WOW!!! that's a great story! so much better than all the usual political crap that is on here! The story didn't say when they would start making the new motorcycles. Maybe we'll start seeing them out when the International motorcycle show runs this winter. I hope so! Can't wait!!!! |

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Erik Buell is a class act. I'd love to have another one of his motorcycles in the garage someday...

Very nice to see confirmation that he has funding in hand. BTW- I clicked on the link at the bottom that says "click here or more on this story from the Milwaukee Business Journal’s website", but I couldn't find anything but old stories on EBR there. Did I miss it? |

He's a guy who always has a plan. It's great to see him get an opportunity to put it to work! I try to just leave some history alone, especially the painful kind, but I just can't quit thinking about what Erik could have done with just SOME of the money used to shut Buell down. I think he's about to show us! Rotzaruck! |

This is the best possible news on this casual Buell-shirt Friday at the office :-) Good luck and hope we'll see a touring bike in the '14 lineup |

Erik is the most inspirational man I have ever met.His enthusiasm was always present in whatever we where talking about,be it motorcycles, motorcycle racing, guitars or blues.I always left a conversation excited and hopeful for the future. |

Cool. I had no idea you could buy US citizenship though. Officially, not through bribery, which I'm sure happens also. |

This is possibly the best news of 2012! First we had EBR top 10 finishes in AMA Superbike with Eslick joining the EBR team, Goeff & Jody with a new baby, and now Erik gets funding to build Sportbikes for the rest of us. |

I was at my local Walmart today wearing a Buell tee shirt and someone came up to me and said that Buell is going to start making motorcycles again. I just shook my head and said YES he is! My how the word spreads so quickly. |

Hmm....some interesting facts about the EB-5 government investor program. First, the letter designation EB just happens to be the initials of Erik Buell...lol 2) the capital invested cannot be a loan 3) investment must be in a "troubled business" 4) business must be in a rural area or an area with unemployment at least 150% above the national average |

That is great! Interesting way to obtain financing. It takes creativity sometimes. I hope the providers of this cash don't somehow tie his hands the way HD did. I also hope at some point he moves beyond sport bikes to something like the Uly that can compete with the Multistrada 1200. That is my style of bike. |

I suspect if it's Hero, there will be no hand-tying going on... No matter how you slice it, though, it's great news! |
