O'Care Poster Child FAIL
Nov. 19, 2013

During Barack Obama's October Rose Garden press conference touting all the people who would benefit from ObamaCare – before he had to “apologize” for the utter disaster that the rollout actually was – he pointed to Jessica Sanford as a prime example of someone who would benefit from coverage and subsidies. It turns out, that was a bit premature. Sanford received a letter from the state saying that the website goofed, and that the generous subsidies she thought she qualified for to bring her premium to just $169 per month were not, in fact, available to her. Instead, she owes full price. Oops! During that Rose Garden festivity, Obama said, “Now, that is not untypical for a lot of folks like Jessica who have been struggling without health insurance. That is what the Affordable Care Act is all about.” Indeed it is.

Tom, one thing I hope people noticed about the videos we just posted.
These are from people that voted for Obama.
I really hope this is the wake up call for the American People.
It looks grim at times, but I have to stay optimistic, at least until I'm full time "Out in the Woods"

It's bad when even your "success" stories are failures.

I was at a fundraiser last night for someone who is launching her political career, running for Illinois state rep. It was pretty much a who's who of republican leadership in Illinois, with a few notable exceptions of people who are clear RINOs. It's clear they they are planning to make the Democrats own ObamaDontCare. It was also great to hear them speaking of the lacking backbone with the Republicans lately. The change we need may be coming. Honestly, I haven't been this hopeful for a long time. I hope it pans out and I hope it isn't too little too late.

Honestly, I haven't been this hopeful for a long time.
Kinda like being beat with a baseball bat, once the bat is replaced with a big stick, it's a relief, but we're still getting beaten up.
Stay ever vigilant, and never complacent.

The next step in regulating 'health'..... controlling food, and enrolling more and more on SNAP / Stamps
Check the new Farm bill and its pork payments to the architecture expenditures of that mess.

http://www.linkedin.com/today/post/article/2013111 9151551-23027997-fixing-food-stamps-for-all-could- be-a-snap

from Dr. David L. Katz - a pusher and supporter of the ACA

watch and learn - they are not done meddling in the name of 'health' yet.

Y'all do realize one of this lady's problems is that she's self-employed.
The burden put to entrepreneurs and the self-employed is staggering.

Oh and by the way, I'm still waiting for all those people that voted for Obama to tell me "I told you so" like they said they would be able to do...

Those of you yungins that want a bike, car, house, etc..... pay attention to how Washington DC is screwing you.

ObamaCare's financing won't work unless "young healthies" (or their parents) pay through the nose for coverage under parental plans or via the individual mandate. The 18 to 26 age group is the lowest user of care, the least costly to cover and the most profitable of all health-insurance coverage. Yet the group faces extraordinarily high ObamaCare rates.

A Manhattan Institute analysis of Health and Human Services numbers notes that a 27-year-old male will pay 99 percent higher premiums under ObamaCare than he would under previously prevailing market rates.
One reason is that the law now limits insurers to charging the sickest seniors no more than three times the amount they charge their youngest customers.
Given that 64 year olds use on average six times as much health care as 19 year olds, the Affordable Care Act forces young people to pay considerably more than the cost of their own care.

Young men and women who pay a fine instead of buying coverage are not making an irrational choice. They know how little care they need and use. They also may be beginning to understand that the high cost of their plans reflects the redistribution of their wealth to older people and a bunch of mandated services that don't make sense for them.

and vote the b@stards out - often.

I can't help but think we're all being played like fish by the media. City and GeeDee would probably agree. That said:

quote:

Obama’s Ratings Tumble After Health-Care Flaws
Dan Balz and Peyton M. Craighill, November 19, 2013

The flawed rollout of the Affordable Care Act has pushed President Obama to the lowest point of his presidency, with dwindling faith in his competence and in many of the personal attributes that have buoyed him in the past, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

...The health-care law has become a political burden for elected officials who support it. Almost four in 10 Americans say they are more likely to oppose a politician who backs the legislation, while just over a fifth say they would be more likely to support such a politician. That’s the biggest gap recorded in Post-ABC polling during the entire debate over the law.

I find it frightening and sad that it took the rollout of 0bamaDontCare for his numbers to finally tank. What about all the other scandals of his pResidency?

I wonder if they've ever polled the parents of Brian Terry?

The family of Amb. Stevens?

Do they ever poll the Navy SEAL community? How about our military in general?

The Left forgave him simply because it either didn't involve them, or it's similar to what they'd do, or even worse, they simply weren't paying attention to the "vast right wing conspiracy"
Do they ever poll the Navy SEAL community? How about our military in general?
I don't think they're really allowed to have a publicly known opinion.

The complicit media are THE problem. If they were honest and objective, he'd never have been elected. Nor would Reid or Pelosi. The corrupt and biased media are the root cause of the rise of Progressivism.

We need a more powerful answer to them. They are the enemy of freedom in America.

This is the first of his lies that directly hits the majority of people right where they pay attention, without being hidden in some tax that you never really pay attention to.

Reminds me of the poem that has been rerwitten many ways...

polling is HIGHLY speculative.
They will focus on a pooling of groups that if you look at the disclaimer ... you will find again and again, who they ask, and 'what' they ask them - will skew numbers - and the title that they put the number under

ie 54 % of Americans find Obama 'Untruthful'.... (on ObamaCare) of registered voters, questioned in liberal areas, of people that don't necessarily work for a living = with a margin of error of 7%...... so it will be come

2/3 of Americans 'support' Obama in his roll out of Health care reform

and this is why I was not eligible for employment at Pew, Huffpo, Gallup or Rasmussen
.....

Lies and Statistics - you are convinced they are 'different' .... they ain't.

Funny to watch that video . . his big concern was the that "the beneficiary will be the insurance companies who will gain billions".

He forget to mention that he'd included a provision that would reimburse the insurance companies, virtually eliminating their risk, for any "excessive", or greater than expected, payout as a result of insuring folks with pre-existing conditions.

Effectively, and quietly, the feds stepped into the role of a guarantor for the insurance companies.

Any you wonder they the insurance companies love this guy?

Check out their stock prices. . .

Having the Federal Government pay off the insurance companies is the stepping stone to Communist Socialized Medicine. City is correct in that Obama stops at nothing to use Alinsky-Bolshevik methods.

This bastard must be stopped.

It floors me how some can say that this Communist is helping him change his tire. WTFU.

Pundits are calling ObamaCare a "trainwreck". It is nothing of the sort. It is working as planned to destroy the Middle Class, keep the poor subservient to Big Brother, destroy small business because they are contributors to Conservatism, and keeps a perpetual Ruling Elite.

This bastard must be stopped or Weimar Republic II (and the world) will suffer a similar fate as the first one.

Because if you force the free market to make structures and policies that are not profitable and feesible - they will adjust their behavior accordingly.....

Hello Sweet Home Seattle.
Because of the required benefits and services imposed by the new policies - insurance companies in Washington have opted out of covering services at Childrens Hospital, and Childrens Cancer Care Center.....

Gee - who didn't see this one coming.
EMTALA is on the table next - watch and see.

Hint - this happened back in 96 as well; funny how history repeats itself.
