for a Tao Tao Chinese made motor products dealership. I was looking for quads for the family. I love the name brands but they are several thousand dollars more expensive than the Chinese products. well I bought the lil man a Tao Tao last Christmas and the machine has been a great quad while he has not used it everyday or beat it it preformed better than expected. So I started doing research and there are so many Chinese brands it's maddening well Tao Tao has this http://taotao.us/ a place to hang your hat in the US so the choice is a little easier. Well a lot easier as a matter of fact. A place to go for warranty issues as a dealer, a good solid parts supplier, and someone to get information from with English capabilities. I have no idea what is involved in becoming a dealer but I am gonna find out hell I will put a big shed up in my back yard if I have to!!! I'd like to get a storefront and expand the forklift bus and add motorcycle products as well  Wish me luck!!!! |

Duc I do not sell Chinese forklifts I am service orientated gave up the idea after looking into the Chinese policy on territory for sales and service but you would already know that. In case you haven't heard it'll cost you $2-4 hundred K IF you can get a JAP dealership or Polaris which I can't so I should just pack it in I guess.Hey I got an idea how about baby steps. Ahh crap think before you type I don't even know if there is an American made atv anymore other than the American named polaris of which if you google my home town you can google how far a Polaris dealer is from it which you will be able to give in yards. When buying a starter quad that will be used for how long? Would you buy one for $2400.00 or $800.00? I wouldn't be an internet co. to my local customers I'd be employing American workers and paying American taxes I'd also sell accessories that might be American made so why the gripe? Killjoy |

I have personally owned (well, my kids actually own. LOL) about 4 chinese rigs. I have not had much luck with any of them. Inferior parts assembled with inferior hardware. The fuel lines all cracked and split/leaked everywhere. Batteries all lasted about 6 months. Welds crack out in short time. They sold like hot cakes around here for a year or 2 until the reputation got out, now they can't seem to give them away. There do seem to be "nicer" chinese ones out there, but I replaced all mine with used jap model stuff. I would start with a nice sized used atv/bike shop with a full line of accessories over the counter. Either way best of luck in your venture! |

I remember when they said the same thing about JAP bikes. Check out zuki and honda low end cruisers I suspect they are chinese for the most part . They appear to be out of the same factory. Brum has to start some where I suspect he could end up as a TATA dealer in the near future as India Ramps up.. Go for it Brum |

Not sure what that is City but I am sure it can be done you can buy a complete 125cc honda knock off pancake motor complete for $269 off the internet but make sure it's Lifan produced and the footprint of the engine should be the same? |
