Neutron weapons?, I don't think that Russia will sit still, nor China, I am not a fan of them either,

We are vulnerable to EMP attack, 3 High altitude Nukes and bye bye US power grid.
Our Industrial systems electronics, slag, no transport, no radio, no cell phones, few
cars or trucks.. The book by Dr William Forchen "One Second After" details life after this type of event.

I agree that you fight to win, War is NOT a gentleman's occupation.

Our problem will be the Liberals that will get in the way, The current crop of mallet heads still think that you can negotiate with the Jihad i

We have sold out the Pakistani Doctor that rolled over on Bin laden, where is he?
That would have been an excellent Hearts and minds tool, Tell the prospective mayrter
-> Yeah Doc so&so turned in Bin laden, Lives in the US, in the lap of luxury new car every year, nice home, kids to best schools.... Even has Security
Rather than Blow your self up for some Virgins ( Camels)

But we BLEW THAT for a POLITICAL COUP for the CAMPAIGNER in chief. So what ever we may have been able to do that is out

what a shame..

The carrot works better than the stick....
especially if the stick is big and nasty
Now we are precieved as a paper tiger..

Briefly caught a few minutes of talk radio today and the guest's Contention is that we ( England and the U.S. ) had attempted to engage the violent Jihadi cults, and had ignored the vast majority of Islam, which is just folk. ( from "best of hannity" show )

While not in total agreement with a half heard snippet of opinion, He had a point, I think, and IMHO it's that you simply cannot engage with the enemy when the enemy's goal is your subjugation. He wants to rule you, and you don't want him to, so where do you compromise on that?

The rest of the folk in a multifaceted and varied religion are the folk we have to get on the side of freedom to/and get them to reject the "political Islamism" folk that demand monolithic theocracy.

My Worldview is obviously different to the average American's. That's OK.

Visit http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/ and find out more about Operation Gladio, because it is still operational and connected to Muslims and the Central Asian area. Chechnya and Boston, anyone?

One last thing, I'm not anti-American. Far from it. I'm not anti-Judaism either. Zionism is another matter, but the average person has no idea of the difference. They should wake up and learn, real quickly.

To fix the problems you have to confront the problems.

Golly, While I only watched the first few minutes, it's just like the "infotainment" put out by the Soviet Union as they blamed all the ills of the planet on the CIA.

Now, I'll admit the US "intelligence" services leave a lot to be desired. After the fall of the Soviet Union, we discovered a few things.

1. The Russians kicked our butts, hard, in the spy wars.

2. "Tail Gunner Joe" Mccarthy was right. The Soviets infiltrated ( and still are deeply embedded ) in the State Dept. and other branches of government.

3. The Education takeover by the "progressives" was coordinated with Soviet agencies.

4. the Greens ( in europe, main target Germany & France, the Industrial powers ) are a wholly created KGB front to destroy Western industrial power.

5. The anti nuclear movement is a fully sponsored Soviet front.

6. The Soviets simultaneously suppressed Islam in their own conquered territories, ( both are Jealous religions that are intolerant of others ) and supported Violent Jihad to attack the West. ( both strategies will IMHO bite them back. See Chechnya. )

7. The U.S. CIA is, partly because of a 4-8 year cycle of civilian idiocy and changing demands, pretty freaking incompetent, though they have a rapidly shrinking core of competent, dedicated men & women. Pournelle's Iron Law applies big time.

Now, this isn't paranoia, this is from Soviet files and KGB officers that escaped after the Fall of the Soviet Union who weren't connected enough to be given a piece of the pie as those in power stole everything "state" owned and created a new Aristocracy off the spoils. ( this is actually a case where zero-sum economics is real. If you steal it, not make it, it's finite. ) You may notice that Putin ( KGB ) has destroyed other aristocrats/oligarchs when they challenged his power. Game of Thrones? Just business as usual in a medieval world with nuclear bombs and vast armies.

Short form, I doubt the CIA is good enough to do what is claimed.

If we had a free press, we'd know all about the CIA Libya-Turkey-Syria gun running. How competent is that?

Go and explore the links I posted.

Ah, the good Comrade Financiers of the West !
Lenin had no power without money and backing from the west - his money afforded him a security that quelled many of the assassination attempts.
The Czar was not unaware of Lenin - it is just that the Bolshevics Killed him and his family before he was able to do the same.

The game has been played before. And if you are paying attention - you see it.

I believe this is why they burn books and destroy libraries - IF you knew history, and histories of other cultures - you would see that the memes and trends are circular, tried, and well trodden.

Hello Reindog. City makes a pretty good summary. The Western bankers were indeed the financiers.

A conservative 20,000,000 people, mostly Orthodox Christians, died in the years between the Revolution and the end of World War 2.

Plenty of information out there, and disinformation of course. This link gives a brief overview, but don't get upset.

I went on the Russian cruiser "Aurora" when I was in what was then Leningrad. The ship fired a a blank shot from her forecastle gun on 25th October 1917 which signaled the start of the assault on the Winter Palace, which was to be the last episode of the October Revolution.

"The game has been played before. And if you are paying attention - you see it.

The author blames "multiculturalism" not Islam, for the riots in Sweden. Could well be.

I wonder if the form the riots has taken isn't culture specific, or more likely learned behavior, codified, and spread as a means for Dar al-Harb to be conquered?

It is the nature of revolutionary/subversive movements to recruit and use other minority groups, especially in the early stages where you want to seem populist, and popular.

Examples abound. The college students are a most often used ally during the early stages of the conflict. Idealistic, partly educated but still quite ignorant, and easily incited to violent demonstrations. ( see Viet Nam Antiwar, Russian Revolution, Annual French Student Riots, ( I think it's on the calender there ) Occupy, Etc. )

Another most popular temporary ally is the ghetto poor, see the Nika Revolt, The French Revolution, Arab Spring, etc.

The Nika Revolt ( Constantinople, Roman capital ) was organized using the "hippodrome" crowds. These were the racers, trainers, hangers on, crazy fans, thugs, mobsters and what all you'd expect from a culture/city with a huge horse racing center. Modern equiv.???? Drug gangs, mobsters, ???

Historically, the students, intellectuals, ( a different category than students ) the poor and the idealists of every stripe are ousted and/or killed within a year of the revolution/victory, as the evil thugs take over. See Arab Spring ( Egypt, Libya? ) French Revolution, China, ( multiple waves ) Soviet Russia, most small clubs you know........

So, no, perhaps the rioting in Sweden is not because of deliberate, planned political action to promote Islam, but the tactics are from the current playbook.

Have to agree the current fad of multiculturalism as a social trend to be suicidal.

History may not repeat itself but it sure can rhyme.

Turkey, Syria, Russia, the US, looks like it could be another proxy war crap deal, like Korea and Vietnam. Syria has long been a Soviet..... how do you say??? Good parter? The US seems to be aiding the jihadi forces in Syria, working through Turkey? WTF?

Well, let's hope & pray for the Turks, anyway.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/350124/syria s-religious-war-jonah-goldberg

Goes beyond this thread into war for power and territory. The current US administration seems to be on the "wrong" side, with Russia supporting Asad as their proxy. The gun running deal really annoyed Russia it seems. Don't really blame them.

We seem, and this is problematical, to be supporting the Jihadi alongside the Saudis and Theocrat leaning Turks.

Now, it's obvious that much of the religious aspect of this Syrian conflict is exploitive. The denominations are being used as puppets. You can argue that is the actual purpose of Islam, but you can make a weaker argument for other faiths too.

It's not that there is a religious significance in Syria, just that the Asad Regime are of a particular clan and have ruled for quite some time over a mixed bag of Sunni, Shia, and others. If he wasn't a ruthless dictator, we'd applaud Asad for keeping a lid on the potential religious strife in his country. If he wasn't a supporter of terrorism aimed at us, we'd probably like him. If he wasn't a puppet of the Soviets, or now an ally of the Russian Empire, we would have courted Asad as an ally long since.

So the religious parts are a combination of realpolitik, exploitation, and a desire to turn a secular nation into a theocracy. The Political parts are a Russia, US Proxy War, ( which is not a good thing at any time, but worse with the belief system of the US administration. ) Combined with a wider effort to create the new Caliphate.

Interesting take on the nature of our perception of the current War.

One thing points out the difference between many faiths, and Islam.

The President make a recent comment that "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

at 4:15 in the PJTV vid above, Klavan points out that "yes it does, it belongs to the people that slander Christ, to people that speak up, because what we believe in is the freedom to speak. What we believe in is the freedom to have differences of opinion."

One of the most nauseating recent celebrations of Guevara took the form of a movie, The Motorcycle Diaries, whose executive producer was Robert Redford (one of the most dedicated Castro apologists in Hollywood, which is saying something). The movie received a standing ovation at the Sundance Festival. About this obnoxious hagiography and whitewash, I will confine myself to quoting Tony Daniels: "It is as if someone were to make a film about Adolf Hitler by portraying him as a vegetarian who loved animals and was against unemployment. This would be true, but rather beside the point." There is another movie coming out about Guevara, directed by Steven Soderbergh. We can guess at its contents by the publicity material: "He fought for the people." Sure he did. A prominent Cuban American recently lunched with a famous and powerful actor to discuss a movie that tells the truth about Guevara. The actor was entirely sympathetic, but said it simply could not be done — Hollywood would not permit it.

Let's not forget the other religion that considers lies a blessing.

The alliance of Islamism ( aka Islamic Fascism ) and the Statist/neo-communist/socialist ideologies seems a natural, and is an exploiting move by actors like Russia, but both religions are intolerant and plan to purge the other from the face of the Earth once we've been destroyed.

I have to assume both sides figure they'll win after defeating western civilization.

Given the historical record, I'd place bets on that war being the most murderous ever seen.

What, you thought it was a economic system?

Would you like references to learn about these things? Or I could cut and paste.

One of the Former leaders of the Soviet Union, talking to European press, summed it up nicely. Communism isn't an economic system, it's a system so that a very small elite can rule a vast number of people. It's a system that uses spirituality, in the same sense any religion does, in propaganda, the righteousness of the Informant as a social structure, and intolerance of other opinions and ways.

The Higher power is the Holy State, and all other faiths are suppressed. ( One reason "radical Islam" is as messed up as it is, is the oppression in the former Soviet Union of the Faithful.)

Now bear in mind that there is no "real" Communism as described by Marx outside short lived experiments like a Commune.

The systemology, ideology, and goals of pretty much every Revolutionary Communist govt. is designed to take power, consolidate it, and rule the mob with a tiny elite.

That's why students are very welcome in the opening stages of a Revolution, ( peaceful or otherwise ) and inevitably are pushed aside by the more hard core authoritarians. Just look at Russia's Revolution and it's evolutionary path.

Socialism ( as a political movement ) is on the sliding scale of government authority and responsibility. Socialism is a transitional stage from Libertarian to Communism in societal evolution. ( as envisioned by the Communists who believe they have an inevitability to rule, and force all into submission to their will. )

So, yeah, Socialism, Fascism, Communism, etc. not exactly the same, but all with common roots in basic belief system. The Deity is the State which gives power to the Priesthood to rule the Peasants. Marx didn't invent most of this stuff, he just repackaged it.

Huh. Seems a little harsh.

I, personally, don't feel that the Word of God is diminished in the slightest when a bible (one of many millions) is destroyed by someone who wasn't going to read their copy anyway.

As a political (religious? Well, it's Islam, so the two are the same) stunt, it falls under free speech. That's not allowed in Egypt. If CAIR has their way, it won't be allowed here either. Still, it's refreshing to see the draconian anti freedom laws that Islam demands being turned on those demanding that Islam be the law of the land.

Last month’s coup in Egypt, when the army overthrew the democratically elected Muslim Brotherhood president, has been another propaganda boost for Mr al-Zawahiri. He has long warned Islamist groups to shun democratic politics.

In a statement released last week purporting to be from the al-Qaeda leader and aimed at Muslim Brotherhood supporters, he said that “we have to admit first that legitimacy does not mean elections and democracy”. He criticised the Muslim Brotherhood for “abandoning jihad” and “trying its best to satisfy America and the secularists”.

“Al-Qaeda has always argued that violence is the only way and some Muslim Brotherhood supporters might now start to agree with them,” says Shadi Hamid, a scholar at the Brookings Doha Center.

Secular Democracy is only a stepping stone on the way to tyranny. If your faith embraces lies and deceit as the One True Way.

Islam, Leftism ( all the fascist/neo-Marxist faiths ) and the Greenies ( a subset of neo-Marxism, like Liberation Theology, with Bunnies ) all embrace the Lie as the Means. The end result is the same in all 3 cases, the only difference is who runs the secret police that murders you in the night.

Here's the future for your families if you think that Islamaphobia is the point here.

I have no documentation on this.

Not surprised in the least, as these are intolerant supporters of a leader of lies.

I do, however, have ample documentation that the "Palestinian's" have repeatedly staged photo ops. Some show the same toys in the rubble, and in some cases the photo's of horribly wounded people from an "Israeli strike" are shot in areas destroyed years ago by the PLO and often with the same victims. Amazing how that little old lady was killed so many times in so many places.

I've also seen footage of Hamas fighters jumping out of their "armored personnel carriers". You know, the ones marked as ambulances?

While not a big fan of Israeli politics or actions, the difference between a Republic and a dictatorship, between freedom and intolerance is obvious to all not blinded by their own hate.
