Has anyone noticed in the past six years or so that the word 'slum' has left the news programs dialogs? It was replaced with the term "Democratic Voter Base". Teach a person to fish, farm, or hunt they will be able to eat for a life time. Teach them they will be fed chips, sodas, and fries without getting off the couch, they will fight for their 'right' to continue doing it. | ||

Seems straightforward to me, the Gov wants to cut food stamps to folk who stole, or perhaps you can find a nicer way to put it? But just being on food stamps ( there's no stamp anymore, but names linger ) in the New Normal Obama Economy isn't a sign of character flaws or laziness. It's a sign you need to feed your family, and if you've paid your taxes your whole life, like most of us, it's not wrong or cheating. It's not even wrong if you are one of the growing number of folk who went through the public school system in a modern "progressive" urban school. Seriously, unless you bucked the peer pressure not to follow "the man's" path and busted your own butt to learn, which is still possible, "would you like fries with that" or other labor is pretty much it. With Common Core now here to indoctrinate and propagandize the children, it's going to be even rarer to see self motivated kids get a real education. Local Urban schools have a sub 50% graduation rate, and the percentage that can read at a 6th grade level after 13 years is not awesome. "they"now have created a new world where the decent factory jobs that created the middle class, ( your parents ) the semi skilled/assembly line type jobs are mostly gone. Especially in high tax progressive run urban areas. So cut the poor some slack. Obama made way over 10 million hard working folk poor. So poor that food stamps mean the difference between life and death. You want to hammer the "flash mob robbery" action, please do! And I'm not sure I disagree with the gov on punishing thieves by cutting off their food stamps. It'd be a nightmare for all involved to try and prosecute these folk. On so many levels. OTOH, you want to ship the 20 million Criminal Trespassers ( Illegals ) back to Mexico and beyond? Count me in. Think of the Jobs! Or we could cancel a couple of Presidential Golf Trips and buy them all business class tickets where ever they wanted to go. I think that would be the most "fair" solution. But don't pick on the Poor. They are even more the victims of the Proglib socialists than you are. And you'll probably be one of them soon, especially if this Administration sees your comments and uses the IRS to steal all your material wealth. But that's paranoid talk. Period. Right? |
