hey that was me Thanks for posting- sorry for not giving credit. Any other models shown? naked, uly type, Hero motorcycles? According to the guy from AF1 Racing (EBR dealer that sponsors www.ebrforum.com), no other models were mentioned. One of the articles posted today says EBR dealers will be selling 4 Hero models. |

"One of the articles posted today says EBR dealers will be selling 4 Hero models." Hero's website shows the largest bike at 223cc, The Karizma at... Are you sitting down? Seventeen horsepower! Admittedly, I like the looks of the bike, but that's quite the jump in output, engine size, and I'd imagine, price. Are there specific US models being produced? When do we see these? |

Its just beautiful. I'm very impressed. I was planning on keeping the 1125 for a few more years but I really love the looks and the spec sheet of the RX. I may need to re-evaluate the things I was planning to buy now that the 1125 is paid off... |

I was prepared to be disappointed, and boy was I wrong. The bike is AWESOME! The stats alone are amazing. From a performance view the bike should be able to take on all comers. I'm glad EBR pulled it off. Now I hope sales will follow. I am curious how the price point compares with the competition. I AM still wanting to see EBR build an AX. But i'm guessing its gonna be a couple of years. And that will only happen if the RX is a winner. |

Just found a question and answer on Geoff May's Facebook page- apparently he will be riding the 1190RX in World Superbike next year! |

The new RX looks sweet! Very impressive specifications. Although at $18999 still a bit rich for my blood. When I bought my '02 XB9R in Oct. of '01 the price was $9999. When I finally took delivery in Apr. '02 the bike was actually introduced as an '03 model. Then (I believe) in the fall of '02 Buell dropped the price to $8999 due to poorer than expected sales. I'm gonna ride this out and see how sales (pricing) unfolds in time on the RX. Still have the XB9R and a '09 1125R (currently for sale in the classified section). Who knows, maybe we'll see a reduction in price again! If nothing else, possibly I'll buy one 2nd hand after the major depreciation sets in and pick up a 1 year old model with low miles for $12K!!! Or maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part...LOL. Either way EBR has hit a home run.......congrats Erik!

Did anyone happen to ask if they put a proper wheel bearing setup in this go around? |

Some of the info that is or was on www.ebrdealer.info implies that there is a significant markup in the MSRP, which means (hopefully) some dealers will be willing to bargain. There was also something about a program for selling demo bikes. I'm guessing there'll be at least a possibility of getting one for considerably less than $18995 if you're patient. The site does say there is an enforced MSRP advertising policy, so dealers can't advertise massive discounts. |

Did anyone happen to ask if they put a proper wheel bearing setup in this go around? Dude, seriously? They took care of that in 2009, 2010 model year (3 bearing rear wheel). |

Plus this bike doesn't even use the same size axle or bearings as the XB/1125 |

The chain drive negates the wheel bearing issues as well since its not under nearly as much tension. I'm excited. I can't wait to see the SX and the AX and I'm already planning a trip to see Geoff at a WSBK race. |

did anyone happen to ask if they put a proper wheel bearing setup in this go around They took care of that when they were made at the factory in all mine. Still all running original wheel bearings. Some of them 10 years later. |

By the way, did anyone else notice it didn't seem as though Erik was anywhere to be seen? Very surprised I didn't see anyone catch him in a pic of the reveal... he surely wouldn't have missed this?! |

BMW HP4 - 179HP - $20,525 Ducati 1199 Panigale R - 195HP - $29,995 Ducati 1199 Panigale S - 195HP - $29,995 Note: Ducati show them both the same power. But the illegal (it ships unattached) exhaust for the R adds 7HP bringing the R up to 202HP with torque just slightly lower than the EBR 1190RX Can we agree . . . .The EBR is priced about 20% BELOW it's direct competition? |

If you want a $12k bike...go buy a $12k bike. Don't expect a $19k bike to be discounted (less than TWELVE HOURS after it is debuted to the WORLD), and whine when it isn't. And the "significant markup" isn't room to discount and blow out a competitive, valued item. It is there so dealers can survive. This is not going to be a high-volume brand, not anytime soon, and Erik & Co. realize that. Remember all the bitching about " dealers" when EBR was under the HD flag? This is a way to minimize or eliminate that - to make the dealers care about the brand, and able to care for their customers the way they should be cared for. If you want a cheap, blowout-priced POS...go shop Craigslist. |

The price especially isn't bad when you consider, hey for just a couple thousand additional dollars, you could look at purchasing a motorcycle with around 85 less horsepower, a couple less ft-lbs of torque, reduced braking, reduced cooling, Oh, i mean a HD Dyna... don't think you could touch a new Softtail for $19k though. |
