Watch the live feed! You can get Turn 3 and front straight and the announce booth. Worth tuning in if you can't be there.

Tried it during practice and qualifying. Not too great a view... you find yourself wishing for an aerial view but getting live timing, the announcer, and a track view from front straight and T3 is kinda cool.

I rode home (2 up)in that rain. Happily the wind was blowing along the Delaware Memorial Bridge rather than across it.

It's amazing just how much of a gap Josh Hayes pulls on the pack. Standing at the fence on turn 3 I'd see Hayes coming off of turn 2 from the left, go by through turn 3 and disappear over the hill on the back straightaway. Then I'd look back to the left and wait a bit for the second place bike to appear.

Herrin made up a lot of time also after having had to start from the back and then rolling wide into the grass early on. Grave's Yamaha definitely has their riders and machines dialed in.

He's OK.

SPOILER ALERT -

STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SPOIL IT.

Geoff got a good start, (we were at start/finish) and at the first lap he was third. Held it through the race. 'Slick was back and forth, up and down, 8th-ish (c'mon, Danny...you can do better than that!!).

I want to say it was about seven laps to the end, Geoff went by in third again, Roger Hayden was nipping his heels at the line and going into turn one, he passed.

Or tried to.

All I saw was tire smoke, a flying body, a flipping bike, and tons of sand in the air. And, the guy who rode out of the debris...wasn't Geoff. The corner workers simply stacked some hay bales in front of the bike. Geoff was up and about, waving his arms at Hayden in a "WTF???" gesture, and there were EBR parts all over the track. Then Geoff got picked up in a golf cart (beats a helicopter!), and was visibly pissed as they drove him through the camping area to head back to the pits. The instant the checkered flag flew, I got an email from Court - no body, just a subject: "Geoff okay?".

I went to the pits after the race. Geoff IS okay, and it was apparently a dirty pass. The ENTIRE right side fairing of Geoff's bike (from his knee forward all the way to the forks) was flat-COVERED in tire rubber from Hayden's bike. He hit him early, and stayed into him. The wheelbarrow full of bike (not kidding here) had a front caliper still attached to the fork bottom. An airbox cover. Half a tail subframe. A front fender (since autographed and given to a fan who I'd guess was about nine years old - how cool is that!!). A hosed front wheel assembly. Part of a bellypan. A front fairing support clamp. And some other bits. The main fairing - left and right sides together - was pretty hosed on the left, and like I said - COVERED in rubber. If you think of the wall in a NASCAR race after drivers hit it, and scrub rubber on it...that's Geoff's fairing.

He was joking in the pits, signing pieces of debris for fans, and watching the bike be disassembled before loading it back on the truck. He's probably gonna be really sore tomorrow...but HE'S FINE.

For perspective: he didn't remember me from a year ago (go figure), but right after a "yeah, you do look familiar" I told him I was glad he's ok, and he shook my hand and thanked me for showing *my* support.

The man is a true sportsman, and I'm glad he's on our team.

And I'm glad he's OK.

Geoff is not only a great racer, he's a great athlete so he'll recover quickly and we've got plenty of bikes.

It's really disappointing to see such a great ride doomed by such and amateur move. It was cool to see Geoff ahead of EVERY Suzuki in the race.

I was sorry to have missed the race. I flew back in yesterday and Erik gets in today . . but everyone was keep close tabs on everything.

The reports I am getting are that there was significant interest and enthusiasm around the EBR pits and products. Geoff and Danny are both fabulous racers and fabulous ambassadors.

Off to Florida !

Thanks . . a HUGE thanks . . to all the EBR fans who turned out. It's amazing to see the outpouring of support from old and new fans.

Court

It may have been Blake...I was going on who finished third in the standings.

I doubt they'd review anything. Unfortunately, we live in the Land of NASCAR - where "rubbin's racin'".

Support was amazing. EBR wear was everywhere, and there was always a line at the paddock and during the pit walk. We have our own merch tent!! And one of our guys said he saw quite a few corner workers in EBR shirts...how cool is that??

Court - I am a fan...but you don't have to call me OLD!!

Thanks for the update Joe!

As for Spudd channel, I'm even more pissed that they cut the last 20 minutes of the dang race, after I stayed up so late to watch...

Maybe they should be renamed "Speed Douche Canoe Channel"...

Did anyone see this old coot stealing an 1190RS out of the EBR pits while everyone else was watching Geoff May's brilliant ride at NJ Motorsport Park?

The authorities are asking for information about the miscreant who was described as a large white male, reportedly wearing a Buell 25th Anniversary tee shirt, a black Buell hat and no sox.

He was last seen heading north on route 55 at a high rate of speed and running red lights with impunity.

It was definitely Blake. Roger was the beneficiary of the 'incident' as it has been referred to in the press.

I was watching from the back side of the track up on the officers club deck. The view afforded a great take on the different lines coming into the turn 3 sequence -Geoff went in very, very deep usually. Hayes not so much, and much smoother in the transition. Coming out of the sequence the EBR's showed a large amount of movement but pulled up the hill fairly well. It was especially interesting hearing the traction control kick in on the two Josh bikes (which sound great. the EBR's I could feel through my feet!). Herrin was really putting the electronics to work!

Also, sneaking a seat on the Attack CRT bike was cool! I was amazed by the accessibility to the garage area! Fantastic event overall.
