It's real racing, it's just closer to F1 racing than to the NASCAR of yesteryear when they raced real cars that you and I could buy. I believe that if they were racing real cars, American cars would be built a whole lot better than they are, especially in the suspension department. | ||

"Like watching a bunch of skittles flushed-down a toilet" ( thing about it for a second...) I have raced everything with 2 or 4 wheels, yea and driving these thinks takes alot of skill. At Daytona, however it is just W.F.O and go. As I said, if you don't know how the rules are "tweeked" by NASCAR, shame on you..Any comments on the Toyota engine that was originally based on a well-developed "Chevy" small-block? | ||

Way to show your ignorance on the subject F22! Now for some heartbreaking facts.... 3 of the 4 fastest qualifiers were Stewart Haas cars. The other top 4 driver is Gordon, who drives a Hendrick car end engine, the same place SHR gets there stuff from. She sat on the pole in the Nationwide race last year. She qualified very well for Daytona last July. I could add more, but that should be enough to pop your stupidity balloon. | ||

especially in the suspension department." I don't think we would want our street cars to have suspension anywhere near Nascar stuff, would ride like hell. I did the Petty thing, was interesting. I only went 145 or so (would have to dig up those papers/pictures for exacts), I cant imagine going 200mph and having 40 other people around you inches (or less!) away from you. Some people just gripe about nascar for no real reason at all. I am not a nascar diehard fan by any means, but I see the skill and talent involved. Not just in driving but strategy. | ||

I think it's funny some of the people that thought it would be easy pickings to come from Indy or F1 racing to clean up in NASCAR only to find that they can't drive the damn things. There was a time I followed it pretty closely. These days I really don't care much one way or the other. I certainly don't take your comments personally, but they are way off base. | ||

I don't care much for Nascar, can't say I've ever even watched a race all the way through on T.V. However, seems to me she raced on an equal footing with everyone else and won the pole. Nicely done. Starts in the ideal place, has as good a chance as anyone else. Seems fair to me. And she does clean up well. BTW, see the Force girls at Pamona? They did o.k. too. | ||

I watched EVERY race...went to 3 or 4 a year also. Earnhardt SR died......I have not watched or went to a race since. I don't really follow it anymore at all. I prefer grassroots dirt track racing anyways. Better views, more action and LOTS cheaper to follow. | ||
