China=Crap.... Wonder how long that tiny speedo pickup wire will last out there on the fork. First branch in the woods it will be gone. They don't think about crap like that in china. |

"The thing's got a fuel tank the size of a Trials bike" ..concur And, an extensive motor maintenance schedule, similar to that of a top fuel dragster.. jeez.. nice try anyway. |

Two years ago we purchased a chinese made SxS for our 7yr old daughter, it is a 150cc RZR type machine. I was aware of what I was buying and ready to do lots of work to keep it running. My kid has been chasing me all over our trails on countless weekends and the machine has been nearly flawless??? I did not expect this, I thought it would be crappy and need lots of tlc it has been the opposite. Through online forums I have found that my machine is not an anomaly, they just seem to be pretty well made, again very surprised. Guess there are just some decent Chinese manufacturers out there, the trick is knowing which one... This thing has been a real eye open'r for me. Still love my old KDX250, simple two strokes gave such great performance and light weight! Wish the eco side of it could have been handled better. If you want high performance and light weight from a four stroke I think high maintenance is just going to be part of the deal. |

I guess I could have paid more attention. I really don't care if it's quality is high, I'll not buy a Chinese anything if there's an alternative. |

I know it's off topic, but I find it amusing that they swept out the tracks when they wheeled it in for the picture, (no tracks from the left or right of the frame) yet it looks like they pulled it back away from the camera a bit, and didn't sweep away the drag marks. Why didn't they just move the camera? |

laugh while you will the CCW founder semms like a cool guy & their smaller-capacity singles look OK in the flesh - he's adamant about US content, but also a realist about engines & such good on CCW for reaching up & out with this least-expensive, street-legal, modern big bike - this is the "anti-Beta 450cc" - neither expensive nor exotic as you might guess, I have high hopes for CCW |

43.5 hp out of hi-strung chinese 450? I'm not liking that at all. Can only imagine how terrible the maintenance schedule is going to be on that compared to my SM610. |

I LOVE how much some of you focus on the Chinese aspect of it, when you probably have a home filled with Chinese goods. Likely typing the messages on Chinese made computers. Is some of it junk? Sure. Does it mean that its all garbage? Nope. For a bike you know nothing about, some of you really know a lot about its reliability and maintenance. Ease up. |

For not much more you could get a Thai built KLR, or a Husky with a Chinese BMW engine... I guess those are a slightly different market segment though. |

China=Crap? Not that many years ago it was Japan=Crap. More recently India=Crap. Keep shipping production ANYWHERE because you want to pay ten cents less for it at the local store and it's pretty obvious what happens. (BTW I just checked out a Chinese made Epiphone Casino and the workmanship was stellar; I hate to say it but it was on par with American Gibson guitars.) |

When in the world were Japanese products poorly made? Of course some companies in any country may be low quality, however Chinese made products are generally on the low to extremely low spectrum of quality. I have seen Chinese "Engineering", I choose NOT to place my life in the hands of their "Engineering". You may do whatever you wish, but it is not fiscally responsible if you include the possible medical care costs IMO. I have multiple Japanese products, and many US products, I try to stay away from Chinese stuff as much as absolutely possible. |
