Well, maybe pre-production bike. Just posted to their Facebook page: Caption: "Meanwhile, away from the track lots of testing going on at EBR..." I see a rear seat and passenger pegs, so it's not an 1190RS. Anything else of interest anyone can pick out? |

You beat me Hugh. I saw the pillion pad and knew it was the RX also. I didn't even see the foot pegs. It's beautiful! |

And chain driven. You can see it between the foot peg and bike. It's gold colored (Message edited by Jcjohnson33 on July 22, 2013) |

I love the license plate. H-D no longer makes bikes in Wisconsin, right? |

Looks like what you'd expect; an 1190 with plastic body work instead of carbon or light fiberglass, cast aluminum bits instead of magnesium, and components more in line with a realistic MSRP for a mainstream liter bike. Damn, I really don't need to buy another bike.... |

"H-D no longer makes bikes in Wisconsin, right?" they dont? as i said in another thread - look like the B2 seat, so Im wondering how similar to that it'll be, if some of the cues will come from it |

Sportsters, vrods are made in Kansas City. York, PA makes softails and tricycles. They closed the Capitol drive plant. I think the business operations and museum are all that remains in Milwaukee. |

Oops! just looked it up. They have powertrain operations in Menomonee Falls, WI. So they still make stuff in the state. |

So they no longer manufacture motorcycles there that could have a WI MFG plate. |

Incorrect. The MANUFACTURER is based there. They own the bike (a HD). Therefore if they brought one from a factory located elsewhere, as the owner based in WI, they could put a WI plate on it. Immaterial anyway, since the new EBRs have absolutely nothing to do with HD.... |

The short ladder must be part of the AX parts and accessory catalog. Instead of making lower seats, they are raising the riders. |

Because it isn't being built by Rotax. Buell and Rotax designed the 1125 motor. EBR have acquired it from Rotax, and are building a modified version of it themselves. An EBR motor is no more a Rotax than the VRod motor is a Porsche. (Message edited by hootowl on July 24, 2013) |

Not that there's anything wrong with Rotax. The make great engines. |

Here's what EBR themselves said in a response to a question about the engine on Facebook below the above photo: "This is an EBR engine, not Rotax. We are building them in East Troy!" That's right from the horse's mouth. |

just a thought, Rotax supplies castings forgings, clutch, gear box, waterpump etc, EBR gets finish machine done here, the special rods, cams pistons, etc done here Motor is assembled here IT IS their motor. its exciting, I just wonder what the elves have up their sleeves the mind reels ..... |
