The Verado 350 is an in-line 6. 30 cylinders pumping out 1750 hp. The Huntress 42 is capable of speeds close to 80 mph. At a cost though, at wot, she drinks 400.00 per hour in fuel.

Cigarette uses Merc exclusively, but Id love to see how fast a Huntress would fly with 4-5 of these other Wisconsin products, the 7 Marine 557. The Caddy CT-S motor.

Ljm--

The first motorcycle I ever owned was a '64 YM-1. I believe the common name for this model was "Catalina." I mixed oil with the gas. Riding Superman style on level ground I got it to go 95. Unfortunately I was hard on the bike and it died at slightly over 6,000 miles. I'm glad to see you've done much, much better at preserving such a fine example of a by-gone technology. Nice job.

bolthead, the 4360 was in a few different aircraft,
Mauler-single engine attack type
Corsair-just one model
the B-36 had 6 in Pusher configuration!!! AND 4 jet engines. How would you like to be that crew chief.
C-97-cargo plane, also used for fire bombing untill about 10 years ago.
Some Unlimited Reno air racers use them.
I had worked with a guy that was a mechanic on the B-36 and he said if one of the engines had ANY trouble it was yanked and sent to the shop for the Pratt guys to deal with, they wouldnt even change plugs.
We had a 4360 at A&P school and the instructors used to threaten us with getting it running, Wish we could have. Would have been amazing to hear that thing run.

I went to the GM Heritage Center a few months back. Some pretty cool drool material there. Job #1 of the 53 vette, various flavors of mid engine prototype vettes, cosworth vega, Buick Y job, Firebird I and II, Olds curve dash racer, plus a crap ton of other significant vehicles. Kind of overwhelming. Not sure what I did with the pictures but I'll post a few if I can find them.

s21125r, That is some pretty cool stuff that they did years back. Some of it still shows up as new ideas.

The mid engine Vette has been at a couple of the Vette shows I did back in the mid 90's. Neat stuff.

I think they had a dual fueled (gas and alcohol) Buick LeSabre when I was there. The alcohol activation was a big red button on the center console, it was pretty awesome.
