I still have a couple pages to catch up on, in this thread... been out camping. Initial reaction.... Human sexuality is the funniest thing since....... Primates? I don't have any religious issues with consensual, adult sex. Period. I assure you I have a moral code that suits me just fine, and I fall short of it's ideals often. Mostly, I figure it's none of my business, and ask that you don't scare the horses, or do especially rude things in front of children. ( there is substantial room for argument in the limits of that request. ) I get downright medieval when children are involved, as far as assault and rape goes... I'm right there with Glenn Beck & the kiddie molester incinerator. I also live in NY and support top free sunbathing... to be honest that requires a willingness not to be upset ( or vomit ) when most people are not super models. ( if not don't even look at that "people of Walmart" site.... shudder ) Concealing the genitalia is generally preferred, thank you. YMMV, and your kink is your own. Don't scare the horses, eh? racerx, I prefer to think the above 11:48 pic is 2 lovely ladies. Please Don't bother to tell me I'm wrong, and I'll thank you for the pic. Now, ignoring all this political and media hype.... Is that chicken joint any good? I've only been there once and the fries were soggy and the chicken nuguts overcooked. Is that typical? Did I catch a bad day? In other words, if I'm driving/riding cross country and see one, is it worth bothering to try again? | ||

Racer & Julie your lack of tolerance is showing. You want tolerance and inclusion in society then you act like spoiled nasty little children if its not YOUR way. If the bible scares your so much look to the greeks Aesop may be more than you can handle but give it at try. Your postions are rapidly becoming a source of crime and bigotry. I think it's funny when somebody criticizes someone else for not doing something they would never do themselves. I personally don't care who gets married. I don't think the government should have any say in the matter. Period. I support freedom of speech. I support freedom in general. Government regulation of marriage is not freedom, in fact it is the opposite of freedom. Lefties don't get it. They believe they think like Obama does, but they're wrong. He is counting on them believing that they are all on the same page, but in fact it is their dear leader who is screwing them the hardest in the end. LOL. | ||

Since crushing gays with heavy rocks, and hanging in public seems to be the common reaction to sexual deviancy in a rapidly growing part of the world, those who prefer such things should go and live where such things are the norm. You will have to give up your belief ( if Christian ) in Jesus as anything but a prophet. Or accept that YOU will not be well accepted in your new home. If the choice in your new gay-free home trends towards strict sharia law, ( the current trend ) you'll have to accept second class status as a convert, or if you wish to remain Christian, pay a tax ( often in the past, your female children to be raped by the leaders ) to be allowed to live in such lands. Accept that remaining Christian reduces your chances of being allowed to live at all... And more than triples your female's chances of being raped, & sold into slavery. Accept that you will be expected to murder them by stoning them to death if they do anything to upset the local mullahs. Or talk back to someone beating them up for being Christian. Crimes your daughter will learn to accept being murdered by YOU for will include holding hands with a boyfriend, showing cleavage, ( OK, ok, those 2 may make sense to you  fathers ) driving without a male relative ( ditto ) and being raped. Don't forget you may also murder your daughters for refusing to marry, at 13, a 58 year old uncle, or talking back. ( ditto? ) Small price to pay to never having to explain why the 2 girls in the mall are kissing, right? I won't be there, though. So Enjoy your Gay-Free world without me. I happen to like a place where I can see an occasional leg, or freckle, and enjoy theater. I'm a little more hostile to abuse than I think my society is, both women and children, and attribute THAT to MY religious beliefs. | ||

Jcbikes, Thanks, I passed one in Eire Pa yesterday, but it looked crowded so I hit Taco Bell. I enjoy Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. I assume the waffle fries aren't normally underdone? I'll give a food joint a second chance if they don't actually poison me, or are really rude. Every one can have a bad day. Third chances are rare, and serious inconsistency can drop a food chain off the list of safe places to eat on the road. Normally I much prefer a family owned diner to a chain, but "Moms" food can ruin a trip, ( and has ) that's WHY McDonalds is so popular planet wide. The falafel cart is the exotic, adventurous choice in a strange city, but a Big Mac has far less chance of intestinal disruption. But. I usually prefer to have at least 1 meal a day on trips at a "real" eatery. While driving past Iowa, we spotted a likely looking rib joint, "Famous Daves" and thought we'd scored a coup. Cute decor, good food, good service. Only after we'd ordered did we discover it's a big chain.  oops! Now there is one in Rochester. Highly recommended. | ||

Great post, Aesquire. Most of my life I've worked in the restaurant biz, so naturally (pun intended) I've known a lot of gay folks. To a person, they've ALL been some of the best, most REAL, honest, and good people I've had the honor to know in this life. Given their "orientation", they provide a unique view on life- being my friends, they help inform my worldview in manifold ways. On many occasions, a gay guy has "hit" on me. I just say, "thanks, no thanks, wrong flavor" and it's all good. Over time I've wished I had the same appeal to the wimmins. Jesus is just allright with me. I believe in the Gospel. What preceded His word was superceded, and is largely ignored by folks living today. No, I won't be drawn into debates on Scripture. I believe, and KNOW, the Gospel, and I KNOW that gays are children of God no less than I am. | ||

Over time I've wished I had the same appeal to the wimmins.  With you on that.... Christian charities tend to much higher throughput ( dollars in to dollars spent on the poor ratio ) than secular. Christian Charities are often the only ones willing to hire mercs to get the food or aid to the oppressed. I will not speak ill of legit charities run by other faiths, either. ( though the rise of Islamist-ism has corrupted some charities into terrorist support. ) Some charities are scams, bad people ripping others off using folks kindness. Check before donating. Not all Christians are terrorists. Not all Christians want to rule the world with an iron fist using their religion as a tool to oppress all before them. Not all Christians are bad. Substitute any faith in the paragraph above, and you may still be correct. The guy who runs the chicken joint company has every right to his opinion. ( which, by coincidence, is that of Barack Obama from 2008 to 2012 ) Being closed on Sunday, so his employees can have church/ family time? Good for him. You have every right to disagree. If it's your hot button issue, don't eat there. Or do, see if I care. I just don't want limp greasy waffle fries. | ||

It has been interesting, working for a company that closes all but 2 Sundays of the year, and keeps bank holidays as well. Every time the subject comes up with my guests, it has been 100% positive. God had a good idea, to work your butt off for 6 days, and take a rest on #7. I also appreciate Steven Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People"- #7 is "Sharpen the Saw". Without taking time to "sharpen one's blade", it becomes dull, and work is nowhere near as productive as it could be. Taking one day to do this will reap more benefits than you might expect. I've really grown to appreciate my workplace, and that's a RARE thing.  | ||

I own my company and it's closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Guess that makes the Christians, Jews, Muslims and 7th day Adventists all happy. Probably makes me a hater, though. Yeah I know SDA are Christians too but I'm tired of my brother telling me I'm going to hell because I go to church on the wrong day and the pope is the anti-christ too, but that's another story. | ||

The Muslim weekend starts on Friday in most Arab/Muslim countries. Friday is the Muslim Holy day. Interestingly enough, the two day weekend (Saturday off too) was first instituted to accommodate Jewish workers. So thanks for that | ||

I feel free to laugh at us too. ( not many places left you can do that ) You have to love a guy who puts on the internet, himself committing a crime. Hope he enjoys his stay in jail.
