Those valve stem lights are crap. I think you probably saw some of these. I ran across these while researching my LED kit. I have three pods in each fender on my Vulcan which lights up the wheel pretty good but nothing like this. I watched the installation video and it's pretty in depth.
A little more info on why drivers can't see motorcycles. This thing totally blew my mind. Makes you wonder what else is running around out there (perhaps in the woods, or maybe over air strips?) that our brains won't process.
Hey folks- I just got in from doing some shopping, found something I'd not seen before- "iron-on" reflective strips!
We just got an Ollie's Discount store here in Maryville TN- also one in N. Knoxville- found it there for $1.99 a roll- for some reason they don't show the total length, but surely some creative folks could get some scissors and cut some cool shapes to remain "stylish" AND be a little safer.
Of course, iron-on stuff has its weaknesses, but I'd try it on denim for sure, and definitely anything someone's kids are wearing out at/after dusk.
"SafeStrips" is the brand, "Alpena" the parent company, if anyone cares to look these up. At the price I got them for, can't hurt to try them out!
I'm developing a love/hate relationship with Ollie's- they're like a REALLY good Big Lot's on steroids- love the deals, hate spending $$$ like I do there!
