Ummm, whoops... just now looked at the weather forecast, and DANG it's gonna be too cold to ride without electrics- which I do not have... i have electrics and have used them a few times, but its never to cold to ride without them. years of riding at or even below zero without have proven that to me...! How cold are we talking here??? Yes....How cold exactly??? it doesnt actually get COLD there, so you guys should be ok. they are talking the southern U.S. version of cold... lol. which is t-shirt weather for us in the good old central states!  Bwahahaha!!! It's going to be awesome! oh i know it will be! we cant wait!!! first time to vegas, plus we get to meet up with you guys again, as well as slaughter and the wifey it sounds like! it may be a rough few days! | ||

Mark, Vern, that would be super cool, keep us posted. Speaking of cool... Raining non-stop here today, a muggy 73 degrees F, so it's cooling down... You have to remember it's got to be a really cold winter to reach freezing here, we live around the same latitude as Orlando, Florida... Thats the doorstep of some of the best roads on the planet! It was a long time ago, a trip with my parents and one of my sisters. My folks used to live in Seattle before I was born and they had friends who lived in Salmon Arm that we went to visit. I remember it was a beautiful drive and I'd love to go back some day, preferably on two wheels  | ||

I know it is kinda far but we are having our bi-monthly SCAB meeting this Wednesday at Lucille's BBQ at 23760 El Toro Rd, Lake Forest, CA. We will banter about Buells, Laguna Seca, our dirt riding prowess in Ocotillo Wells this past weekend, etc. The BBQ is sumptuous and the beer is good. Hope you can make it as V&C can meet old and new friends. | ||

See now... I get them first when they are so frikkin' jetlagged, they don't know if they have come or left yet. I was impressed yesterday though, when they found their way to Walmart. I think this jet lag thingie is working itself out of the system faster than I had thought. I think you're right Tim, I might need to be looking out for an imminent attach. Naah.. I'l just make sure they are well fed and likker'ed up so they stay docile. | ||

Yup, uhuh, Waffle House was good!  The time differences all over have yet to totally confuse us, although it's been an effort keeping up. Of course, as usual, the hospitality shown us by all these awesome people has been second to none, and is making the trip all the better. Really glad the Dalton Gang has made the trip to spend some time today, after a quick catch up last night, and looking forward to seeing who else can make the 'festivities' today. | ||

Well, suffice it to say. The police showed up. Good news is, I've not been served an eviction notice by the HOA. as far as pictures..... No go. I've been paid off. Take good care of 'em. They,re good eggs. | ||

Ya know how if you take a year off from riding, other than a few 30 mile trips, it is like being on your first ride ever? I made sixty miles today where I had to call it off. I have old rusted aching joints that would not allow me to go any more. Even with BC powders for body aches. In my absence from riding, and having been physically detained by one ailment or another ever since I got spider bit a year and a half ago, my fatness seems to have multiplied making matters like aches and pains even worse. If I made it down there today it would likely be in my truck.....the back of it, lying down..... with someone else driving. I know what would help  , but I will not drive or ride after consuming medicinal mountain spring water. Ya'll have a great time! | ||

Dang Vern! we need to figure out what the hell to do with yourself and myself! I'd love to make it down to North Georgia but we have committed plans to go to far East Tennessee... everyone be sure to keep the rubber side down! |
