Check out the front brake on the top-of-the-line model.

Nice they put it on the lightweight model. I like that caliper and the bike it comes on. The front fairing/nose is a little too pointy for me. The video was quite boring though.

Radially mounted nonetheless! Pretty cool!

Does look SD'ish. The head light mask, tank, and tank shrouds.

Very nice, I could pop down to the factory in a day from here & ride mine back.

But at €23,000 I think NOT!!

For you colonial cousins that comes out at over 30 grand!! in dollys.

"... single brake setup; handles real well ..."

Well, I hope they pay tribute in the form of royalties to the patent holder who originated the design instead of just lip service.

Svh says: The front fairing looks to pointy for me.

I think the front fairing looks like a cartoon character from way back like WW II back with a black fedora. Maybe like Heckel and Jeckel

Just because the blurb says 'front brake like a Buell' doesn't mean anything.

The brake on the Bimota is a development of the Braking front wheel setup that has been around since the late 1990's and has been fitted to various bikes since (Ghezzi & Brian Moto-Guzzi based sportsbikes had these as standard). The only new thing on this one is the radially mounted caliper.

It is NOT the same as the Buell ZTL brake and has actually been around longer.

For those who don't know any better, what's the difference? the caliper mounting?

Right... the genius of the ZTL brake was not the brake... that's pretty much break even (on a good day). It's the resulting allowance of dramatically lighter wheels, which give rotational and unsprung weight advantages.

Buell's patent wasn't for a perimeter mounted brake disk, it was how it's mounted in the rim itself, and how that mounting allows it "float".
