He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4
When I was 5 I had to go to the principals office because I had said that Santa was Christ when he got old and fat.
(why else would they have the same day devoted to them - they are the same person! made perfect sense then !)
They were not fond of my Noah analysis either (as in why didnt Noah put two fish of every fish on the boat if indeed there were two of everything.... and there should have been only one worm cuz we know they can F themselves when you cut them....)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. - Jesus John 14:27
You're never going to let me forget that, are you Max.
Edit, for those who "weren't there".
A few years back there was a politico/religious discussion going on in one thread (nothing new then) & it had got to the stage where people were lobbing bible quotes back & forth quoting chapter & verse (yes that's where the expression comes from, but I digress.) to add a little levity & take the sting out of what was looking, to me, to become all out religious schism, I lobbed in one of my own quoting chapter & verse from my Haynes repair manual for Yamaha FJ1200.
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. (1 Corinthians 3:18-19 KJV)
There is more than one faith and more than one path to enlightenment.
Seek the one that pleases your soul.
The Haynes books can help in spiritual matters, but that depends on you.
If setting point gaps from knowledge gained from those books carries you on your journey? This seems to me to be a good. ( actually happened to me when I let my boss try my Suzuki. He dumped it right on the points cover, bending one. I fixed it at the side of the road.... and the journey continued. )
Misattribution. It entails correct recollection of information with incorrect recollection of the source of that information. For example, a person who witnesses a murder after watching a television program may incorrectly blame the murder on someone she saw on the television program. This error has profound consequences in legal systems because of its unacknowledged prevalence and the confidence which is often placed in the person's ability to know the source of information important to suspect identification. ~Wiki.
If there were no written words or books, the world would have witnessed nothing but ignorance.
I usually bought factory manuals when available, otherwise the Clymer manuals had to suffice.
Everything bad comes from people interfering. After the dust settles, children continue to sing and stars continue to shine in the night sky.
In the teeth of death, we live. In the teeth of life, we die. If we were dead even when we were alive, it's mute.
My first Harley, sitting unsold on the dealer's floor for 2 years. Insisted he swap out the chrome exhaust from an XLS & air cleaner cover for the original black set. Bought at Port Angeles H-D out by our friend Cityslicker. Riding it home, the left mirror fell out of frame.
Harley being a religion, it's posted here. Carry on.....
Beautiful downtown Unalaska, Alaska, circa 1971. Better known by the name Dutch Harbor. A lady who knew I fished crab there asked me last week if I watched the TV show. "Yes, a few years ago." I answered, "Told the wife they were working too slow." She said I probably wished I was making that kind of money back then. Hmm, I smirked, we were making a lot more money than those guys on the TV show. When I started, there were 33 boats in the Bering Sea fleet, when I left, over 300. Slice the pie in so many pieces, everyone gets less.
And- thanks Mox, for the pics- RIDING motorcycles is a SPIRITUAL thing for me.
Good stuff.
Just got in from driving to/fro ATL airport to send my honey off- she has to go bury her Papi in the Dominican Republic tomorrow. Pray for her strength.
Thanks Squids, I'll snipe that for other uses. Mathematics applies to everything in the universe except One and the closest I've seen "it" described is in relation to quantum foam by a person who couldn't say what "it" was.
And yes, we'll say a little something for her and her father. Regards, M
