Tom, my third monthly donation to the Romney campaign cleared yesterday.

Here's a little R&R challenge for anyone interested. See if you can spot the spin:

quote:

Romney's Team Turns On The Press
By McKay Coppins, BuzzFeed staff Sep 13, 2012

DULLES, Va. — As Mitt Romney finishes his second week of dismal news coverage — with slipping polls and a combustible international crisis driving the narrative that the campaign is flailing...

You can read the rest of the article here: http://www.buzzfeed.com/mckaycoppins/romneys-team- turns-on-the-press

Good luck; I couldn't get past the lies in the opening sentence.

Its unsettling that both candidates get such massive donations. That top leaders who can influence laws and regulations based on who's paying is proof enough to me of how a massive bloated government with too much power is so easily corrupted. Communism and even socialism are good theories but the problem is they are governed by people...people with army's.

Don't worry about the big donations. YOU need to make a SMALL donation to the Romney campaign. Do it NOW.

Beating the war drum might make you feel good but is unproductive, if not detrimental at this time. This might change with events.

He'd be great in either role, as would Allen West.

I'm with Reindog - touchy times right now, forceful diplomacy is the first order of business. But dammit, I'm sick and tired of America apologizing for being America!

Robert,

Respectfully, Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are not candidates. Why do you make the puzzling statement that Romney is as bad as Obama? There is a huge difference between the two. Romney has governance and business experience, which are two of the most important qualities for the next President in this time of economic malaise. Obama, on the other hand, had zero those two qualities and it shows.

Listen, you live in New York where your vote is important. Please vote for Romney.

Baf, go ahead and "be interested" in Ron Paul and Gary Johnson, both fine men. But while you are actively working to build support for them in the future, please consider voting for Mr. Romney in the meantime.

You are actively supporting them, right? Money? Volunteering? Phone calls?

Yes I am more interested in drastically reducing government but to say Romney is as bad as that other dude is dishonest. Then again if he lost the talking heads say the republicans would be toast. A lot of people think the party needs rebuilt or even dissolved.

Ill continue voting for whoever supports the most liberty but after the primary its time to support the guy that can win.

Carter's policies fanned it to flames and it hasnt slowed down the perps change with the political boundaries but the real issue is its a Religious and Ideological war. Obama's Position on Israel 'Borders on Contempt'
By David Brody, CBN News Chief Political Correspondent - Sep 17, 2012

WASHINGTON -- GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan says the Obama administration's actions toward Israel border on "contempt."

It was just one of several criticisms the Wisconsin representative had regarding President Obama's foreign policy record.

...It's Obama's record that Ryan and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney have called into question. One example is foreign policy.

They called him an "apologizer in chief" who hasn't been a good friend to Israel. Just this week, Obama said he wouldn't have time to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"I'm really troubled by this," Ryan told CBN News. "Israel is our greatest ally in the Middle East. Of all times when we need to show very little daylight if any between our relationship with Israel is now."

Complete Interview with Mitt and Ann Romney on “LIVE! with Kelly and Michael"
By RightScoop.com, Sep 18, 2012

Maybe my favorite interview with Mitt and Ann Romney ever. It aired this morning but I believe it was taped a few days ago.

And of course the interview wasn’t all about policy, thank goodness, but the way Romney handled the policy questions I felt was superb. And they got mad applause multiple times throughout the interview with regard to his answers on policies.

At one point he was asked what he agrees with regarding Obama, and I got a little nervous there, but after talking about taking down Bin Laden and that they both appreciate family, he transitioned it into how he has the tools to fix our unemployment problems in America. He even said at one point regarding the creation of jobs that its important to recognize that government doesn’t create jobs, that people create jobs. Loved it!

National Rifle Associations's Chris Cox Goes One On One With Mitt Romney
By Chris Cox | NRA-ILA, Sep 11, 2012

This year’s election is going to define the future of our freedom, perhaps more than any other in our history. For gun owners, there are a number of areas crucial to the survival of our Second Amendment rights. That’s why I took the time to visit with Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential nominee, to find out precisely where he stands on the issues of concern to gun owners.

Chris W. Cox: First, let me start with the most basic question of all. In the 2008 case District of Columbia v. Heller, and in the 2010 case McDonald v. City of Chicago, the U.S. Supreme Court—by a 5-4 majority—held that the Second Amendment guarantees the fundamental, individual right of all law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms. Do you agree that the Second Amendment protects a fundamental, individual right to own and use firearms for all lawful purposes?

Gov. Mitt Romney: Absolutely, and I was pleased when the Court finally rendered a clear and concise decision on this critical issue. The Second Amendment is essential to our free society. I strongly support the right of all law-abiding Americans to exercise their constitutionally protected right to own firearms and to use them for lawful purposes, including self-defense; the protection of family and property; hunting and recreational shooting.

Not all parts of the patriot act are bad. We need tools to fight people who know our laws, and know how to work around them, or to use them to trap us into protecting them instead of prosecuting them. Tearing America apart from the inside is one of their stated goals. They have learned, with help from outfits like the ACLU and CAIR, to play our courts like a fiddle.

FB1, allow me to assist boogiman. All of the republican presidential candidates support TSA grope and scan policy including Michelle Bachman and Rick Perry. Newt even said we could stand to ramp up security. Ron Paul was the lone wolf saying we could have security without losing liberty. So you can place your bets he backs the patriot act.
