodeling ) Going to be a major argument over the specs on that.

2. Those minimums mean that you will be allowed to buy across state lines. If Kaiser in CA has the plan you like, buy it. Even if you are in Minnesota, or New York.

3. Pre-existing conditions are not grounds for denying insurance. This WILL mean some recompense for the insurance companies. ( if you don't understand why, you don't understand insurance, and should go ask an adult )

3a. The Obamacare solution for the Insurance companies is to force people to buy insurance. With fines, and ultimately at gunpoint under threat of imprisonment. ( MSNBC has not reported any such arrests, so It probably hasn't happened yet. But I don't know that, after all, it's MSNBC )

3b. To pay for banning the pre-existing conditions clause in Insurance, rates will have to rise. Let them. ( being honest about this is the difference between Citizens and Tyrants )

4. Combine Medicare & Medicaid & several other social medicine programs into one bureaucracy. This means we will have to fire a few million Federal workers, who will then have difficulty getting jobs in the Obama New Normal Economy. I anticipate a great deal of resistance for this .

5. Change the culture at the Social Medicine agencies ( I figure 4. will fail to take place quickly, or ever ) to one that looks for fraud, but is not dedicated to denying legit claims.

( I suppose # 4 & 5 are nearly impossible to do without a nuclear war wiping out most population & administrative centers....... so we should have those plans in place for when/if the opportunity arises. )

I'm sure the rest of you have even better suggestions.

I really can't follow your logic there Aesquire. Your insurance went up 3x. i get that. What does that have to do with most students who are covered by their parents insurance. Even is a student is out of the parent's house they are still covered by the parent's insurance until age 26.

What percentage of college students do you think are over the age of 26? 10%? 15%?

Some have no insurance & stopped paying the really cheap rates to their parents, because they had in their opinion better things to spend the money on. Like rent, or food. ( in the NPR piece, stupid boys )

As I said. This is what NPR reported.

Before Obamacare, a large part of "the uninsured" that is spoken of is young folk who don't want to pay for insurance they don't think they need. With your mature wisdom, you can see they think they are immortal, and invincible, and that there will be plenty of time to get insurance when they get older, and get a job with coverage.

I am told ( by this Administration ) that the reason for the "penalties" are to force the young invincibles ( and I sure was at 18 ) to buy insurance to pay for the system.

Insurance works by having many hands carry the load. It's a bookie operation. People bet they are going to get sick ( or crash their car or have their house burn down, etc. ) and the Insurance company bets they won't....... or really won't enough that the payments coming in pay for the payments going out, plus administrative costs.

That is a massive oversimplification, but it is the meat of the matter.

For the pre existing claim thing, there has to be some onus on the individual as well to keep people from just waiting until they need insurance to buy insurance. Once you have a pre-existing condition, you aren't buying insurance, you are making level billing arrangements for care you and your insurer know you need.

Maybe the standardized plans, along with a no disclaimer for previous conditions *if* you had the previous condition diagnosed while under paid insurance... and then you only get the "cant be rejected" for the same tier you were under when you got diagnosed.

I have been licensed and appointed in the insurance industry for years - insurance - is a mitigated ripoff / it is marginalized gambling.

When working contracts, I always negotiate a higher salary for spot jobs, and take no 'benefits' everyone comes out ahead.

The Democrat / Progressive lie is that we take your money and make you 'healthy' because we know what is better for you....

um insurance does not equal health
and I think y'all are discovering that it doesn't mean 'access' either

There are better ways and methods to cover health and 'emergency' costs - and a group health insurance policy is one of the worse ones out there; the only way it gets any poorer than that is of course Medicaid.

There used to be a time in this country when you took care of yourself - and would not kneel to the government for help

The Government is a coy drug pusher - just a little bit of 'assistance' ... and they own you - and probably your kids too.
