WOW That picture brings back memories. Not the puppies, of course. That picture is one that really sticks in my mind. It shocked me when I first saw it. It made the whole shuttering of my favorite motorcycle company sting even worse. | ||

I think it is fairly obvious that there can be no truth from others. Therefore cutting and pasting cannot enlighten and spread truth. Wait... I am not very well spoken, but truth from someone else's mouth is no less true just because THEY said it. I continually learn much and more from "cut and paste" people on BadWeb, and demonizing the truth because it didn't come straight from a particular person's mouth seems idiotic at best. | ||

If I KNOW something without understanding it, it is not knowledge, but opinion. My opinion is often wrong. If I have one point of Hubris, it is my belief that I can learn from your argument. Give me facts, a logical reason, and perhaps my mind can be changed. Often, when in a discussion with the Religious Fanatic ( Greenie, Progressive dupe, Buffalo Bills Fan ) I learn how stupid people can be. I also, and this IS important, learn what lies are being told about me. ( me in the general, not personal. "me"? I hope to count as one thought the most threatening to tyrants. This had been verified by the Headmistress of DHS. ) The Sheep/sheepdog analogy isn't perfect. I count myself as a sheepdog, an old one, but still sniffing. I still find myself first on the scene at auto accidents, I still stand between the wolves and the sheep, but I'm a bit slow to get there, nowadays. The odds on me getting another award/wall hanger are low, since I'm not as often in places where it's common to see the wolves tearing at a victim. ( and getting an award is a fluke. If it's something you are striving for you miss the point. Like those who are very public in Charity. It's not charity if your name is on the check and that's the point. It's ego. See Sean Penn & his Katrina boat ) I also am mature enough that when the punk kids walk away from the confrontation, muttering what a loser I am, I don't have the need to "show them" what they just escaped from. They leave, the women and children are safe, for now, and I'm not in jail for breaking someone excessively. ( the other Sheepdogs can be Sooooo picky about that ) Win/win. As to the rightness of my cause? Am I trying to take away your stuff? If I call for some attention to be paid to Psychopharmacology in these cases, am I asking for a ban? If I complain that "safe zones" have proven, repeatedly to be failures, Am I trying to kill your children? I think the answer to those 3 questions is, "no". The "other side" however wants to steal your stuff, ban stuff, and keeps making rules that fail to NOT kill your children. | ||
