I hope this is a short lived and soon forgotten thread.

We have the Third Generation of "Leader" in the youngest son of Kim Jong-il. Kim Jong-un has not only his father's legacy, ( not pretty ) but also the issues of a younger prince not expected to be King.

I have no idea the internal dynamics of the N Korean regime, but the current aggressive posture is typical in many ways of past actions by the Previous Regime.

It is thought by some that this is for Kim Jong-un a way to keep power as well as demand Danegeld.

We've indulged three generations of narcissistic lunatic with bribes to shut up and go away, and conditioned them to believe this will always be a winning strategy. So far, so good. ( from N Korea's perspective )

Personally, I think this strategy on OUR part, insane, and historically can point to countless examples.

But some can say it better than I ever will.

http://www.poetryloverspage.com/poets/kipling/dane _geld.html

http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&load=8270&mpid=56

My concern is that WE have become conditioned that we will hear bluster, pay them off, and nothing, as usual, will come of it. ( except, of course, further suffering on the part of the N Korean people. )

No one really expects war. Unfortunately, that is exactly when it always happens.

See also parable of "the boy who cried wolf" and darn near every war.

Opinion?

It's only a matter of time before it goes hot over there. Not sure it will be this time, I think there has been too much bluster. All though he may not know how to ratchet it down. We will see when we offer them the next bribe.

For the Leader, whatever he wants.

http://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/love-a nd-marriage-in-north-korea-by-katharine-h--moon

Bit of a pity the news that the Leader announced the end of the ban on gay marriage was an Onion item. ( then a SNL skit. )

Alas, There won't be a wave of new tourists to the N Korean Bed and Don't You Wish You Had Breakfasts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage_in_South_Kor ea

Didn't bother checking the LGBTETC data on S Korea, Looks like mostly Monaganous 2 person/opp sex. Traditional.

I think I've figured out why the anger from N Korea.

No more Twinkies.

So there we have it.
It seems a pretty obvious solution to me, the CIA should be buying the old Twinkie manufacturing equipment under a fake name such as "Cake America" & secretly installing it in a hangar on an abandonned airfield somewhere.

Then they can go & overfly N Korea & scatter Twinkies liberally.
To destabilise KJU even more, they could print insurgent messages on the wrappers.

http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/391376/North-K orea-states-nuclear-war-is-unavoidable-as-it-decla res-first-target-will-be-Japan

"Nuclear war is unavoidable."

Actually, it's not. It would take some effort, and there would be friendly casualties, but we could end this, forever.

Or, alternatively, we could take them at their word, and nuke them. Then the unavoidable would be over.

I'm not in favor of that, but it's a thought.

Some years ago the Rand corp. did a study of several Congressmen, divided by "hawk" and "dove". Each was run through a scenario with escalating tensions with a rogue regime threatening war.

The "hawks" responded with force, in small amounts, total, but overwhelming in the locations used. Strikes at Air bases, Naval ports, and Army bases minimized civilian casualties, ( on ALL sides ) and........ the conflict was over.

The "doves" attempted negotiation, appeasement, everything but trust building exercises ( you know, the kind where you are supposed to fall backwards and your fellow lab rat catches you? ) When all these failed, in desperation the "doves" inevitably "pushed the button" and nuked the enemy.

Now, BHO is no dove. Sure, he played one for Code Pink ( now protesting many blocks away from the White House and the Press ) but he's the most kill happy fellow we've had in the White House since...I dunno.... Coolidge?

However, his Sec State is a foreign policy moron. The State Dept. will insist on negotiations even as they are fried in their own fat as their building burns. ( to be fair, that's WHAT THEY DO, Negotiate. ) And I'm afraid there's very few Muslim Brotherhood folk in N Korea for the President to over throw Kim Jong-un For.

What we are dealing with.

You may disagree with the late Mr. Hitchens, ( I often did ) but he had cojones. He went to N Korea, Afghanistan ( when the Taliban was ruling ) and other hells on Earth, trading on his Communist credentials to go where no honest reporter went.

Look how well paying off mad men has worked in history, and you dont have to look that far back, just the last world war will sufice.
Then look at desert storm part two. He bluffed his way into getting his ass handed to him.
Either way its not an easy situation, but i DO NOT want my kids inheriting this ongoing problem so its in my opinion that something stronger than words needs to be done.
This is when i dont envy polititions or generals.

The puppet 'leaders' will do exactly what they are told to do.

Kyle Bass writes:
"...Sadly, looking back through economic history, all too often war is the manifestation of simple economic entropy played to its logical conclusion. We believe that war is an inevitable consequence of the current global economic situation."

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2013/04/top-economi c-advisers-forecast-war-and-unrest-2.html

Countries formerly without 'Rothschild' Central Banks, all Muslim of course:
Afghanistan
Iraq
Libya
Sudan
Somalia
Syria
Lebanon

Job nearly done. Syria is not 'co-operating'. Seven countries in five years, just like General Wesley Clark said the plan was.

North Korea and Iran to go. Iran is too hard.

Yeah, the Bankers need a real good war right now to save their crumbling system. Problem Reaction Solution.

"So the dictator in N. Korea is doing the bidding of bankers?"

I don't remember saying that. The 'Dictator' is a clown. Even his haircut screams clown. The clown was partly educated in Switzerland. Give me a break. He's a patsy puppet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLdPpFsNLvE&feature =player_embedded

No "final peaceful settlement" of the Korean War has ever been signed. South Korea has never got it's finances sorted since the 1999 IMF bailout, and has not fully implemented the changes called upon for the bailout. Reunification of the Korean peninsula remains impossible. This is Wag the Dog.

"Maybe you misses who was threatening who?"

Perhaps, but I don't think so. I tend to agree with Gerald Celente. I know you claim return to your Constitution.

Here is an article from July 2000 written by Michel Chossudovsky.

"This article first published in July 2000 identifies the process whereby South Korean capitalism was literally hijacked at the height of the 1997-98 Asian Crisis. The objective was also to destabilize its major business conglomerates as well as take over its banking system. The IMF reforms triggered a string of bankruptcies and the downfall of industrial wages."

Tell me bankers have nothing to do with any of it.

What I read in your post seemed to clearly assert that those responsible for fomenting war were puppets of the bankers (doing the bidding of the bankers).

Not everything is a conspiracy. Bad things and evil people can and do present themselves from time to time without some "evil capitalist" in the background pulling the strings.

The problems with N. Korea will only grow worse because at some point they will develop an intercontinental missile capable of hitting the U.S. By our government's own admission N. Korea has the ability to place a nuke on a missile. Their stockpile of nuclear weapons will only grow in size. With their twisted mindset it's only a matter of time before they miscalculate and a real war breaks out.

That the Rothschilds and J.P. Morgan are behind all the evil in the world is not a new idea. Not saying it's true, just that it's not new.

I'm sure that a careful study of 19th & 20th century history would show that very rich people with great power have heavily influenced the politicians they bribe to to their bidding.

( a careful study also would show that Harvard Grads are cretins when in power in the real world. )

Just Look at the current Prez and his giving billions of dollars to "solar power" companies that bribe him with "campaign donations".

Or the near billion$ of illegal contributions from OPEC countries to, allegedly, ( and, unlike the solar companies motives, simple greed, speculative ) raise the price of oil, ( Done! ) and keep America from energy independence by limiting oil exploration on Federal lands ( Done! ) and delay a Canada to Texas pipeline to get Canada to sell the oil to China. ( Done! )

Corruption has been with us since before Babylon.

But the idea that the "jew Bankers" ( I know the ethnicity hasn't been mentioned yet....but it Will be ) rule the world from behind the scenes is so cobwebbed, so decrepit, and so full of historical exploitation, from the dark ages on, that I'm just not buying it.

Kim may be a puppet of his grandfather's racist propaganda, or the Generals that hold the power, or even Walt Disney's Frozen head, but the only way to tell for sure is to kill him and see who rules, and how, afterword. I suspect the Cult of personality that is the Kim family is a vital part of the rule by the Generals, but the level of exploitation and actual decision making process is opaque to the west.

As a side note, many in the news repeat that N Korea is a Communist country.

It is not. Yes, they USED the religion of Communism to gain and it's techniques to hold power, but it's been at least 5 years since N Korea renounced Communism and has been strictly "Songun" or racial military rule.

Rule based on purity of blood. Korean women that go to China to work for money to feed their families, who come back pregnant, are forced to get abortions to preserve the purity. N Korean Propaganda constantly complains about the muddy blood of the S Koreans who have interbred with ( gasp ) American Soldiers and even "monkey like" black Americans! The Horror!

Consider previous regimes in history that were racial identity dictatorships. Or if you went to 21st century public school and know nothing about history besides the Glorious Labor Movement and the evil of the Founding Fathers and their sex with slaves, go sing praises to YOUR Glorious Leader and eat your tofu. ( apologies if you like tofu )

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_North_Korea_still_a_c ommunist_country

which makes stuff like this....

http://tv.msnbc.com/2013/04/11/north-korea-5-thing s-you-need-to-know/

Suspect for it's bad scholarship.

But International bankers conspiracy? Sure. I bet it's a factor. Compare that to China's internal push to go Imperial, and The Deep Dark Evil Overlord business seems kinda crowded. I'm skeptical.

Alfau, Blake was teasing me.

( good one, blake! )

Since I've been teasing him on the marriage thread.

The mention of marriage MAY actually be important when discussing a regime that passes power down the "family tree".

Kim jong-un is NOT the previously presumed heir. I don't know exactly what the older prince did to torque daddy off, ( but it involved Disney World ) but -un isn't the eldest, from the first marriage, or even an acknowledged marriage. His Mother, however, is now officially praised as virtuous and great.

You may laugh but the legitimacy of succession is a big deal and has led to some devastating wars these last 10,000 years. Don't let the Mao jackets and tanks fool you, this is pre medieval stuff.

simply put - NKorea is China's junkyard dog. When China decides to jerk its chain it will likely shut up or at least quiet down considerably. For some reason, it seems that China wants to find out just how ferocious its dog can make itself out to be before anyone makes the call to shut it up on their own accord. Some folks are of the opinion that the dog will jerk its chain and bear its teeth with real gusto sometime early this week. The chance that the ugly, ferocious mutt will be able to break the chain with its own power is always there but somewhat unlikely. Greater is the chance that someone will decide to preemptively kick the dog while it is still chained, at which point the owner will come out to see who abused his barking but not attacking dog - then all bets are off. The 'who, when and where' of the kicking incident is a formidable issue in and of its own.

I grade my allegory an 8 for accuracy - 6.5 for creativity. Your adjudication may differ

The way it looks to me is this;

KJU is puppet of his Generals & therefore viable only as long as he has a use.

Until now his use has been as a beard for said Generals to push the West for aid.

That's not working anymore so we're on one last roll, Pay off or KJU will push the button, he will, he really will, we're telling you he will...
Oh alright, well now we've topped him because he was a nutter, can we pretty please have a shitload of money to join your club?
