Well they announced today that this plant will be shut down so I am going to be needing a new job sometime in the next few months. Lots of experience as a buyer/planner/expediter and good with the nuts and bolts of modern ERP systems. I understand and can build BOM's Ideally I would like a small company that needs someone to not just buy stuff but set up and maintain an ERP system. Any leads appreciated. I am two weeks away from having a solid resume together; want to get it right not rush it so if you want to see one of those it will take a little bit of time to get it finished. |

Good luck Dave, and I'm sure you'll land on your feet. Unfortunately, I don't have any leads for you, but if I come across anything I'll keep you in mind. |

Dave: GE Healthcare always looking for good talent. We use Oracle with many modules. Waukesha campus is where you'd go to interview. I've always said that if the hiring mgr will meet with me for 5 minutes, we'll both know if it's a good fit! Keep us posted and best wishes in your search. |

Dave, I do not know if you are interested in moving but you can check Crown.com, Career Opportunities. We do not have any plants in WI but may have distributors near by. Manufacturing facilities are in IN, OH and NC. I hope you find something soon and hope the best for you. As they say, for every door closed another door opens. |

Its tough out there, especially with Taleo X and Kenexa ; between them and the 37 seconds of 'priority' that an HR generalist will give your resume - ugh. Good luck. Much of the Medical Administration / Electronic Health Management widgets are going to be dicey until after the election. If Romney gets in - that funding is gone; quickly. |

Any chance you'd consider a spot at http://www.scaled.com ? It's a move to the remote regions of CA. |

We are going to stay in the Milwaukee area. Kid has two more years of HS. Wife has a good gig and worst case I can do contracts here for a while. I have a lead on and interesting possibility way up north in Wisconsin and it is not going to open up until next year so I may be a neat place. "up north" is great but very hard to find good jobs. Looks to be any number of buyer type positions here in the Milwaukee area. So keep my fingers crossed. Me age may hurt me but I can sort of pass for late fifties with little effort so I may be OK. |
