So Im riding my dual-sport after a throttle body sync...Test ride to the store for a dumb magnetic tool holder. Had on some no pocket shorts I Know I know should have had more gear on. Anyways dropped my wallet:scared:scared:scared:ohno F'me I had $300+ in cash. Also gift cards and other very important ID's and license. Well i always have my business cards in my wallet in case. Well lucky lucky for me a girl called me this morning and said she was following me on my motorcycle and it fell out on the road. Well she scooped it up and headed to my old address which is only 2 blocks from my new place to return it. So i was like yes someone found it and oh my girlfriend was home and that she could drop it there. She interrupted and said "actually i am a home care\hospice nurse and i have a client that works out by your shop and that she would drop it in person at 1:00-1:15 p.m." I quickly thanked her and said im gonna give you a reward and she said no on the phone. Well she showed up with the wallet at 1:02 p.m. I WAS SHOCKED UNTOUCHED!!!!!!:rofl:rofl:clap

She apologized for the wallet being "gone through". But she was trying to find the owner. I quickly whipped out a $100 bill and said this is for you and she said "NO KARMA DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!"

And guys\gals i tried to give it to her trust me! I mean whats a hundred dollars that some crack head or dishonest person could have been living it up with. I would not have gotten it back if not for her honesty and being a honest person.

NICOLE was here name and i won't forget it. I offered her some services for her honesty in a text to the phone number i somehow got from her:headscratch............I can get cars fixed up in minutes using my guys at the shop. I mean 2 mechanics at once and 4 tire guys at once! If your on my good side your golden and i do trade work!!!!!!

HONEST PEOPLE DO EXIST AND THEY RULE!!!!!!!!!! THANKS NICOLE!

Nice story Preybird. There are lots of good people around. I bet the Hospice would appreciate a small donation. They do such good work.

People who do the type of work she does are special, to say the least. They make little money and receive little thanks. They do it for reasons of their own. It's not surprising that she would not take the reward. She did not return your wallet for that reason. She did it because it was the right thing to do, same as her daily job.

Give her respect and pay it forward, as she has stated to you. "(NO KARMA DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY)"

You are very fortunate to have had an interaction with her.

Happy to hear your story! Had a similar experience with my wallet at walmart. Could not believe it was turned in with almost 250 in cash. Flat blew me away, and I never got to thank the person who turned it in.

Stories like this help remind me that despite it all it still a beautiful world out there. And yes shame on you for not wearing at lest something with pockets! Or having a bag / pouch of some kind mounted to your bike!

I lost my wallet about 90 days ago, on the motorcycle, everything in it including gift cards and a cashier's check, AND my social security card.

I was in a panic. Freaking out, I cancelled everything successfully.

3 weeks ago, I get a phone call. Guy said his dog dragged it up to the house.

I went to meet him, everything was dirty and a bit mangled from the dog, but EVERY SINGLE THING WAS THERE!

I tried to give him a reward, he wouldn't take it. Wanted to teach his son about honesty.

I gave him my business card, told him call me any time for one free truckload of any size anywhere around Atlanta.

Honest people are out there.
