No, he can't. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the states that Medicaid did not have to be expanded. It is the state governments screwing their own people even though the Federal government would be paying for it. Those states will remain third world.

If the O was on youtube slaughtering school children, you'd call it an education initiative to increase funding to the surviving students.

As someone who HAS lost his health insurance because of Obamacare, and was forced to pay about 300% more for comparable insurance, from the same company, ( and it's over 500% more if I have a hospital stay for over a week ) I can tell you that you are an ignorant fool.

The congress critters that voted for Obamacare did not read the bill. None of them have to this day. At this point, Obamacare isn't 3000 pages, it's 10,000 pages more than that, not one line of which was voted on by your representative. It's all "the Secretary shall determine".

The President, the Great and Powerful O, accused the "tea party" type Congressmen of nothing less than treason for trying to stop Obamacare, then when it staggered out of it's crypt, causing the cancellation of millions of Insurance policies, The O delayed the next phase of cancellations until after the next election. According to the President's own minions they expected nearly 200 million MORE people to lose their Insurance THIS year, but the O doesn't want the backlash for that, so he broke his own law purely for political purposes.

But I know you don't believe me, or are too dishonest to admit it.

What if the Congressional Budget office tells you?

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/cbo-di rector-large-and-growing-federal-debt-could-produc e-fiscal-crisis

In testimony before a House panel last week, Elmendorf said Obamacare subsidies that help low-income people buy expensive health insurance are a "disincentive for people to work." He said the Affordable Care Act "will reduce the total number of hours worked in the economy by between one-and-a-half and two percent from 2017 to 2024." That represents a decline in the number of full-time-equivalent workers of about 2.0 million in 2017, rising to about 2.5 million in 2024.

I don't agree with all Mr. Elmendorf's predictions, but the prediction that you are screwed, sucker, seems accurate.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/02/11/thought -police-firms-must-swear-obamacare-not-factor-in-f irings/

In a nutshell, you have to swear you didn't fire employees to fit Obamacare rules, or they will fine you. You can fire as many as you want, you just get fined if you admit you did it because of the O's "greatest achievement". ( which I'm sure is considered such by the enemies of Freedom, like the Communist Party USA, a major Obama endorser.)

I find the above Ungood.

But there are signs of hope.

Lying about why your're firing people to make Obama look good is the intent of that. You have to pay a fine if you speak out against the government. Hmmm. Seems like there's an old dusty law somewhere that is supposed to prevent that sort of thing.

FredFast, you realize that when your state signs on the dotted line for that initial pot of Fed money, that it goes away in the following years, and the state is on the hook to pay for it forever, right?

Heres a simple intelligence test for you.

I'll give you a smart phone that costs $800 per month. You have to sign a contract saying you will pay for it for the next 20 years. But I'll give you an $800 per month subsidy for the first 12 months.

Is the phone free? Is the phone even a good deal?

Take your time, it's tricky.

Some folks are simply not that bright.

Interesting that the "corporate mandate" is now looking like it'll be pushed off another year. The administration knows, quite well, that once that kicks in the entire thing crumbles big and fast.

Don't think some folks are loving this. I am aware of at least one young man who's just pocketed a $700k bonus for navigating his firm through the fray.

By two years from now the provisions of the bill that underwrite Insurers will kick in and past federal bailouts will look like kid's play.

"Is the phone free? Is the phone even a good deal? "

So I guess it's a good idea for hospitals to bear the burden of providing healthcare for all the uninsured that walks through their emergency room doors? Or are all those who have insurance eventually paying the healthcare costs of the uninsured because hospital rates are rising to pay for this loophole? If you provide insurance to people at this income level, at least you can recover some of the cost of their healthcare even if they're subsidized.

No, it's just that the Federal government has to force states to accept the responsibility of taking care of their own constituents. And these states pretend to be the most Christian. How ironic. Or is it?

Geesh Fred, you must be great fun at parties. Every point you raise includes both incorrect facts and offensive and provocative statements.

Lets leave Christianity out of this, as bigots like you have gone to *great* lengths to purge God from government. Congratulations, you did it, you and your government are on their own now.

Where, exactly, are the states charged with the "responsibility" of providing medical care? And even if they were, why shouldn't they also then be charged with overturning inertia, which kills millions of people a year? How can the states let the laws of physics continue!?!??! It's outrageous!

What if the math and physics behind your good intentions simply don't work? Then what? What if there just isn't enough time and money to protect the majority of people from decisions they are free to make?

Sorry, neither. Civilized societies take care of their people. That is the purpose of government. Truth is an illusion to justify points of view. Lies are subjective. Some have to give more than others.
You want facts. Fact is one third of the population is living below the poverty line. If you are ok with that, you don't deserve good government let alone called a "good christian".

'Civilized' societies take care of their people....
Please point to which society of which you speak.

It is the PURSUIT of happiness (life, liberty, fortune) NOT the guarantee, not the stream of entitlements
Which is what this trend has become

I haven't tried for a long time now, but just for kicks I tried creating an account on healthcare.gov again today. It still doesn't work for me. If I needed to go that route I would really be pissed. Well more pissed than I am now. What an incredible system that has failed to meet a single measurable objective!

That's Kristen Powers, the liberal Democrat . . . who basically said (in her words) that Obama has incomppentently rolled this out, it's not working and his supporters have tired of defending him.

This guy is amassing quite a resumé. He's a proven (unequivocally) liar and now his own team calling him incompetent.

Let's see how his new "scandal du jour" plays out . . . selling Ambassadorships.

Fred:

Congratulations . . . . I confess . . .there was a time I was skeptical. I'm thrilled to see your report about the roaring success.

One more question . . . .

Can you explain why Obama is delaying, for the 7th time, the implementation . . this time for another year and he's talking about 2 years.

He's made no less than 10 "Executive Orders" (which it appears he lacks the authority to do) to "modify" the laws.

So . . . for you . . . I've got to ask . . if it's so damn good why do millions and millions have exemptions and why has the implementation been delayed a year?

Puzzling to me, it is.

It looks like . . . well, as the Democrats are now saying . . it's a fricking clone show.

Sign ups from young people are up a whole 3 percentage points? That brings it up to the point of total failure. That segment has to come up closer to 30 percentage points to meet goals. Even the "good" news is terrible.

"Can you explain why Obama is delaying, for the 7th time, the implementation . . this time for another year and he's talking about 2 years."

The Affordable Care Act is not a dogma or proclamation from a king as some here depict it. It is a working act to be modified to best suit the needs of the people. If the law puts too much immediate pressure on small businesses to comply than it's best to delay until these business have more time to prepare.
The ACA is a huge project for the government and it's beneficial that they can adjust along the way to suit the needs of everyone. I expect even more changes.
